I know there are a lot of M.A.C devotees here on the forum so thought I wouls create a thread. What M.A.C products do you like?

Has anyone tried the new M.A.C spray on Foundation or the new spray on blush yet? I am definitely going to buy the both of these if shades permit.

I have just used their eyeshadows. Many imitators out there, but the MAC ones have such dense colour pigment and blend beautifully.

Hell yeah! The pigments are very intense aren't they. I will have to send you some samples of the pigments I have (there's no way I will ever get through them). They are very intense but stay put all day without smudging or creasing.

I used to use the Studio Tech foundation. Was great for a night out when you want perfect ocoverage. I also use their eye pencil in navy blue....it goes on like a dream. Their pencil sharpener is good, and the brush cleaner works a dream.

I'm a fan of MAC. I have a few eyeshadows, the Select Cover concealer (love this), a beautiful 'cream colour base' in shimmery gold (used as a shadow and a highlighter), a pink blush, clear lipglass and lipsticks in Viva Glam V and Hot Tahiti (the HG red I've been searching for). Have a few brushes too.

I haven't tried their bases but apparently the Face & Body Foundation is great.

Next on my list is the Strobe Cream and some pigments.

I like MAC foundations, have tried a few of them:
- Hyper Real - sheer with a bit of iridescent shimmer
- Studio Tech - cream compact, great for a "flawless" look or for photos
- Studio Fix - compact powder, good on its own for a light coverage or over a foundation.
- Select Tint - basically like a tinted moisturiser, sheer coverage

I also like their bronzer in "Golden". Have a couple of eyeshadows but eh, they don't really light my fire.

my one and onlt MAC product is the Hypre Real foundation, its very sheer & irredescent but it feels amazing and is easy to apply. Whenever i need a little more coverage i'll just dab a strong foundation where needed and blend.

I've been using a MAC Sheer Blush in Shy Angel... it's quite a pale pink and has more shimmer to it than anything - kinda like a gleamer.

I've been alternating between using this and my Napolean Gleamer... can't decide if one is better than the other!

I am loving my Bronzing powder though, in Golden. Gives me a natural healthy glow without all the sparkle.

Hey PCC, you need to tell us how the launch went in Hobart! Dying to hear!

Miss Luisa it hasn't been launched yet. They are a bit behind schedule but hopefully some time next week. I almost got thrown out of the store yesterday morning as they have a huge section of the cosmetics department blocked off and covered up with a big black plastic tent so no one can see what's going on! Of course I was convinced they might have stock set up in there so decided to take a peak! I was then aprehended by a tradesman and told I had breached their safety regulations by entering:redcheeks:!! Oooops oh well what a girl will do in the name of makeup!:ashamed:

A lot has appened since the forum went down. On Thursday night I went to the M.A.C Launch at Myer Hobart. Trust me when I say that M.A.C is the biggest thing to happen in Hobart beauty wise in a very long time!

I arrived at the launch to find security guards everywhere at the entrance of Myer. Basically if your name was not on the door you could not get in. I couldn't imagine why on earth they would need that much security in Hobart! In total there was probably no more than fifty people there but I ask you to visualise 50 people crowded around a very small space that is the M.A.C counter. Most of the people invited were industry professionals. politicians and media personalities from around Tassie.

Upon entry we were greeted by the makeup artists who had come from Melbourne and Sydney as well as the national manager for M.A.C Australia etc. Once inside there were a couple of very hot male models who we were asked to body paint! They had t-shirts painted on with kisses all over the t-shirts and we had to fill in the kisses with a shade of M.A.C liptick of our choice. It's a hard job but someone has to do it:chuckle:!!

There were cocktails, Moet and Chandon, Vodka cruisers and sparkling water and a seemingly endless supply of gorgeous finger food including sushi and assorted savouries. There was also tiny little desserts including little chocolate truffles and biscuits shaped as lips! A dj played dance music which echoed throughout the store.

After half an hour or so it was time to get down to business and it was time for me to get my makeup done whilst everyone else watched:redcheeks: The makeup artists told me not to be alarmed but they wanted to go way out with my first look for the evening. Well my first look could best be described as drag queen of the decade. Imagine bright yellow shadow and blue lipstick and seriously big fake lashes!:shockedhair:This was all happening whilst photographers were in my face snapping away!:redcheeks:

My next look was far less dramatic and I was given smokey eyes and nude lips. I felt much more comfortable with this look eventhough I still thought it was a little over the top.

I must say it was rather embarrassing having people stare at me and when the photographer started snapping away at me I really felt like punching him and teeling him to go away! However all the embarrassment was worthwhile when I got my gift voucher which = free products. I did have to add some money to my selection but I got about 6 things free with my gift voucher.

Here is list of what I got from M.A.C:

Shadestick in Gentle Lentil

Fluidline Gel Liner Pots in Blacktrack (black) and non comformist (dark blue)

Paint Pots shadows in greenstroke (mint green) and constructavist (dark brown)

Mineralise shadow in Lovestroke (plum with gold veining)

Cremeblush in Lilicent (warm apricot)

Sheertone Blush in Breath of plum (warm rich plum)

eye shadows in Flashtrack (navy blue), Filament (beige shimmer), Purple Haze (purple) and Zonk Bleu (light green colour)

Technakohl Liner in Jadeway (dark green) and Purple Dash (rich Plum)

M.A.C Lip conditoner

Eye makeup remover

Wipes

Fix it + - makeup setting spray

It was a great night and I am just loving all my new products!

The Plush Glass is good. It has a peppermint taste and tingles ever so slightly.

Girls, I am a Psychologist, my partner is a Surgeon and my family look after me very well. You have to remember that whilst it may seem I have the ideal life I have had a very big struggle with a life threatening illness which almost claimed my life. I guess being a wee bit spoilt is the compensation I get for having gone through so much. However If I had the choice I would happily give all my material posesssions back just to have good health.

You would be right, Oz! That is often my eye of choice when I'm heading out - I have green eyes like a cat and it makes them POP! Not sure about Napoleon shades, not much of a fan of his cosmetics. I'd love to try out a dark purple/burgundy eyeshadow on my green eyes. I think it would look rockin' on a black-lined eye for a big night out! Alas, no M.A.C. counter here where I live! Are there any comparable shades in Napoleon or any of the other counters?

I also do a dark purple eye with a light shade in shimmer over the top which gives me the ideal shade. Its just not the same when i don't use black eyeliner, it really sets it off. I have blue eyes and i love this look for a night out or if i want towear it to work i'll wear all black clothes and then the purple eyes, this stop it from being OTT or mutten dressed as lamb.

Mineralize Foundation - This is my newest foundation. It is liquid mineral makeup and I must say is my very favourite foundation to date. This foundation provides a low to medium coverage and is buildable when layered. It has a very smooth satin finish and feels like velvet on my skin. It also contains a bit of sun protection but you would still need a braod spectrum sunscreen underneith. My skin glows when I use this and I find I don't have to use a powder or anything over the top. It is recommended this foundation be applied with a foundation brush but I still prefer my sponge wedge. So if you like a smooth dewy finish this may be the one for you. I have this one in the lightest shade NC20.

Select Tint - This is a moisturising water based tint that hardly fels like you are wearing anything. It contains a bit of sun protection and is weightless. This is an oil free product. Eventhough I don't need much foundation I don't find this one works for me as it feels strange that I actually cant see or feel it on my skin (it kind of defeats the purpose of putting it on to me). It has a super sheer coverage. I have this is NC 20.

Studio Stick- This is a stick foundation. It provides medium to full coverage and has quite a thick texture. I actually don't need as much coverage as this provides so I use this as a concealer if I have a spot I want to cover. This covers blemishes extremely well and can be applied with the fingers or a foundation brush. You have to be careful not to be too heavy handed with this one to avoid the caked on effect. Again I have this in NC 20.

Studio Fix - This comes in a presed powder format in a black compact. It can be used alone or over the top of liquid foundation to set. I apply this with a brush to give the lightest coverage possible. It can also be applied using a sponge. It has a velvet matte texture. This is very good at limiting shine. I have this one in NC20 (surprise surprise).

Irridescent/ Pressed Powder - This is a shimmery highlighting powder that gives the skin a very subtle sheen and shimmer. I use this on my cheeks after blush especially if my blush appears a little too strong. It tones the colour down and highlights at the same time. This would be really good for any highlighting novices amongst us. I have this one in Delicacy.

Blot - This is a sheer weightless practically transparent blotting powder which is absolutely fantastic for touching up shiny patches during the day. It is so light it can be applied many times a day and you still wont get that cakey effect that some powders tend to leave. It soaks up all the oils effortlessly and refreshes shiny complexions.

Select Cover Up Concealer - This is a liquid concealer that comes in a tube. It blends very well and covers dark circles and bemishes easily. This is quite a runny texture so you only need a tiny bit. The only fault I have with this concealer is if I get a bit hot it does tend to run a tiny bit under my eyes. This can be applied with a brush, sponge or fingers. I prefer to use fingers. NC 20 again for me with this one.

Studio Finish Concealer - This is a heavy Duty opaque concealer. It has quite a thick matte texture and is a little too dry to use under my eyes. It is highly effective at covering blemishes though and I would definitely call this industrial strength. I find it's better to apply this one with a concealer brush as this allows you to get an even application and blend easier. I also have this one in NC 20.

Powder Blush - The M.A.C Powder Blushes I have are all sheer tone meaning they have a wash of transparent colour. The powder blushes blend beautifully and give a soft even finish. I use a very large brush to apply these as it gives a more even look than a smaller brush does. I have these powder blushes in Breath of Plum (a soft plum colour), Pink Swoon (a light pink) and Blush Baby (a light peach).

Blush Creme - These go close to being my all time favourite cream blushes. They stick well to the skin and give such a dewy beautiful colour to the cheeks. They seems to make my cheek bones pop with just the right amount of colour. I have these in Sweet William (a medium toned rosey pink with pearl finish) and Lilicent (a terracotta apricot dewy colour).

Cream Colour Base - These can be used anywhere you want and are known as a multi-purpose product. I use these as a highlighter anywhere I want to draw attention to. They are a light texture that blends ever so easily into the skin. I have these in Shell (a champagne colour) and Pearl (a cream frost colour). I mainly use these on my cheeks and brow bones. I also like to add just a smidge to my bottom lip over gloss for extra effect.

M.A.C Prep and Prime - This is a silicone based foundation primer and feels like silk on the skin. It absorbes quite quickly and is said to calm and sooth the skin at the same time. It is quite nice and It seems to give my foundation staying power throughout the day.

M.A.C Prep and Prime Eye - This is a primer especially for the lids. It is very light textured and easy to apply. It neautralises lid colour and makes an excellent pre-shadow base. It gives my shadows super long wearing power. I use this in conjunction with Benefit's Lemon Aid.

M.A.C Prep and Prime Lash - This is a white primer for lashes. It is certainly the best lash primer I have ever used. It conditons and thickens the lashes and makes my lashes a lot fatter than they are naturally. It is only $25 for a very generous tube!

Powder Eye Shadows - I think most people here on the forum know how fabulous the M.A.C powder shadows are. They come in the most amazing finishes and have a wide variety of textures and colours to choose from. They are easily blendable with intense pigment. These shadows are $32 each and once you buy one you will be hooked (be warned). Here are just some of the colours I have:

Retrospeck - A light golden champagne shimmer with a lustre finish.

Llama - A velvet nude colour (I use as a base colour) with a veluxe matte like finish.

Filament - A very light beige shimmer in a lustre finish.

Flashtrack - A navy blue shimmer with a veluxe peral finish.

Suptuous Olive - An olive green shimmer with a veluxe pearl finish.

Greensmoke - A deep khaki green shimmer with a lustre finish.

Trax - A deep plum burgundy shimmer with a velvet finish.

Tempting - A dark brown shimmer with a lustre finish.

Swimming - A sea green colour with a lustre finish.

Idol Eyes - A medium violet colour with a lustre finish.

Blackberry - A darkish purple/plum with a matte finish.

Orb - A light beige with a satin finish.

Woodwinked - A medium brown shimmer with a veluxe pearl shimmer.

Quarry - Soft brown colour with a matte finish.

Mineralize Shadows - These shadows are bakes with at least three colours in each shade. The colours are usually all swirly with different colour veining. These shadows have the added benefit of containing minerals and depending on how much or little you apply you can create a variety of different looks and colours with these. The give a super shimmery finish and are currently my favourite eyshadows. It also says they can be used anywhere on the body but I just use them on my eyes. They give an intense reflective shimmer. The shades I have are:

By Jupiter - Which is dark brown with gold and beige veining.

Ether - Green with black , blue and gold veining.

Lovestone - Deep burgundy with gold and plum veining.

Paint Pots - These are seriously intense highly pigmented pots of cream shadow. They are seriously heavy duty and not much except some serious eye makeup remover is going to bring these babies off. They last all day and look as fresh in the evening as they did in the morning when you applied them. I have paint pots in:

Constructavist - A rich dark brown/bronze colour.

Greenstroke - A pale green minty colour.

Painterly - A natural light brown bige colour.

Moss Scape - A mossy dark green colour.

Fresco Rose - A pale frosty pink colour.

Rubenesque - A golden peachy colour.

Paint Tubes - These are the famous little tubes of colour. They are very much the same as the paint pots in consistency and texture but come in a tube as opposed to a pot. My favourite is:

Bamboom - A dark frosty brown.

Pigments - The M.A.C Pigments are seriously pigmented little pots of powder with seriously intense staying power. I have pigemnts in a few colours but my favourites are:

Rushmetal: a deep shimmery bronze colour.

Cocomotion - A medium to dark brown shimmer.

Shadesticks: The shadesticks can be used as a liner or a shadow. They are thick chubby mechanical pencils that glide onto the skin. They make beautiful shadows and have a frost shine. My favourites are:

Fresh Cement - A light golden brown shimmer ideal for highlighting.

Gentle Lentil - A rich dark brown.

Royal Hue - A deep dark purple plum colour.

Silver Bleu - A blue/ lilac colour.

Technakohl Liners - Are a normal sized mechanical pencil liner. They have beautiful creamy texture and are smudge proof. I have the following colours:

Graph Black - The good old faithful black liner.

Powerplum - A rich plum burgundy colour.

Mascaras

M.A.C X Mascara - M.A.C X is on of my all time favourite mascaras. It lengthens and fattens lashes and has a special applicator that doesn't allow lashes to stick together or clump. I use a primer on my lashes first and then apply a couple of coats of M.A.C X and then finish with lashings of my Benefit Bad Gal Mascara. The reason I use the two mascaras is that the M.A.C X keeps the lashes seperated and thickens and the Benefit on it's own does tend to clump a little. I have M.A.C X in both available shades Black and Dark Brown.

Fluidline Eye Liner - Attention those people who are hopeless with liquid eye liner! M.A.C Fluidline is for you. It is so easy to use I would go as far as saying it is idiot proof. The Fluidline liner comes in little pots and is a gel texture. You apply it with an angled brush. The liner sets and you can rest asured that it is not going to budge until you take it off with eye makeup remover. I have a few of the Fluidliner pots in Blacktrack (black), Non Conformist (deep purple plum) and Iris Eyes (metallic lilac).

Liquid Last Liner - These liquid liners come in the most amazing range of colours. They come in little tubes very similar to the lip glass but a lot smaller. I got a couple on wednesday after my makeover in Point Black (black) and Power Plum (deep dark plum). The only problem I have with these is that they are extremely hard to get off. It took me about 6 goes with a heavy duty eye makeup remover to get these to budge. Where I had tested the colours on my hands in the shop I couldn't get the colours off my skin for ages!

Hey LB, jumping in ahead of our MAC guru, but here's my two cents...

The tubes and pots have a similar finish but I think the pots are easier to use; also when they say crease-proof, they really mean it! My 'painterley' colour stayed on all day. All day! Read somewhere they're going to be a permanent line too, which is great. Will hopefully expand the colour base as well.

Over to you for proper reviewing PCC.

The paint pots are amazing! Believe it or not they will not budge. The paint is very much the same but I agree with Raspberry the pots are a lot easier to use than the tubes. The paint pots are huge and will last forever. At this stage the Paint pots are limited edition but they are selling so well they are thinking of making them a permanent part of the M.A.C range. The pots also come in a great collection of colours!

Ozzy, the M.A.C Primer is white but it dries clear. It is also very conditioning and just $25.

I am not a nail polish expert but I think the M.A.C polishes are great. I especially love the colours in the range. They cost $22 each. I have a few different ones I will list my favourites below.

Underlacquer - This is an undercoat you put on prior to your colour. It helps bond the nail colour to your nail. I find using this makes my polish last a lot longer.

Overlacquer - You put this one over the top of your colour. It seriously really helps stop your nail colour from chipping and keeps your polish looking great for longer.

Nail Lacquer - As I mentioned above I realy like the M.A.C polishes. My all time favourite colours at the moment are:

Nocturnelle - Jet Black and looks fab on my toes.

Night Fall - A dark charcoal grey metallic colour.

Dark Angel - A deep dark purple.

Lovin Pink - Bubblegum pink.

The polishes come in three different finishes Frost, Sheer and Cream.

I was highly sceptical about trying skin care from what is predominantly known as a makeup range. I needn't have worried as the M.A.C skin care is fabulous. I'm absolutely hooked on it at the moment. There are only a few products fom the skincare range that I am yet to get. Here's what I have so far:

Cleansers and Makeup Removers

Cremewash - This is amazing. I usually hate foaming cleansers but this one is super rich and it intensely hydrates the skin at the same time. You only need the tiniest little bit (less than a cm) and you rub your wet hands together and it foams up like you would not believe. It removes makeup in a jiffy and this is responsible for finally getting my tiny blackheads out of my chin. I had tried every product imaginable from cleansers to exfoliants to get the little suckers out but they wouldn't budge. Within 2 days of using the cream wash they came to the surface and popped right out. The Cremewash contains Muru Muru butter and caffeine.

Green Gel Cleanser - This is quite nice and like the name says it is a green gel consistency. It contains cucumber extract and algae and is foaming but it really doesn't foam very much. It feels very soothing on the skin and is soap free. I am a bit biased as I love the Cremewash so much but this would be ideal for anyone that didn't want a rich hydrating cleanser.

M.A.C Wipes - The M.AC wipes are great. They cost $28 so are a little on the expensive side for wipes but they are brilliant. The are very large in size (much bigger than your standard wipe) and come in a pack of 48They remove even the most stubborn of eye makeup including waterproof mascara. They also contain vitamin e.

Gently Off Eye and Lip Makeup Remover- I find this similar to Clinique's Take The Day Off Lips, Lids and Lashes. It has the same oil and water consistency and you have to shake the bottle well to mix the two before use. This removes waterproof eye makeup and is very gentle on the skin with ingredients including cuccumber extract. The only negative thing I found with this is that it takes a few goes to get the paint pots and liquid liner off. With other removers I only need one quick sweep to get my eye makeup off. Perhaps this might have something to do with M.A.C being what I call industrial strength makeup!

Pro Eye Makup Remover- This is also said to be gentle on the eyes. It is used by models to get their eye makeup off super quickly. This one also contains cucumber extract. I found this one brought my heavy eye makeup off much better than the Gently Off remover.

Cleanse Off Oil - We all know oils are the new in thing at the moment to remove makeup. I really love the M.A.C Cleanse Off Oil. It contains ingredients including olive fruit, evening primrose, jojoba seed and vitamin E. It is mineral oil free also. This is highly effective at taking all the days makeup off. After use my skin feels so soft and comforted.

Toner

M.A.C Fix + - This is a great refreshing mist or toner. It is very hydrating and contains an assortment of vitamins and minerals. It can also be used to set makeup.

Scrub

M.A.C Microfine Refinisher - I am really loving this scrub at the moment. It contains tiny microfine crystals and really gives a great exfoliation. Anyone that likes to feel the scrub doing it's job will really like this. It is recommended you only use it once or twice a week. If you like really gentle products this one probably wouldn't be for you.

Moisturisers

Oil Control Lotion - This light weight oil free moisturising lotion conatins natural exfoliants and gives the skin a matte effect on application. I find it quite similar to Dermalogica's oil control lotion. I mainly purchased this one for use on my oily t-zone during summer.

Studio Moisture Fix - This has a suncreen factor of spf 15. It is quite rich in texture and absorbes easily into my skin. I only use this on my cheeks when they feel a bit dehydrated.

Strobe Cream - This is what I think is very similar to Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. It contains light reflecting particles to give the skin a pick me up and can be used on its own or under makeup. This has a very rich texture and contains botanicals and a mega dose of green tea. This is quite alright on my cheeks but much to heavy for my oily t-zone. If your skin is quite dry I think this would be perfect for you.

The next on my to purchase list is the Studio Moisture Cream and Studio Moisture Fix - I might see if I can get some samples of this before I take the plunge and buy the full sized product.

Eye Cream

Fast Response Eye Cream - My eyes are quite sensitive and I have to be really quite careful what eye creams I use otherwise if they don't agree with me my eyes will get quite puffy and then proceed to run all day/night! I am a little sensitive to this one but it is very hydrating and feels cool on application. It contains caffeine and is supposed to de-puff and smooth fine lines (unless of course it doesn't agree with you on which case it may do the opposite).

Lip Balms

M.A.C Lip Conditioners come in a variety of forms including stick, pot or tube or with or without sunscreen and also in a tinted variety.

I have the Lip Conditioner Tube which contains almond oil, shea butter, advacado extract, wheat germ oil and vitamins A and E. This is patroleum based which I tend not to like so much. I have used it a couple of times but found I like my Shizen and Perfect Potion Balms better.

I also recently purchased the tinted lip conditioners in Petting Pink (a beautiful bubblegum pink) and Virtuous Violets (a deep plum). These conditioners feel gorgeous on the lips and hydrate whilst adding a hint of colour at the same time. I love wearing these on their own with no gloss or anything over the top. These are also great to wear when you have heavy eye makeup as they are very subtle.

I have been a fan of the M.A.C Tinted Lip Conditoners for years. A couple of years ago they brought out a range with little cartoon characters on the lids. They were super cute and I bought all of them.

Hi Medusa,
I have just checked the Cremewash ingredients and it doesn't list sls specifically. The Green Gel Cleanser does have it clearly listed though. I would advise you to go in and check out the Cremewash for yourself as it could be hidden under a name I am not familiar with. Must admit the Cremewash is amazing. It's my new favourite cleanser.

The Pro Eye Makeup Remover is designed for sensitive eyes and it feels very soothing as well.

The Blot Pressed Powder is fantastic for eliminating shine and you can't even tell that you have it on.

I will send you a sample of the M.A.C cleansing oil and strobe cream next week. Picking up some little pots tomorrow. That way you can see if it suits you without having to buy the full sized product. I can't use Precleanse, L'occitane Almond Apple or M.A.C Cleansing Oil near my eyes at all. I just don't put it anywhere near my eyes and justuse it on other areas of the face and neck.

The Mineralize Foundation is one of the best foundations I have ever used. I absolutely love it and my skin seems to like it as well.

I have two of the Mineralize Skin Finishes and they are fantastic. I just love them and they are limited edition to. I use them as both bronzer and highlighters.

M.A.C lipsticks are really what started it all for M.A.C Cosmetics. M.A.C lipsticks are available in eight different finishes. These include Amplified, Amplified Creme, Frost, Glaze, Lip Treatment, Lustre, Matte and Satin.

My Top 5 M.A.C Lipsticks

1. Pink Plaid - A dirty dusty pink with a matte finish.

2. Snob - Bubblegum pink with a satin finish.

3. Pervette - Soft plae pink with a glaze finish.

4. High Strung - A silvery pink with a frost finish.

5. Angel - A soft pinky beige colour with a frost finish.

M.A.C Viva Glam Lipsticks

M.A.C Viva Glam Lipsticks are the lipsticks cased with red tubes. There is a selection of these throughout the lipstick range. Every single cent made from the sale of these lipsticks goes directly to the M.A.C AIDS Fund. M.A.C has made so much money for it's AIDS fund from the sale of these lipsticks and this supports people living with AIDS and provides money for essential research into the quest to find a cure.

My Favourite M.A.C Viva Glam Lipsticks:

1.Viva Glam V - A neutral pink with a lustre finish.
2.Viva Glam 11 - A pinky beige with a satin finish.

Lip Palettes

M.A.C have a variety of different limited editon lip palettes that come out each season. I usually get a couple of them every year. I find them irresistable as they are always packaged so beautifully. At the moment they have the Novel Twist Range of palettes out which are super cute. I have two palettes on:

Pink Lips
Plum Lips

Slim Shine Lipsticks

These M.A.C Lipsticks are cased in a long slim line tube and are avaialable in 3 different finishes including Cream, Sparkling Pearl and Metallic. I think these are a cross between a gloss and a lippy.

I have two Slim Shine Lipsticks in:

Long Stem Rose - A baby pink

Bare - A browny pink colour.

Pro Longwear Lustre Lip Colour -

These liquid lip colours are dual ended. One end has the liquid lip colour and the other has the top coat of gloss. The top coat gives amazing shine and helps seal in the colour.

I have Lustrebloom - A pinky brown lustre.

Tinted Lip Glass

I absolutely adore M.A.C Tinted Lipglass. It is one of my favourite ranges of gloss ever. It comes in a huge range of colours and is one of M.A.C's best selling products. I have heaps of these but my favourite two are:

1. Prrrrr - A very light peach

2. Pink Poodle - A very bright fuschia pink

Lustreglass I am obsessed with Lustreglass. All shades have a pearlised glaze and sparkle and refelct light brilliantly. My favourites:

1. Pinkarat - Shiny sparkly bubblegum pink

2. Flashmode - Dark sparkling pink

3. Star Nova - Lilac Sparkle

4. Flusterose - Mid toned sparkly pink

Plush Glass

Plush Glass is the newest addition to the Lipglass family. It is very much the same as Lustreglass with the exception that this one plump lips and has a warm tingle on application. My favourite Plush Glass is:

1. Bountiful - Light Bubblegum Pink (of course).

Clear Lip Glass
This is pretty self explanatory! It's simply a clear tube of lip glass (it's actually the original that started it all) which you can wear alone or over the top of lipstick.

HOLY MAC-AROONY BATMAN!!

You truly are the MAC diva PCC!! ALL HAIL!! :worship::chuckle:

I just adore the Prrr lipglass. Ever since I read about it in the Pairs Hilton Book (no judgement ) I have been addicted!!

I just adore the new Alexander McQueen collection. Very Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra. Cant wait till they come out.

Its been a while since I visited my local MAC counter. We only have one and its all the in the city!! :shakehead:

Oh now we're talking - MAC LIPS BABY! I have never looked back since my first lip glass (it's a hard fought win between my MAC eyeshadows and boot black liquid liner and MAC lip products!)

I'm going to head to MAC next week to get a lip makeover hehe - i want my perfict pinks!!! Those lippies you listed sounded lovely, and I'm especially keen to see the slimshine in long stem rose and the plushglass.

I have/used:

Lipglass

Prrr - nice but a bit too peachy for me.
Underage - a neutral light, light pink and a creamy finish - lovely
Petit Four - it goes on a bit harsh for my skin tone I think, can't pin pick it, but it's such a lovely colour, vibrant and pink and coral undertones I still try and war it LOL

Lipstick

Captive - only one i have - a nice berry, bitten lip look which i can make more intense or more sheer depending on mood.

Laquer

Varneesh - Pinky bronzey peach - I LOVED this - was so sexy with when I do a bronzed look at night - so much so on a big night out i lost it but was so drunk didn't realise til it was too late and I was so upset hehe.

Pro Longwear Lipcolour

I forget the colour, a light pinky lilac type one - i think i'm too impatient for this as soon as anything went near my mouth the finish went a bit grainy.

Lip Pencils

I have Spice and Dervish - I bought Spice after reading so many reviews in magazines etc - i don't tink it quite lived up to the hype colour wise, i prefer dervish or subculture, they are so lovely though! LOVE!

Lip Gelee

I have this in lu be lu (hehe the name helps!) a raspberry that can be more sheer or intense with application - LOVE LOVE LOVE. Did i mention I love this??? ADORE IT, best lip gloss I've ever used.

Lustreglass

Had this in Love Nectar - lovely for someone but a bit glittery for me - a soft nudey pinky peach would describe it best.

What I adore about MAC Lip products is the conditioning it proides, great texture, lovely comforting scent, and the fab range of colours and finishes.

If I could marry MAC i would. I may just propose next week when I go! :hugs:

Yep, their lip stuff rocks huh? Have to say, I have more eyeshadows than lip products, but my faves are:

Lipsticks - Hot Tahiti (reddish coral); Ladybug (red, red, red); Viva Glam V (as per PCC's description) and Pliiiink (gorgeous soft, girly pink - great with a smokey eye).
Lipglass - clear; the original and still the best; and Underage (soft pink).
Plushglass - Palatial (vibrant fuschia pink with shimmer).

So the paints wont budge even on oilier skin??

Dont you love this womans reviews!!!! :hugs: Thanks PCC i will be hitting MAC in a few months and Im trying to get my mental list together :waving:

Oops! I meant lip products, but any thoughts on anything else would be great, like any of the face/prime products.

1. I would start with M.A.C prep and Prime Lips - It really is the best thing you can do to make your lip colour stay put longer. If you don't have a lip base a tiny bit of foundation on yourlips should do the trick.

2. Line lips with a liner. M.A.C lip Pencil In spice is neutral and suits nearly everyone.

3.You can't beat a matte lipstick for staying power. As you are a girl after my own heart I would go for a shade of pink such as Please Me, Feels So Fine or Pink Plaid (all three have matte finishes).

4. Finish With a coat of gloss or M.A.C Pro longwear top coat to give it more staying power.

Ohh, those lipsticks sound right up my alley - just checked them on the MAC site and I think one of them will definitely be a winner!! I have added the prep and prime to my list for this week, as well as a new lipglass, and those three shades to try out - I have Spice already which means I save money there -and will go spend it at the Benefit counter instead hehe - got my eye on the concel kit!

Wooo pink lips *dance of joy*

One last question, which do you prefer the powder eyeshadows or the paint pots when it comes to lasting power, budge proof, crease resistant, etc..

Thanks again! :hugs:

raspberryberet
11-09-2007, 08:49 PM
The paint pots are pretty much crease-proof (in my opinion) and they have excellent staying power. I think they're great for a base/lid colour as they help powder shadow adhere and add a bit of extra depth to it.

The powder shadows are also of great quality and they blend like a dream.

So I guess it depends what you usually wear. The pots are definitely great for a quick swipe n' go, and a look that stays put all day. I have 'painterly', which is a matte nude/beige and I'm also eyeing off 'bare study', a shimmery champagne, and 'rubenesque', a shimmery light peach. They'll last ages too, a little bit goes a long way.

I've never used their foundation or concealers, I did try on my gay roommates MAC foundation (I know LOL) but it was hard to tell becasue the colour was so wrong on me (and him but i restrained myself!!)

I'm tossing up between the Becca concealer, the MAC, or braving and trying Laura Mercier again...

Just in case you didn't know girls remember to keep all your empty M.A.C containers. If you take five empty containers back in to your M.A.C counter you can receive a free lipstick of your choice (excluding the viva glam range as that's for charity). I bought this week... mac x mascara and the mascara primer. The mac x is really nice and I love how it separates my lashes and makes them long! The lady at the counter told me it would be more volumising than the their other mascaras but Im not sure its majorly volumising! Oh wells...I am happy though with it. Im just wondering though with the primer, should I leave it on my lashes till it dries and then mascara? I really really like the primer too!:typing:

Has anyone tried powerpoint and technakohl pencils? which is better when it comes to staying power, smudge proof, doesn't transfer, etc.?

I've tried the fliudline (I have dipdown), although the staying power is brilliant and it's really a "fool proof" gel eyeliner, I found it's time consuming, especially when you're in a hurry and you only have a few minutes to do your make up.

Any recommendations are very much appreciated. :hugs:

Ness - I use the good ol MAC Liquid Liner in Boot Black - LOVE IT! I did get the Liquidlast liner in Black once when they'd sold out ofthe other - it's a bit more lasting (IE doesn't just come off in the shower!) but I don't like the tip as much in terms of applying, the other is better.

I have the powerpoint one in the black shade - it's pretty nice! But I am a liquid liner girlat heart. I used the fluidline as well but it was awkward to apply and the brush was high maintenance.

Serena - I've been thinking about the primer - would you def recommend it??

You're right Loola, fliudlines are brilliant but it's really hard to appy and it's time consuming! (in my opinion)
Overall, do you recommend powerpoint, Loola? Is it really smudge proof?

Thanks! :hugs::kissing:

I've tried a fair few kohl's in my time and it's the best one I've tried for sure! There are a couple of others that apparently are sposed to be good, Chanel has a great one. I always hated the smudging, espeically after a day at work or out at night, and it was definitely minimal to nothing with this.

Ness powerpoint has great staying power. Technakohl is a beautiful soft pencil good for smudging and for use on the waterline, no problems with sensitivity.

Loola I have the primer - it's pretty good, but don't wait to apply your mascara before it dries. Can get a bit hard.

The fact that it does not perform the function that it was intended to do (ie retract) you have every right to take it back as this makes it faulty and not in a proper condition to sell. Can you tell I used to work in retail?:chuckle:

Good! That's what I thought. It's stupid - sometimes it won't come up, and then other times it won't go down! And now, I'm not "special". I don't want a replacement one either. I hope I can find the receipt.
