What's in your bathroom cabnet or bathroom for that matter, do you have a lot of products taking up a lot of space or are you like me a few great products you can't live without... and still plenty of space on the shelves...

Share with our forum friends... we are all curious :fish:

p.s why I ask I've just had an over haul as of late, It felt great! In the small space I have...

OMG I have way too many products in my bathroom and bedroom. I have a million different shampoos and conditioners (I want sleek and shiny hair one day, volume the next day, intensive conditioning the next day, curls the next day - doesn't everyone?), many different shower gels and lotions, assorted impulse buys, thousands of sunscreens...you know how it is!! I keep meaning to go through it all and rationalise but it's so hard....

I stick with a few tried and trusted products as i have limited space issues also

If i do try something new i try to get a few product reviews first or ask around friends.

With a count of 43 items just in my shower/bath area (see "What's in your shower?" thread!), I am not even going to attempt answering this one. Products are stored in bathroom, linen cupboard, bedroom, spare bedroom and laundry. Need I say more? Lol!

Whoa! this is like a stocktake & who has time for that?

I have 2 generous cabinets in my bathroom. One for everyday use & the other mostly for stockpile items.
I recently cleaned mine out too & it was great to find lost stuff & throw old stuff making room for new stuff which was very quickly replenished!

Alice where is your list girl?

I have way too many I'm not going to even attempt to list, but I also cannot throw anything out unless it's gone off. I feel so guilty about wasting money. We are moving around the end of May/early June so I'm slowing working my way through all the half used stuff to give me more room (and less to pack!).

I have very limited space and am also a scrimper at heart so I try to never have two of the same product in different brands.
If I hear about a shampoo that I'd like, I'll wait a month or so until I've finished my previous one to buy it. I only have one of everything so each time I need a new mascara or something I'll do a lot of research and decide which one to try.

"Space on the shelves" -aaaahahahahahaha that's just crazy talk :chuckle:

Put it this way: I've already made one trip to Ikea to buy a new bathroom cabinet for the bathroom in the new house. And I don't think it will be the last ;)

That's a great idea! I try to follow the same methods but it doesn't always work, but my general rule is that I try not to impluse buy. I think it over do the research and think if what I already have works why change unless I've completely finished the tub/tube or bottle...

Me either. There are always too many exciting new goodies out to try. However at the moment I am trying VERY hard not to buy make up etc as I have so much, of all types, and always end up using the same things. Not too creative. So I either need to get more creative and use what I have or keep buying the same stuff.

Oh and I too have too much stuff in the bathroom to list it all!

I need to only have the essentials because I spend a few nights a week away from home. I live out of town and it's a pain to drive in and out so some nights I'll just crash and my boyfriends/ friends/ grandmothers place. I need to be on top of my bath/beauty/hair products so I can grab everything I need, throw it into a bag and be out of my place in 5 minutes. Also I don't want to carry more than one bag and every mascara takes up space! Lol.

Geeze I shouldn't even go here!! I have literally thousands of products. I never seem to finish anything because I find something new and simply move on. I give a lot of things away to relatives and friends and only chuck out things that have gone off.

My bathroom is on the larger side and is completely packed to the hilt with products. My vanity units etc are packed full, my shelves are full and anywhere that resembles a free space has products on it.

I have a very large bedroom and lets just say it resembles a department store more than a bedroom. My study built in wardrobe is packed from floor to ceiling with products and I have started to take over one of the spare rooms as well.

I love my products and they are my one guilty pleasure in life so I don't feel guilty about over indulging myself at all. However shopping trips and Birthdays are a nightmare because I always buy lots of beauty products and there simply is now nowhere to put the darn things.

Know what you mean! No cupboard or drawer space left - stuffing things in boxes now!

I am going to get quite serious about having a cull and getting to all those unused (and forgotten!) items. Will make me feel very virtuous! (for a change!)

Eeek!

My bathroom cabinets are chockers!

I'm planning on cleaning the bathroom tonight, a bit remiss over the weekend so will do it tonight AND am thinking I'll go through and throw out anything that I've not used in 6 months etc etc and hopefully create a bit of space for all the new products I can then buy!

Had a glance last night and I have about 5 bottles of suncream that I can't use as I'm allergic to them - so will palm them off to the family.

Various shampoos, but I keep these in case I run out of my normal one and need something to tide me over. Just might get rid of the almost empty ones.

Veet in shower hair removal cream - also allergic, gee mum is going to score big time! :p

Soooo many nailpolishes in various shades of red and pink... some are so old they have all gone hard changed colour.

A few different makeup bags from the good 'ol GWP at Clinique etc etc (but these are good for keeping makeup in that I don't use regularly I spose)

Geez! I REALLY do need to clean it all out - am sure I'll feel quite liberated once I've done it! :whipcrack:

I really need to clean out my bathroom cupboards.. but I know what will happen; I'll make a pile of the stuff I don't use, and moments before piffing them or giving them away, I'll get all sentimental and put them all in one of my many empty makeup/toiletry bags, and put them back in the cupboard, telling myself that if I don't use them in a months time, then I'll throw them out. Blinkin' hopeless :redcheeks: .

I have so many little makeup bags from GWP, I really should throw them all out but I can't bear to! Having said that, I've got one that is a perfect size and is my everyday makeup bag.

Actually that reminds me, I have a set of three makeup bags from Madison magazine that have a big "Madison" written across the front of them.....my friend just had a baby girl called Madison, I'll give them to her for, uhh, baby stuff!

OK I was just forced to clean out my bathroom cabinet as I couldn't fit in my new beauty expo purchases :redcheeks:
Discovered I have waaaay too many Body creams.

Here's what got evicted & is going to a new home.
Natural Instinct Cream Facial Cleanser
NS Moisturising Cleanser - I'm fussy on my cleansers & these didn't cut it.
Beauty & Bees Apple Cider conditioning rinse - can't stand the smell. :vomit: Like vinegar.
Natural Instinct 1ltr Hand Wash - emptied into pump dispenser.
Blistex Lip Conditioner - contains mineral oil. Replaced by Shizen's Salve.
Golden Glow Cucumber & Melon body lotion - I don't want to smell like a cucumber.
L'Oreal Refinish Microdermabrasion kit - too harsh for me going into Boy's travel bag.
Maybelline 8 colour eyeshadow palette, Neutrals. Unopened - put away for xmas for Miss 14.
Pantene Wave Creating Milk - meh.
DJs Tuberose Shimmer Body Lotion. Unopened - contains Mineral Oil.
Johnson's Baby powder - only use for waxing, I'd rather use my vanilla scented powder.

I have lots of stuff that belongs in the bathroom, however most of it's in my bedroom...

Off the top of my head, i have some facial scrubs (AVON), masks (random brands) and cleansers (AVON again) in the cabinet, and more shampoo (Lush, Garnier), shower gel (Lush), moisturiser (Clinique), a facial scrub (Lush), and soaps (more Lush) in the bottom cabinet :redcheeks:
