I recently read somwhere that the very first Kiehl's store is about to be opened in Sydney (paddington I think). I was wondering if it has opened yet? I have been to a couple of Kiehl's stores overseas and they are just gorgeous. The stores all look the same and have beautiful wood rustic type appearances. I will be taking a trip to Sydney to check this store out for sure! Does anyone else like Kiehl's?

I have not tried their products although you can get a selection from Mecca. Supposedly their silk grooming creme (for the hair) and the body lotion are their best sellers. :)

I love Kiehls products.Their creme de corps body lotion is my favourite. It's really rich and super moisturising.

Do let us know. The Kiehl's website does list stores around the world. The have one listed in Paddington NSW as well as others around Australia but when you click on them, Mecca's addresses come up!

Fear not peoples, I will find out where the Kiehl's shops are. Have a super agent on the job this weekend if he can't find out where they are then they don't exist. Will report back as soon as I get the info:sunnies:

I think they may be putting a standalone counter in the new David Jones beauty hall...

You're right CaffeineAddict. Kiehl's is now in the new beauty hall at David Jones Bourke St, Melbourne. Not sure of the presentation, the blurb at www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,20666333-662,00.html tells more, check out the last paragraph.

Let me know when someone checks it out, havent been into town for a little while but would love to see the $30 million refurbishment!

In the current issue of Shop til U Drop released yesterday, it states on page 195 that the first stand-alone store is opening in early December at 396 Oxford St, Paddington. (02)9326 9980.:spin:

No mention of it I am afraid. They might want to trial the Sydney one to see if it is viable??

The concept store at DJ's in Melbourne is very well presented and in a great prominent part of the floor. I am yet to try Kiehls but have got two of the Ultimate Hand Salve on their way - yes me and my hand creams!:hearts:

I frequented the Kiehls counter at D.J's in Melbourne on the weekend. I just love it. I bought so much stuff from them (will list later in pinkcupcakes Melbourne adventure thread). The sales team look great. They wear white lab coats and kind of look like pharmacists or doctors! They have a huge selection of produts and give the biggest samples I have ever seen in my life! I was given well over 50 samples in 5ml sachets as well as over 20 x 30ml bottles of different moisturisers and 3 x 25ml bottles of toners. How amazing is that. I basically got more product in the samples than I would have got if I had purchased the full sized bottles. Apparently Kiehls have always given generous amounts of samples and it is a really good marketing tool for their company.

Also once I have used the products in the little 30ml bottles I can wash out the bottles and use them for future travel.

In all the Kiehls counter is a must see. It is such a great environment to shop in. The staff are so friendly and not pushy in the slightest. I was also given tins of musk sweets to eat as I walked around browsing. The little silver tins have Kiehls written across the front and contain heaps of musk sweets (so many they will keep you going for a week). I will also use the tins for something else later!

Emmy Kiehl's products are to die for! Kiehl's is also extremely generous with samples. Their samples are huge. Last year I got a bag full of samples including 60ml shampoo and conditoner, several bottles of 30ml facial moisturiser, about 20 5ml sachets of different products and 5 65ml hand creams. Now who else I ask you gives samples like that!!

i've recently started a tube of the blue herbal spot treatment and finally found out why it gets great reviews - it zaps my blemishes very fast - it is not the most comfortable feeling, but definitely bearable when its so effective!

I use this too ladyver, it's great. Definitely gets rid of blemishes and luckily I didn't have any sensitivity problems (just feels a bit cold!).

Apparently it's almost always sold out, so must be good stuff!

yep, i plan to spread the word :yelling:

hmm... i definitely get more than a cold feeling though, but it doesn't lead to any redness so i am not worrying about it - i just tell myself i can feel it working :whipcrack:

i read somewhere recently that redheads feel pain more than others, so i like to use that as an excuse when i am being a whimp :chuckle::redcheeks::whistle:

Does it go on clear Ladyver?

Does it go on clear Ladyver?

yes, it is a clear, almost gel consistency and you only need the tiniest bit for each blemish - about the size of a pin head (an all metal one, not the ones with the coloured plastic ends)

Cool. I've been looking for a good clear spot treatment. At the moment I just use some of my mud mask on a blemish but it's not the most attractive thing waking up with mud on your face. Might have to give this a go.

I love the Kiehl's Soothing Gel Masque, I use it about once a week to give my skin a bit of a hydrating, soothing boost. It's my first Kiehl's product and has prompted my once-weekly visits to the Kiehl's website making lists of things I want!! (it's so just porno for women!)

Started using the eye makeup remover and its very good. The creamy teture meant i had a few issues keeping the stuff out of my eyes, but i have learnt my lesson...i think...

PS Yes I am very curious to try and want some opinions, lol!

I have been using their eye makeup remover for a while (bought it while on honeymoon) and im not too impressed by it.

It's a milky texture and takes a bit of work to get all my crap off my eyes. Works well on eye shadow but struggles a bit with mascara i find. Comes in a fairly big bottle too so it seems like its never ending!

I have tried the "creamy avocado eye treatment" cream. Which I found to be not great but not bad either. However it was also my first eye cream purchase so yeah, can't really compare it to anything.
