Skincare is by far my biggest beauty weakness and I'm always on the hunt for products that make a radical difference. I was wondering if anybody had any favourites that they always go back to because they find anything that gets better results. For me, It's Ultraceuticals EvenSkin Tone Serum, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm and Clarins Cleansers.

The one skincare brand that I always go back to is Dermalogica. I have many affairs with other products in beween but if my skin gets upset or stressed I always go back to my Dermalogica. Here is a list of what I use:

Ultracalming Cleanser for face and eyes - This is so gentle that it is used on the skin of premature babies. It has infusions of essential oils and has a really soothing gel consistency.

Skin Prep Scrub- which is made with natural grains,

Soothing protection spray- toner that calms and gently hydrates.

Active Moist- I use this on my t-zone as I get a bit oily there and it is oil free,

Skin Smoothing cream- I use on my cheeks as they get a bit dry. This is a beautiful medium weight moisturiser.

Dermalogica also have beautiful masks for every skin condition. My favourites are the intensive moisture mask which leaves skin so plump and hydrated and also the skin refining mask whick helps get all the toxins out and clear pores etc.

Almost a bit embarrassed to say... but I think my Creme de la Mer gives me the most noticeable results with my skin. Because of the cost I tend to use this each evening for a week and put aside until I feel I need it again. It is really quite spectacular but probably best suited for normal to dry and mature skins as I still feel skin is moist the next morning. I use the residue on my fingers to tap around my eyes, a trick told to me by the consultant when I baulked at buying the eye cream too!

I believe proper cleansing is the key to great skin and am miffed that I cannot buy the Eve Lom cleanser here anymore (was in DJ's). Have the option to buy direct from Eve Lom UK but the postage really adds to the cost of this already pricy cleanser. Is Adore Beauty considering stocking this line?

I also have La Mer it is such a beautiful cream and I think you really do get what you pay for with this product. It's pricy but so worth it. I also use it and then put it away until my next skin emergency.:p

For me it would have to be Dr.Hauschka Cleansing Cream. Looooove it! Keeps the blackheads on my nose at bay :) I really notice the difference in my skin when I stop using this.

Another one would be the Dermadoctor Wrinkle Revenge eye cream, which makes such a difference that it's pretty much the only eye cream I can be bothered using on a regular basis.

I reckon Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant is really making a difference to my skin. I've been using Dermalogica for a long time but since I introduced this to my routine my skin is noticably smoother, and less breakouts!

I know that this prodduct is a low-end skincare brand but i reallt felt the difference when i started using Natio Skin firming serum. This was the first serum i'd used and it was great especilly under make-up. But it does the job for me.

I've heard good things about that too. I've also heard the Natio Glow brightening balm is good for morning, followed by the serum at night :)

I keep buying Chanel Hydramax Moisture Boost Cream as it hydrates without grease.

And using a serum at night (currently Herbal Recovery Gel) makes my skin soft. I am dehydrated and oily, so I used to skimp on moisturising. But a light serum-type product has helped a lot.

My holy grail skincare product that I CANNOT live without is Mirenesse Night Serum Extreme...

I try everything (total skincare junkie!) - and I'm a huge fan of MD Formulations & Decleor, Guerlain, Freeze 24/7, but the Mirenesse Night Serum Extreme is the best product, especially for the price... it's the one item I keep coming back to... If it was sold in a 44 gallon drum, I'd be a happy camper and would probably slather over my entire body!

I had a sample of La Mer - glad it was a sample - because I really didnt get any WOW factor from it, I've had samples of La Prairie, but again nothing better than Mirenesse Night... Next I want to get some Re Vive just to see if it lives up upto the hype....

You must have a bottle of Rosehip Oil in your kit. It is one of those miracle products.
You can use it as an eye treatment, facial serum, to remedy scars, burns, rashes etc. I have been using it for years & I love it so much I brought all my girlfriends & family one for xmas last year.
It does smell a bit funny but you get used to it quickly. Alternaltively you add a drop or 2 of essential oil suited to your skin type.

Hi Caffeine Addict,
Have you tried the Clinique Moisture Surge gel? I don't normally like Clinique skincare but this product is one of my very favourites. It is like a big glass of water for your skin. You can use it over the top or underneath any other skincare or makeup or even as a mask. It retails at around $60. I love this product:hearts:

Rosehip Oil just makes my skin break-out - and yes, I've tried a few including Trilogy, smells too fishy tho....

Mirenesse Night Serum Extreme:

Well for starters it is great for evening skin tone, making the skin smoother and really luminous. You wake up with really hydrated skin that is not greasy - it is a very light serum, but very effective. If you have a blemish or see a zit coming up, add an extra drop to it and it will disappear if not altogether, a lot faster... It dramatically reduces wrinkles... I'll add more of its benefits as I think about them - I've been using it for so long I almost take it for granted! :D

I first tried it 5 years ago when I made my first order with Adore and Kate included a sample sachet of it.... I've been hooked ever since.... I do have a break from it every now and then because my skin becomes immuned to it, but without fail I always go back to it...

I'm 36 and always get told I dont look it.... On my 34th birthday one of my husbands friends asked how old I was interjecting before I could answer saying I looked 26 - I could have kissed him! Hubby is 3 years younger than me, so people are always a bit confused when I tell them my age anyway! lol

Hubby thinks its hilarious that whenever we go out the 21-25 year old guys spend all night hitting on me - they are gobsmacked when I tell them my age because they all respond with "I dont look any older than 27-28!" - I thank Mirenesse Night Serum Extreme for this, as I've had a hard life and I had a stressful career....

The claim on the product is that using for 1 year will make you look 5 years younger - I believe this to be true and if you see Irene (Mirenesse company owner), she is about my age (I've spoken with her many times), but she really doesnt look it - I dont know if she has had any surgical assistance, but I doubt she has time for it! ;)

I forgot to add that even though it is called Night Serum Extreme - it's not like those silicone filled serums - it has a runny moisturiser consistency, think Guerlain Successlaser Day but a bit runnier...

I have so many skincare prodicts but I have been going back to L'Oreal Pure Zone for years. I have very oily skin and live in a warm climate and the salicylic acid in this keeps my skin nice and clear.

All the products in the Alpha-H oily skin starter kit have done absolute wonders for my combo/breakout prone skin. I will never be without these beauties again. How has it taken so long for me to "discover" these! I especially love the micro-cleanse and the glycolic hydrating and purifying masks. They are the bomb for clearing up your skin :worship:

AHAs are reall good at making a difference. I like Alpha-H Liquid Gold (want to try the White Gold at some stage though) and Neostrata Gel Plus 15 AHA. Also experimenting with apple cider vinegar (Bragg brand- organic) and I think it's made a bit of a difference to scarring and healing of a nasty zit on my chin, even though I've used it for only a few days.

I also like Clarins Beauty Flash Balm- I can really notice the difference when I put it on. I look alive!!

Hi meow, what is this apple cider vinegar you use on your skin? Just normal apple cider? Doesn't it sting??

I love UC gentle cleansing gel. Perfect for those of us who have the confusing combination of oily and sensitive skin.

A few years ago I also used Simplicite Revitilising Night Creme. Simplicite are an organic, Brisbane-based skincare company. For those of you who like organic and natural products, you should try this company. The creme was rich but my sensitive skin lapped it up and it actually lessened break-outs.

Adore staff, have you heard of them? I used to purchase in Myer Bourke Street when I lived in Melbourne but am now in Perth and they are not stocked here. Perhaps something to consider stocking, or looking into for Adore?

Other skincare faves are Clinique Super City Block 30+ and Megan Gale Invisible Zinc.

I forgot to add - Jurlique silk dust is amazing on my skin. No talc and infused with calming calendula and lavender (or rose, depending on which one you buy - this is the only difference) it combats shine like no other powder and does not cause irritation or pimples.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin - this is a gentle yet thorough cleanser (sublime exfoliator, 2 in 1 product)
Clinique Super City Block sheer oil-free daily face protector spf 25, this is anew version of a my of mine, pretty much the only sun portection product that hasn't given my skin any irritation.
Weleda Iris moisture cream - hydrates, balances, perfect under sunscreen. One of the best sustitutes for dr hauschka
Almond Oil (legs, arms, elbows)

dr hauschka skincare - a real pleasure to use. If I had unlimited budget I would consider using the complete range - cleansers, toner, day cream and mask.

Alice, thanks for bumping this up :)

I have some new classics and some old ones I did not know were 'classics' until I stopped using them and started using other, lesser quality products.

Still love Simplicite and the Jurlique dust but some others -

Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentian - one of the few non-foaming milks that caters for oily skin. Plus it smells just beautiful.

Invisible Zinc pale tinted - what can I say? I am confident of wearing this years on end with complete confidence in the condition of my skin.

Dermadoctor Tease Zone oil control gel - nothing works like this one.

Alpha H Age Delay night cream - gentle but full of actives and antioxidants - lovely.

Alpha H Triple Action Cleanser - like the Clarins cleanser - non-foaming, gentle but effective.

L'occitane Almond Apple cleansing oil - one of the few things that can remove my aforementioned IZ!
