Kate recommended this and it is fabulous! I recently bought 'shimmer' on her advice for a bit of light bronze colour + highlight for my ghostly pale Canberra skin. Shimmer is a pale peachy-brown with fine gold particles. Has a lovely soft texture that allows you to dust lightly for hint of colour or layer for more impact. Packaging is pretty and practical, with a large mirror inside the sleek case for quick touch-ups.

All in all, a wonderful product for fair-skinned girls looking for a natural summer flush.

This is my first LM purchase and there will be plenty more to come! :hearts:

Woohoo! Glad you like it :) I find it is the best colour for us pale-skins, it's not too dirty or orangey-looking like a lot of bronzers are. I use it for eyeshadow too when I am feeling lazy :chuckle:

Do you find thats your fav product from LM? I havnt bought anything from this range, but it looks really good, and have been waiting to find the right *magical* product lol I dnt hav that much $ to spend, so like to make sure the product is good before I buy. Or at least recommended...

Oh dear, don't make me choose a single favourite :chuckle:
It would certainly be right up there. I also very much like LM's loose powder, brow powder duos, oil-free foundation, and tinted moisturiser. But I probably use my Shimmer pressed powder the most often out of all of these :)

I keep hearing so many great things about Laura Mercier. I have never tried it before & would like to test the colours. Does anyone know where in NSW it is stocked?

Medusa, check out Myer or David Jones.

Kate, really liking the sound of the shimmer colour in the LM powder. Is it a known as a powder or bronzer? Also, do you believe it to be too sparkly for daytime? I am keen to try a new light coloured bronzer for day time, this one sounds ideal. Would appreciate your comments. Ta

Luisa, I'd consider it to be a bronzer. Definitely not too sparkly for daytime - or at least I hope not, I wear it every day!

Laura Mercier products ROCK big time. Do also checkout her bath range. It is a little expensive but so worth it. I love the little honey mixer thingy that comes with the bubble bath.

:typing: I recenty bought a pressed powder but in translucent for an every day basic. I find I cant seem to use the 'sponge' that comes with it when im out and about, as it picks up too much powder which then looks like flower on my skin... but its great when you apply it with a brush! Keeps my shiny skin at bay for a while, and gives a really silky finish*** Great for setting foundation.

Oh forgot to mention that the silk creme foundation is great too! I do find it a little hard to apply on my nose with a sponge without it looking too streaky, but I think maybe thats because Im not used to using a sponge... It does have a wonderful glowy look after application without looking overly done. Makes your skin look like perfection!!! :encore:

Are LM powders good at keeping oily skin at bay for longer, or are they pretty much the same as normal powders?

Also, what are their non-bronzing shimmer powders like? I don't like bronzer on my pale skin but I do like a bit of flesh-coloured or pinky shimmer - subtle of course!

I have the translucent pressed powder, which keeps shiny skin under control. It doesnt really control sweat, but because its a compact, you can take it with you for touch ups, which should fix extra shine or oilyness you get through the day~

Sapphire the one I was talking about is very light, only a touch of pinky-bronze and shimmer is nice and subtle - I'm super-pale and I need to layer this to get a hint of colour. I think it would work for you....

Just had a look then - seems perfect for me. I noticed in Russh that ysl have a 'radiant matte' pressed powder. Has anyone tried this? How is it radiant?

I would like to know about this one too.

RBB, can I ask your opinion on the difference in the shimmer between the LM one and the Benefit 10 that you just bought? Ta

The LM is very light, very subtle - just a hint. 10 has a good bronze to it but much more shimmer on the 'highlighter' strip. The highlighter is pinkish, kind of like their 'High Beam' liquid highlighter in powder form.

PCC would you agree re: 10?

Hi RBB, I am familiar with the Benefit 10 and know the pink to be quite shimmery (too much for me I am afraid) so wanted to know how this compared to the LM. Trying to get away from too much shimmer!

Sure thing. I think you'd really like the LM then - I prefer more shimmer and I think LM is a bit too subtle for me! Still love it though.
