Hi Ladies,
The other week i wrote about a topical cure for cellulite. This is something I am passionate about and I was a kid in a candy store when, at a recent paramedical conference, I discovered there is an actual treatment to get rid of cellulite!! and it's available in australia. MELBOURNE IN FACT for all you victorians!!
Here's answer!!!
Its a brand new product only recently approved in Australia and under trials in the US.
It's called the Accent 'Fat Baster' the later more of a marketing ploy but an effective one at that.
It uses radio frequency waves which heats the fat cells allowing them to be moved out of the body as waste. In effect it is possible to pee away ur cellulite!! Because of the healing process it initiates it also helps to stimulate fibroblast production (this helps produce collagen and elastin and give amazing non invasive lift to the area!! The treatment is able to replace to tummy tuck and lyposuction!! It will zap your fat and lift ur toosh while it's there! Who would have thought!! Such a revolution!!
And treatments are not entirely out of reach either. I have seen a few clinical trials of this machine and it is simply amazing!! almost too good to be true!
There isnt too much down time. A little pain and erythema (swelling) can be experienced at first as it is after all heating tissue (safely may i add with a cooling head and continuous application of cooling sprays).
Results appear to be seen at approx 2 weeks after the initial treatment but collagen re-modelling can take up to 1 year to fully show its results. So in short things continue to improve after your treatment. A course may be needed but I have seen such awesome results after JUST ONE TREATMENT!! :worship:  :hugs: :yellow: :yellow:

I know what I'll be doing after conference in April ;):sunnies: :glee:

Enjoy!
Please let me know if anyone down there has a treatment. I love to here a personal experience!

Much Love

I gave the clinic a call and the estimate they gave me for both the buttocks and saddle bag region was approx 275-440. I guess it depends on the size and width of the area and the height of the person etc.

THESE PEOPLE DO FREE CONSULTATIONS TOO!! so i'm sure if you were to go in they would be able t give you more precise quote :):clapping:

Hope that helps.

I'm soo getting it done.

:saber: <---- this si the cellulite warrior ;)

website looks amazing.
Be sure to report back to us with progress & results of the treatment.
No doubt one of the current affairs shows will do a story on it & the demand will be huge.

I ust admit, I am very cynical about all the treatments and creams!

No treatments and creams are going tohelp me. I'm a chunky monkey and the medications I have to take don't help matters.

I think I have learned to accept myself finally by the age of almost 30. I can't tell you the torture I put myself through. It was such a shock to be relatively slim and then blow up like a bloon after surgery! I even had to seek counselling about it because I was so revolted by myself and the way I looked.

Now a few years down the track I have adjusted to being a chunky monkey and I am ok with that. I just count my blessings that I am alive! It's always a struggle though especially when people who have no idea what I have been through make stupid comments.

Oh chicky that does not sound silly at all having to get counselling about something like that, i can totally understand. It is so hard to feel okay with the way you look. Some days you feel great and one little thing will happen and bam you hate yourself again.

Thanks Precious Star,
It's nice to know some other people understand. I don't feel sorry for myself but it has just taken quite a bit of adjustment over the last few years to learn to accept who I am and what I look like. I still have some very raw areas that I am trying to work on in order to accept and stop being so hard on myself. My problem is I am quite perfectionistic and my idea of perfection is not attainable for me!

I hear you PCC! I have gained a lot to what I used to be, and I am finally pretty much at peace with it - I still have my days, but we all do.
