Hi Guys

Does anyone use a body bronzer? (not fake tan)

I have been using one for two years from the Jemma Cosmetics range called cookies and cream. Wanting to switch to something a bit more indulgent. Have heard good things about Scott Barnes Body Bling and Nars - but they are definately $$$$!!

I am willing to go there - but does anyone use anything slightly cheaper???

I have written about the Chi Chi Solarium in a Bottle many times. I dont use fake tan, just preferring to colour my legs when I am wearing a skirt or cropped pants. It is available from Myer for $19.95. It is a bit glittery but nothing too over the top, dries instantly and doesnt come off until you wash it off. Smells yum and you get to control the colour. I still use a disposable glove as the pigments are strong. Give it a go, you will love it!

i have a great OMshe brazilian body bronzer, if you cant get hold of that Natio make one almost identical and both under $20 i think.

They both give a great colour and smell yummy.

Natio one is well priced (think about $16) but I preferred the Chi Chi colour and consistency.

I have the Scott Barnes Body Bling - AMAZING! It costs around $80 from Kit or Mecca but you get a generous amount!

I think I need a new facial bronzer. I am currently using a loose powder one but its by Poppy, ? years old & should be chucked. I tend to brush it over my concealer when I am wearing light make up instead of using a full foundation.
I don't need a tinted moisturiser as I am using the Meagan Gale one.

So what's good out there at the moment?

It seems as though most brands have a bronzer amongst their products. It all depends on the finish you require. Best to actually check them out as some can look "dirty" while others have an obscene amount of sparkle arkle to them!

I personally have the Christian Dior one which I love but there are many pocket friendly ones which remain popular. They include the Body Shop's bronzing balls, Natio Bronzer (huge seller), Physician's Formula (again multi coloured) and your good old Natural Glow (I think now known as Natural Glamour) which is available in a pressed or loose option in summer and winter (lighter). They have recently released a fully contained one with a brush end.

Because you have had yours for years (it obviously lasts you ages!) it might be worth investigating a more lush option as the textures and pigments tend to be of a higher quality. But hey, your (huge!) choice is out there! Wonder what the other Adoreables have to recommend?

I use Prestige Bronzer on my face. Its retails for 30$ but at the moment if you buy one from Priceline you get a free bronzing product, either a cooling Bronzing stick or a bronzing gel. I chose the gel and thats quite good as well.

Other bronzers ive used are She, $20, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (I think about $80).

But so far Im sticking to prestige. Great price, great colour and its huge.

Regarding the body bronzers, I've used an Estee lauder one whish comes in a mousse foam type package and ois great for bronze colour, but is a bit sparkly for day wear, I tend to use it on legs and arms for night wear only, also have used the Jungle Bronze cream bronzer and this smells fab and gives a nice color to my olive skin- so would reccommend it - usually you can try it before you buy though.

For my face, I use the Natural Glow Summer bronzer in the pressed powder option and love it, have to admit I got it many years ago off my mum- but it lasts for ages and still works fantastically!! I keep this one in my handbag for touchups.
I also use a Sportsgirl one, its a bronzing balls with a twist top. I got many years ago too (on sale). This one is in my bathroom and I tend to use this more often than the Natural Glow one, this is great, it too has lasted for ages and would buy it again....

I just love the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer, it is such a classic, since it's release in 1984, one is sold every 10 seconds. :worship:

Gosh you make me feel old! I was working with Guerlain products in 1984 when it was released! They used to have an amazing liquid bronzer too, a watery consistency that you just tinted your skin with - only problem came in a glass bottle (think Betadine colour!).:ashamed:

thanks for the Info Luisa - I called into Myer on my way home on Friday and picked up a bottle - BUT - I then called at the Benefit counter and got their mini Valley of the Stars translusent set - two eye shadows, one lip gloss and 2 highlighters and the girl on the counter convinced me to get the benefit bronzer instead! So I still have to try the Chi Chi - but I'll get there soon no doubt!

I used the Napoleon Whipped Dream body cream yesterday to go to an engagement party. It's a bronzer, body cream and fake tan in one (only a little bit of fake tan though - about the same as tanning body lotions like Dove/Johnsons/Palmers etc). Good stuff and smells nice too.

Hi Luisa - the mini set from Benefit is lovely - I've been using it all weekend, it gives a lovely natural fresh look - we went to a bbq on Saturday night and my girlfriend asked what was different about me - she couldn't put her finger on it but said I looked healthy! - it's well worth checking out :waving:

:typing: My fav has to be the body shops bronzing pearls. They have lasted me aggges (ok, i dont use them everyday, but they last!) and are still great quality. I also find a light dusting can be almost un-noticable except for a little bit of shimmer, so very natural. Of course you can build the colour up for a more bahamas look!

For the face, I like Laura Mercier Pressed Powder in "Shimmer", MAC powder bronzer in Golden, and Bloom bronzer in Aloha.

For all you Benefit fans out there, have seen an advert for a new product called Benefit 10 Bronzing and Hightlighting Face Powder Duo .It says to run the flat brush over the two-toned powder so the pink is on half and the bronze shade is on the other. With the pink side up, sweep over your cheekbones. The pink instantly brightens your facte while the bronze provides a little colour and contour.

Fab - thanks Luisa. Once again Benefit takes all the guesswork out of the equation. On the Sydney shopping list it goes!

I tested the ID Bare Minerals facial Bronzer today. They have 2 colurs one is more pink, the other brown. I tried the latter & it was quite good. No sparkle if that's what you're after. The only thing that I didn't like was the price - $70.
