Long time lurker - first time poster.

I recently had a skin consult at as Skin Clinic here in Sydney that uses the Ultraceuticals range. The consultant deterred me from microdermabraison as I have fine broken capilleries on my cheeks which cause redness very easily depending on a number of factors - environment, weather etc etc. I have mild congestion in my tzone and normal/dry skin that is sensitive and fragile.

She trialled the EvenTone serum on me and I found it just made my skin feel rough and masked in product and wasn't great at all. That said I am still interested in using a similar product short term to aid in clearing congestion and making my skin tone more even.

I've been looking into the Alpha H products on Adore Beauty and wondering what you guys think might be the best solution? Would you suggest the Liquid Harmony?

I understand your concerns and your hesitation but Alpha H as a range is definitely worth trying.

I understand that Liquid Harmony still has a small amount of glycolic acid and would be perfect for your congested areas and for generally refining the skin (also contains soothing ingredients). The pack that would give you a great (and soothing) selection of products is the Delicate pack.

A well loved range for the outstanding results that it produces. Worth adding to the range with more specific products (like the gentle Microcleanse and masks) too. Do be sure to let us know how you go.

I've had an enormous amount of trouble with adult acne since reaching my mid 30's and despite seeing 2 Dermatologists for the last 5 years, the only thing that really has helped has been Alpha H. I'm still getting monthly hormone bumps but otherwise good but have recently started on medication for that. I had a course of 5 microdermabrasion sessions last year which made it worse, if anything :tears: I was at my wits end when I tried the Alpha H and I noticed an improvement after the first month and I love it.

Alpha - H really is fantastic! Thinking about switching back when i finish my current batch of Ultraceuticals as im not really seeing any further results.

Alpha H is seriously effective skin care, glad it has been of so much benefit to you. Michelle Doherty from Alpha H is a past severe acne sufferer so I am not surprised it has been of help.

I love Alpha H - although I don't have acne prone skin I think the line is wonderful. I would get one of the starter kits and see how you go with that. My favourite 2 Alpha-H Products are Liquid Gold and Microcleanse.

Thanks gals for all your advice. I've started using the Mario Badescu range instead and *touch wood* I'm having great results so far. Have kept note of the Alpha-H to try if MB doesn't work out.

Mario Badescu range devotee here! Love it! However don't count out the Alpha-H range I use both and alternate betwen the two ranges. This way I don't get bored and neither does my skin!

I'm using the enzyme revitalising mask approx 1-2 times per week. The Glycolic Acid Toner every other night after cleansing and the Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion to cleanse in the mornings.

ElegantL, may I ask which A'Kin products you use? What are your opinions? I've always wanted to try something of theirs.
