My friend emails me nearly every day and always wants to know what I am eating for lunch! Maybe it is because I am trying to be healthy now so I avoid Hungry Jacks etc as I would hate to have to admit to eating it!
So... what are you having for lunch today?

Ohh my naturopath (who I haven't been to in years!) recommended
Apple, Carrot, Celery & Beetroot - I used to love it! It was recommended for my low iron levels but am sure it would be good for other things too!
Apple Carrot Celery and ginger is another good one from memory - the ginger gives it a bit of a kick! :penguin:

Pineapple?? That's interesting!
Yeah it made it a bit sweet - only small pineapple pieces!
I tend to get a bit carried away at the salad shop - you stand and point out all the 'toppings' you want in your salad so it's hard to think on the spot what would go best - it all tasted good though! :drunk:

Yep, just from the fish and chip shop on Rathdowne St. It's their "fish burger" - usually they put egg+cheese+onion in it too but I asked for just salad.

It's cold a miserable here today in Melbourne, and I'm having bad thoughts already about what to have for lunch:redcheeks: . I'm thinking fried dimsims, chips... anything fried and hot. A scotch and coke would be nice too... I probably shouldn't say that at this time of the morning, you might get the wrong idea about me!

We each had a pie from the famous Avoca Pie Store in country Vic, yeah not your typical lunch, but lunch on the run when you still have hours to drive!
Made up for it tonight, mum made a fish dish called Bakala (a salted dry fish) that is soaked, bones removed and then cooked in the oven with potatoes, onion and tomato. Three days to prepare, no wonder we only have it once a year!

Plain old ham and salad roll today i think with extra philly cheese and advocado.
I live in a small country town so therefore we have crappy takeaway food so its just easier for me to go home for lunch. There are so many days when i just want KFC for lunch or noodle box or a reallt delicious salad that i don't have to make.
Oh well, ham and salad roll will have to do. Boo HOO

Research suggests you shouldn't eat carbohydrates alone, eat it with some protein and/or a good fat.
Eg. don't eat an apple on its own, eat it with a handful of walnuts/almonds or a piece of low fat cheese. Leaves you feeling fuller for longer. :)

Me too Sapphire. That's why I'm an awesome cook (if I may say so myself :ashamed: ) when it concerns savoury food, but I absolutely suck at baking because I'm terrible at following recipes!
Ozcat, I cannot bake for the same reason, lol! I wish I could though - I love the smell of the house when someone is baking cakes or bread...heavenly!

I'm also a compulsive batter-eater....I loooove eating raw cake/muffin/biscuit dough or batter out of the bowl. Then I wonder why my cake only turned out 3cm high - it's because I ate half the mixture before it went into the tin!

Me too - and then I get puzzled as to why I've only ended up with 18 biscuits when the recipe said I'd have 30...
Am about to go and have lunch now - golden syrup and date flavoured porridge.

I just had a toasted wrap from MYO - Make your Own - not sure if it's something we've only got in Brisneyland but you go in and put together your own sanger or wrap and they charge you for it... good if you are still wanting to be healthy...
oh and a nudie juice - trying to be somewhat healthy today! :glee:

I had carrot sticks with tzatziki....not the worst thing in the world, but probably not the best either (the tzatziki wasn't the low-fat variety....).
I had a chicken schnitzle stack! And a Pure Blonde (NAUGHTY:whipcrack:). It was great guns!
