I'll admit it, I love TV! What shows do you gals watch on a semi-regular basis? My fave show is the West Wing, and when I remember (I'm a shocker) I try to watch Prison Break, Ugly Betty and Love My Way. So disappointed that Love My Way ended this week - best Aussie show I've ever watched!

So what does everyone else like to watch? Or maybe you hate TV or have no time for it? Do tell!

I like to watch:
Ugly Betty
Home and Away
20 to 1
The Simpsons (I can't help but love them)
Desperate Housewives - it's on too late for me so I buy the box set at the end of the series. I am going to close my eyes if any one discusses last nights show haha
Better Homes and Gardens - for the home/garden decorator in me
How I Met Your Mother - this show is so funny it's the highlight of my TV week

I really only watch Grey's Anatomy. I don't know why, I don't even like it that much, but I have to watch it every single Sunday. That's all I watch, though. I'm not really a TV kinda gal.

For me the regulars are Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Studio 60 (awesome), Heroes and The Simpsons (yes, still). We're TV geeks and are "borrowing" them from the US current seasons, so a bit ahead of the game he he :typingb:

Don't mind Prison Break but the second season isn't really grabbing me. My guilty admission is The Biggest Loser, which I somehow get addicted to every year, and I'll probably watch Big Brother when it comes back on. Dreadful shows but I can't help myself.

Old favourites are Buffy, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, SATC and The West Wing.

I have a secret scary obsession. I have every Episode of Dawsons Creek on video and I can spend hours in my apartment on my own, watching them, and wishing I was Joey Potter
Apart from that the only TV i really get into is How I met ur mother. I just think its a crack up.

My family just got me Austar (or Foxtel as most of you would probably know it) to keep me entertained during my recovery. I am totally obsessed with it and don't mind admitting that for now I am quite happy being a couch potatoe! I get up in the morning have my shower and then back into bed for a day of viewing! As I lost 10kg in a week I am not worried about gaining weight. I am actually under doctors orders to do this....... I love it!

You people would be hysterical if I were to tell you some of the crap I have been watching!

Ok you asked for it! Don't say I didn't warn you!!

Sorry if some of the spelling is incorrect (i'm not that obsessed yet that I know the shows off by heart).

1. There isn't much I don't know about Anna-Nicole Smith and her death. I have watched hours of this stuff! Lol

2. There's this show called Maurie Povich (kind of like rikki lake but worse) I have seen women trying to find the fathers of their babies and they have DNA tested over 10 people and still can't find the dad. I have seen an 80 year old woman confess she is sleeping with her 20 year old grandaughters boyfriend and I have seen a guy who believes he is a woman except with the wrong parts. Need I say more.

3. I am really enjoying Girls of the Playboy mansion (how dumb are those women?).

4. Bam's unholy union. I don't even know why this Bam guy is famous but he is and he's mega rich and getting married. I secretly think he has ADD and is a six year old on red cordial in a man's body.

5. Flavour of Love - OMG this is hysterical! This favour Flave guy has all these women he's narrowing down to just one. You have to watch it for the costumes. He wears clocks as necklaces and he is so dog ugly man!

Has anyone watched Janice Dikensen's Modelling Agency or The Agency? I think these shows are an absolute disgrace (although I can't help but have a peak at them).

I can not believe how incrediby rude and irresponsible these types of people are. It's little wonder the world is in the midst of an eating disorder epedemic when we have these types of shows telling everyone they are too fat, short, don't have the right look, have ugly heads and chunky legs. I ask you what has happened to diplomacy?

I think there are kinder ways to tell people that they are not what the agency is looking for at this point in time but to tell these young people they are too fat or ugly etc in just plain wrong.

It makes me really sad that there are industries in this world that are more caught up in aesthetics than the real issues like children starving in other parts of the world or babies being orphaned by AIDS.

I think these modelling agency people on these shows are the types of people who are truely UGLY in every sense of the word!

Well said PCC. Have never watched it but it sounds appalling. It's like the characters on Ugly Betty too - they are all tall and gorgeous but so mean and nasty and have nothing nice to say. Oh and they never smile. Which makes a character like Betty even more adorable and someone who you would want to be your friend.

PCC I've watched both those shows. Janice Dickinson is a BEAST. Ugh there is nothing remotely attractive about her. She's a pig both in looks and in personality. The Agency is a stupid show too!! Becky is a beast as well and basically all the people on that show are stupidheads.

Ok which Home and Away fans are breathing a sigh of relief???????

I dont classify myself as a 'fan' as such but country TV doesn't offer much at 7.00pm. Anywho ....its about bluddy time Kelli got found out about her coniving antics - this was dragged out way too long - I'm tired of seeing Amanda fake cry.

I thought the first episode was great - really original material and interesting characters - I actually really cared about what would happen to these people!!

I watched it! I thought it was okay. Not hugely gripping. I found it very frustrating - my mother is quite a feminist so I tend to have a slight feminist approach to life and the idea of these women sharing their husband makes me a bit cross, lol. I know it isn't real life but it still makes me a bit mad. I think I'll stick to Grey's Anatomy lol.

I also love "Bridezillas" and "Whose Wedding?". I think the first season of Bridezillas is the best though - I loved Karen and Cynthia, and they were positively charming compared to those nightmares from the second season!! The two worst in my opinion were Regina, the one who got married in a castle, and Julia, the "black princess" from Queens. UGH if I had to spend one minute married to those people, I'd shoot myself!

Oh oh oh and how about the girl (can't remember her name) who had a fight in the car with her fiance the night before the wedding and nearly called it off! He was crying and she told him "I'm not sure if you're worth all this". She was the same one who cracked the sh its at a woman in a shop for touching her engagement ring. What a beast from the depths of hell!

She was awful. Not just in an "oh she's annoying but so funny to watch!" way but she was really a horrid person. I pity her poor husband, I can't believe he cried and begged her to love him!! Newsflash: If you need to beg someone to love you, you probably shouldn't be marrying them!

A lot of people love Boston Legal. I don't mind watching it occasionally, but it reminds me so much of Ally McBeal and The Practice. I think they're all David E Kelley productions but the scenarios they get into are so similar!

Ah yes, the micro mini at the office - :chuckle: and the blow up man

I was going to bed last night, but then hubby switched channels, and there's a woman running around in a wedding dress, covered in blood, hollering for a lawyer - that got me. Had to know. Then I was going to bed after the first episode, and a guy threatened to blow up Willam Shatner - so of course I stayed....... :ashamed:

Me too, I always feel like such a derro because I have the TV on constantly when I'm at home. I hate (I mean hate) silence and I switch it on as soon as I get up and leave it on throughout the day. Even though I'm not watching it, I like the noise! I even leave it on when i leave the house so I come home to some noise. I hate that I'm so TV-dependent because I've always been one of those "too much TV is bad for you" people but I go mad in the house if I'm alone in silence for even a few minutes. And the radio just doesn't do it for me!!

I know, Nicki looked great!! I actually got teary when I saw her. I like her too, despite her shortcomings. I think that's part of the appeal of the show - I actually feel something for these characters, and I can feel the love that they have for each other.

I too have thought about "getting hold" of the next season - but then I sort of enjoy the Sunday night ritual, and the anticipation of next week's episode!

I think (no offence intended!!) that for anyone who hasn't been able to get into Big Love, if you're the kind of person who loves Greys Anatomy, then Big Love probably isn't for you!! it seems like Greys viewers and BL viewers don't see eye to eye!! :chuckle: It's sort of one of those "omg it's so brilliant and I love it" or "yeah I really don't get the big deal" things. I hate reality tv shows.
It's all about Spicks n Specks, Summer Heights High, The Office and I'm quite enjoying Californication.

I can't get into Californication, my bestie just loves it and she is badly inlove with David Duchovy's character. She stays up to watch it even if her eyes are slowing closing every 20 seconds.

Its a bit rough for me i think.

Has anyone been watching Idol this year? Or is it just me?:redcheeks:

I watch when i remember but i've missed i heaps this year.

I was devastated when Daniel was voted off, he was so smoking hot i couldn't take my eyes off him.

I still think the best Idol was the very first one, i loved them all and it was so exciting, i would never miss a show.

I think i'm kinda over Idol now.

I would just like to say that Jessica Mauboy has grown up very nicely and she fits in well with the Young Divas even though Rick-Lee was my Fave.

Has Kate Deraugo lost weight???, because damn she looks good, so sexy and curvy.

I missed 5 weeks when I was away but now I am right back into it
I used to think Daniel was a bit of alright but the poofy hair kept bothering me - until I realised it reminded me of JOHN STAMOS circa Full House!! And then I couldn't take him seriously at all after that.

Carl's my favourite (the deer in the headlights expression is just adorable) but my money's on Matt to win.

Yeah, I like the Bold as well. I watched Y&R for about a year or so, because we had a TV in our staff room & my lunchbreak was when it was on. But I've never really got back into it. They have too many different storylines per episode, and if you're only interested in one story, you have to wait like half an hour until they come back to it.

I have to admit:redcheeks:I also watch Days of Our Lives. I got into it when I was at uni & during swotvac, there was nothing else to watch at lunchtime. So been taping/watching it ever since. The story lines are so far fetched they are hilarious sometimes.

I also love NCIS, Las Vegas, and lately I've been watching Bionic Woman. Oh and Kath and Kim! I flick over to the 'reality' shows occasionally like Dancing With the Stars, Big Brother & Australian Idol, but I don't become a regular viewer until they near the end. The only one I really watch regularly is Thank God You're Here & I'll be watching The Farmer Wants a Wife. That's pretty much my TV viewing rundown lol! There's probably others I've watched here and there, but can't remember;)

I loved the Flying Doctors! I remember watching it when I was young & loved it when they brought it back on Nine a few months ago. So disappointed - they took it off the air after a few weeks. Now we get a show called Susie at midday (boring!), and the Ellen show at 1pm. Ellen's OK & I watch during lunchtime sometimes.

OK here's the rundown Luisa:

Lorelai - Single mum who got pregnant at 15 and raised Rory on her own. Manages an inn, wants to buy old ramshackle house with her best friend Suki (also the inn's chef) so they can convert it into their own inn.
Rory - her daughter, who is in high school. Very smart and bookish, but witty and popular. Lorelai and Rory are best friends and everyone loves them.
Dean - Rory's boyfriend.
Luke - owns the diner. He and Lorelai have been friends for years and are of course secretly in love with each other, although they date other people.
Emily & Richard - Lorelai's old money parents. She does not get along with them but they pay for Rory's private school and in return, Lorelai and Rory have dinner with them every Friday. They get along much better with Rory than with Lorelai.

There are a myriad of other characters, mostly quirky townspeople, but you should be ok with that!

Hey l-belle, feel free to send GG Season 7 straight to Ozzy when you've finished...happy to share the Gilmore goodness around!

Ok - will do.

In other news, when I was getting Entourage for the boy the other day, THEY HAVE DEGRASSI ON DVD. All over them, even "School's Out!"

Thanks for that RBB!!

What's with boys and Entourage? It must be a fulfillment of fantasy thing, like SATC for us?!

I dunno - I bought him the first Season for Xmas, He'd seen a few eps and I used to watch it on Foxtel, and he loved it - after he watched the first few episodes, he sms'ed me telling me how much he loved it and thanks for getting it and if I was there right now he would hug me for 12 minutes. A bit cute.

It is good though!

I totally love that Lorelai's dog is called Paul Anka. I love animals with full (first and last) human names!

Same! I think I've mentioned before that one of our friends' next door neighbour has a dog called Jaime Fletcher. Our friend is always saying "Oh, Jaime Fletcher was around yesterday," never fails to crack me up. Jaime and the other dog, Penny, bark and then trot off under the fence and over the hill for adventures. Also, their donkey is called Angela :chuckle:

Degrassi, that is exciting! Oh, the memories - Snake, the twins, all the gang and their teen angst. I loved School's Out, though some parts were quite sad! Must buy, must buy.
