I am impulsive, yes indeed. A week was as long as I could wait from the point where the initial thought jumped into my hot little head.

I have gone the chop.

It’s not the first time. There was the time where the stylist removed my long locks leaving me with the most flat boring bob after I had described the sassy slant bob I desired, (no slant in sight).

This time was different. James my gorgeous stylist came in to work early to placate my impulsiveness because I had to have it done NOW! (he understands, bless him). After pouring over pictures together the deed was finally done. An outpouring of praise was received later that night.

It’s working for me. Yes I am utterly crap at styling and I impulsively trimmed my own fringe last week (it’s crooked now). So I am off to James for some styling advice and some straightening up. But I am finally wearing that slant bob with pride!

I like it when people 'come out' and admit they give their fringe a little trim....makes me feel so normal :hugs: & admit they can't style too . It must be great when you have an understanding stylist.

I did the angle bob too!! My stylist, like yours, first cut it into a flat bob and it sooooo wasn't slanty enough, so I had to go back and demand muuuuch shorter at the back. Voila! I have a pob (a posh spice bob - a POB!).

James was fine yesterday (in light of my crooken handiwork). I now have a straight fringe and some more wispy bits for easy styling!

Bless him, he preened and styled away at no cost as he knew I had an acting audition to head to afterward!

Bubbles I loooooove my short hair. Every few years or so I grow it to just below shoulder-length and then I always end up chopping it off again. I just find that shorter hair is different and memorable, not to mention a lot easier to care for and style.

I used to have waist-length hair and while it was wavy and romantic, I felt so great when I cut it off, so chic and modern. In much of Europe, short hair is considered just as sexy and beautiful as long hair, I wish we could be a bit more like that here!! As lovely as long tumbling curls are, I do get a bit tired of seeing the same length hair everywhere.

I love a good shortie, particularly on elfin faces and brushed up against high cheekbones. I think short cuts can be just as feminine as long hair.

I did the chop a few years back - from very long to very short - and it was so liberating. I had put a lot of thought into it and was very happy with the result. My hairdresser is very sensible and tried to talk me out of it but I was adamant!

Hair quite long again now but I'd have no hesitation in lopping it all off again, just for fun. Hey, it'll grow back!

I had really short hair for most of my 20s & loved it except the bit where I had to get it cut every 4 weeks. One thing was glaringly obvious though. Guys love long girly hair. Every guy I knew was absolutely horrified when I cut my very long hair off. Most of all my father. But then I meant my boy when I had short hair. He often asks me if I am going to cut it all off again. He loves both. :p

That's true Medusa, but there is the odd guy who actually prefers short hair. I think I have to give credit where credit is due though - when I first cut my hair all off when I was 18, the opinion of most of the guys was "I like long hair but I will admit that short hair suits you better". They can see SOME sense!

It used to annoy me though when guys would say that I should wear my long hair out and wavy more, and I'd just think "do you KNOW what it takes to make it look like that?! Do you have ANY IDEA?!!!".
