I have just been browsing the Adore shop & was looking at the SkinCeuticals range. Has anyone tried this brand? Some of the products look industrial strength.

No, not yet but going to try the 0.5% Retinol as per Allison's recommendation.

Yes well I was looking at that product too. They have a few things along those lines.I was wondering weather they might be better to try than the Alpha H White Gold?

Message Allison with your current routine, your concerns and expectations, she will send you a suggested routine to follow.
I too am keen to try the White gold (for some freckles and pigmenation). Believe that still relies on AHA and some natural skin brighteners. The Retinol can also help with revealing new layers of skin and is certainly a more active product. Best to check with Allison, good luck!

A therapist once recommended the Skin Ceuticals 0.5% Retinol for my hormonal acne during a course of Micro-dermabrasion I wa having.
I was having one micro a week. I was told to use the serum at night a couple of times a week under my moisturiser. After 2 days my face stung everytime i used my foundation (it was a mineral one too) and when i rubbed my sunscreen into my face in the morning my skin started to peel off. I rang the therapist in horror. She informed me I was suppossed to use the serum AFTER my course of Micro was finished but had neglected to tell me so. Why she didnt just give it to me at the END when i was SUPPOSED to use it is beyond me. Luckily I have fair skin and didnt develop any post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation!! but it took weeks for my skin to stop stinging when i used my foundation.
Please dont get me wrong I think that in the stakes of Vit A treatments this is good.Just dont use it if you having peels or micro :shake:

Ouch! What an awful experience, why ever did she just wait until your course had finished?!
I have heard that even at the 0.5% concentration that peeling may eventuate, you do need to be prepared!
