Can any one plz recommend a good home treatment/cream/gel ect for cellulite?!
I dry brush and even have this great loofah when i can but i fake tan alot too so thats not always practical. I have even tried a cellulite patch (yes i am desparate, no judgment plz) :chuckle: :ashamed: :shakehead:
I try and eat right, walk heaps and drink tons of water but just need a bit of a smooth boost with out forking out the $$$$$ for a course of endermologie.
I used to use the clains bodylift but they replaced it and im always sceptical when a trustworthy brand gets rid of a great product. Like the time Estee Lauder discontiued their bronzing mousse a few years back! Does any one else miss it too??.

Any way the question is cellulite cream: any recommendations?

I personally believe it has more to do with the massage action than the actual cream itself. That said, caffeine and seaweed are supposed to have a mild effect. Had a bit of a search and actually found one of Lisa Bjorksten's SMH articles, fairly current too. Hope it helps!

PS Keep up with the dry brushing!

Thanks Luisa, That article was fantastic. Raises some interesting points.
I have always known it was about circlation but im lazy. Arent we all?? I want the miracle in the bottle!!!:sunnies:
I wish i had a therapist in my bathroon to srcub my tooshy a couple of times a week. On that note if my local salon doesnt do butt facials should i ask for it? I feel a little bashfull but i know a really good scrub would really help.

Lol! Glad you liked it!

What you need is long and deep massage to move that adipose tissue (where cellulite is stored)!! I do believe that the actual massage has more of an effect on cellulite than the myriad of creams available but they do have an effective smoothing and tightening effect.

Another that might be worth trying (and it's cheap in comparison) is the new(ish)Beautician's Secret Body Sculpt.Said to decrease cellulite by 33% in 8 weeks and contains caffeine as well as ginger (for circulation and as a diuretic).

Good luck with whatever you try. Remember to keep us up to date!

Hi There Beauty_Addict,

I agree with all LB has advised, in addition I can recommend the Zeolite range from Eleusian. This body range has been created specifically for cellulite and I am proof that it works.

There is a Body Wash, Exfolliator, Firming Gel and Body Mousse. I don't usually use the Mousse.

( Zeolite is basically igneous rock rich in hydrated silicate minerals of sodium, calcium, barium and potassium.)

Despite being a fitness freak who is quite particular with my diet, I still get some cellulite. It is quiet normal for females despite what we may read.

Dear Beauty Addict,
Here's some interesting reading. Hope you can open the link. http://cosmeticcop.com/bulletin/bb.asp?type=0506
Have to agree with Charismatic - it's one of life's foibles that we females are blessed with those wonderful dimples! Just one of Nature's little tricks that we carry our weight around our thighs (mostly) and men carry it around their tummies.

A cheap and effective product for cellulite which I have found effective is The Garnier Body Rollerball. It's only about 8 dollars and if you use it every morning coupled with dry body brushing you'll definitely notice the difference. It was also tested in one of my very old shop til you drops and got the best reviews (this is what prompted me to try it).

Exactly! Probably not what's inside the rollerball but the rollerball itself that is assisting with the appearance of cellulite!

What is dry body brushing? Sometimes I attack my thighs with a hard loofah in the shower, is that good enough?

Dry body brushing helps with circulation. It is done with a soft bristle (natural or synthetic) brush before you get wet. It is done in sweeping motions always going toward the heart. If you can get into the habit of doing this before your shower, it does help not only with circulation but with exfoliating body skin and assisting cellulite.:)

I use a Riffi mitt in the shower, I do find it helps if I remember to do it regularly. Helps with ingrowns too ;)

We've got them for sale on the site :) They're kind of like a loofah only synthetic, and more bristly.

OOOOoooo Rifffi Mitt!! I have something just like that except it has a supper soft almost velour (except synthetic) side and the super scratchy harder side. At first it feels really harsh and my skin was soo red but after a few goes it softened slightly and I have been using it on the days i dont want to dry brush. I love it soo much dry. :hearts: :hugs: It really helps with those little ingrown i get on the backs of my thighs. Fab before a fake tan.

A great little tip i have loved that a day spa therapist told me once is once you have dry brushed and your skin feels all tingly jump in the shower as normal ( water warm not hot) and finish by turning the water down low the cold water is great for circulation and fluid retention...getting rid of it that is.
