I love the brand Pout! I have most of the range (surprise surprise) and think that Pout products are of a very high quality. I also have the honour of being the very first person to buy Pout in Australia when it launched a few years ago!

The Pout packaging is to die for and is inspired by lingerie. I am going to list my very favourite Pout Products.

Lip Gloss - The pout lipgloss is a little sticky but nothing shines your lips quite like it. My lips look positively juicy when I wear it and I always get comments. I have nearly every shade of Pout Lipgloss:redcheeks: but my favourites are:

Pop My Bubble: Bubblegum pink

Lick My Lolly: Soft Toffee Brown

Be My Baby: Light Pink

Burst My Berries: Deep Plum

Eyeshdows - All the Pout Eyeshadows come in duo's. The pigments in the Pout eyeshadows are very fine and therefore very easy to blend. My favourites include:

Miss June: soft lilac & medium brown

Miss Bahamas: Golden Shimmer & Dark Chocolate Brown Shimmer

Miss Wales: Soft Silvery Grey & Dusty Pink

Miss Fiji: Light and Dark Aqua

Pout also make a range of liquid eyeshadows called eyeslicks. These are extremely long wearing cream shadows and are quite richly pigmented so a little goes a long way.
My Favourites Include:

Bamboo: Dark Brown

Lotus: Rich plum/purple

Indrani: Charcoal Grey

Swing: Pretty Pale Pink

Cobra: Mint Green

Bee: Bronzy Brown

Tigress: A clear gel to put on top of shadows to make them look super shiny.

Pout also make blush in both Powder and Cream Form. The cream blushes are gorgeous and blend soo easily into the cheeks, I love the sherbert shimmer one which is probably more like an illuminator than a blush.

I have two of the Powder Blushes in the Pout range, Cherie Tarte and Pearly Queen. I find these very very rich. I hardly let my brush touch the blushes as they are so richly pigmented if not applied very sparingly could be disasterous.

Wow, what a superb rundown! Very educational Pcc! I especially like the idea of the eyeslicks and powder eyeshadows. The clear gel sounds fab - I remember a Lancome advert years ago that showed black and red eyeshadows that looked like they had vaseline petrolium jelly all over the top, didnt want to try that but this sounds like it can transform even the most mundane eyeshadow!

Pout is excellent Luisa. Their products are very good quality and you can tell that as soon as you see them. I am surprised you haven't sussed out the Pout range earlier. Pout is absolutely huge in the U.K. The poutlets in London are gorgeous, like walking into an old fashioned bedroom. I was gobsmacked to walk into a poutlet and see Kylie Minogue sitting up having a makeover, needless to say from one Aussie to another I felt it was was my duty to say hello!!

I also love the Pout Lipglosses but i wouldn't say it was my favourite as it is very sticky and i have difficulty using the tube with the flat applicator. Be my baby is a great colour though.

What an amazing life you have had. I am so in awe that you worked in a Poutlette, you're and actress, Beauty Therapist and singer! I so wished I'd have followed my heart and did Beauty Therapy instead of a six year degree. I guess theres always time to persue other avenues but I think you have had such an exciting and varied life so far!

the grass is always greener! My life may sound great on paper, but it's a small window that you're looking though. We each have our crazy and amazing stories. I was just an impulsive girl and took risks (beause I was always so scared to in my late teens and early twenites). I made sacrifices too though.

I waited years until I got the courage to study theatre... and as a result of my craving for theatre and music I sacrificed a lot (time and $$).. such is life huh? living in fear is far worse!

I have friends who have fallen by the wayside as they don't agree with my haphazzard lifestyle but I wouldn't really have it any other way I think...

Just heard a (unsubstantiated) rumour that Pout may be discontinued in Australia and will shortly be 30% off at Myer. Apparently the brand is pulling out of Sephora and Victoria's Secret in the US as well.

OK, I am a bit upset. I just got an e-mail from that certain nameless website which sells Pout to let me know that there is a farewell sale. Can anyone fill me in on what's going on? I did read the previous posts about Pout being discontinued - is this really happening?

I first tried Pout only last year - I got a set with a duo eyeshadow (Miss Tahiti), a mascara and a lip gloss. And I also got the Lip Lovers Palette. I was totally blown away by the quality - the eyeshadows apply so smoothly and effortlessly, and stay put for hours; the mascara lengthens my lashes beautifully without clumping, and the lip palette is just divine. I had heard about Pout long before, and it was even better than I imagined -honestly think it's just as good as Nars, which I love also.

But now.....I read about this.....I am shocked. Is it being discontinued because of poor sales and lack of interest? I wouldn't think so - it's such a great brand. Does this mean we will only be able to buy it directly from their website now? I thought they didn't offer international shipping previously, but I've checked & they do - for 13.50 pounds, which is about 32AUD.

OK, so there are bargain Pout products on offer, but I'm still sad lol!!!

I'm not sure what they are doing. They are discounting their line but I don't know if they are making new stuff. It doesn't look to be so though.

Not sure why it's being discontinued here and in the US (still on sale in the UK) - I guess the cosmetics biz is pretty competitive, particularly with new brands coming out all the time. Must be hard.

Are there any specific brands that you are after from overseas? I have shopped from a site which is UK based, to get my Urban Decay stuff (another brand I can't live without!). They also have Pout & quite a few other brands. I think I paid about 8 pounds in shipping, which worked out to about 20 AUD, but the service was great. I may get my Pout stuff from there, but those gifts you get from the Pout site look tempting.......

I know that international shipping can be a rip off sometimes, but I generally prefer shopping from a US website, especially because the Aussie dollar is good right now, so when it gets converted to Aussie dollars, it's not as bad as when it's converted from UK pounds.

Well, I didn't get my order again today! I saw the postie stop at the house across the road to deliver a parcel & I thought yay finally - but he had nothing for me!!

I got THE call today about out of stock items on my Pout order, 9 days after placing the actual order :no:
I was prepared for this as most of you also got THE call. But when she said "3 of the 4 items you ordered are out of stock", alarm bells went off. "What do you mean 4 items??? I ordered 12!" Despite my calls, detailed 3 page fax & email they STILL had my order wrong :shakehead: Despite the fact that I spoke to a real person on the phone last week who read my whole order back to me & assured me it would all be fine, despite the fact that I have been charged for all 12 items, they can't find it! :explode: Yes I did throw a hissy fit but I think it was justified. No one there knows anything.
After a few hours & calls & mucking around I think I have an order? Half of the things I wanted have sold out naturally but I still racked up a $100 order.
Keep watching next week for the never ending saga .....

They don't have Eyeshadow in Miss Barbados & Eyeslick in Bud (2 of my 4 items). So I just substituted for 2 other eyeshadows. I thought about getting a refund, but I love Pout's eyeshadows too much - they are the best I have ever tried in terms of ease of application and also staying power. So seeing as they are dirt cheap I decided to substitute. They said it would be sent out today (fingers crossed), so I should get them on Thursday.

I received my first Pout order today so i should hopefully get the rest tomorrow. yayayay i can't wait till lunch time when i can have a good look at it all. :penguin:

Oops!!! Sorry girls i'm a bit of scatter brain today because i'm so excited about my new Pout make-up.

Big Lash mascara - black - never used before but i'm looking forward to it

I'm so excited to use it all tomorrow for work and then hopefully when i collect the mail my second order will be there.

Just feel totally disgusted for everyones treatment regarding Pout orders. I think the way in which all of this has been handled is unprofessional at the every least. I still haven't got mine and whilst I can wait I find it totally unacceptable that a major company can be so disorganised and unprepared in such circumstances.

I would suggest if you can get into a Myer store that sells Pout I think they will have their stock significantly reduced also.

I would encourage everyone to send a letter of concern and disappointment to the Managing Director of Brand Makers (the parent company of rescu) Bahaar Ettiman. She is a very savvy business woman and I doubt that she would be impressed by the way this entire debacle has been handled. Remember we will our have a voice by doing this and hopefully save others from similar treatment.

I won't - after reading about everyone else's experiences, I won't expect a miracle! Maybe I should have ticked express post - I did that for one of my orders once & got it the next day via Australian Air Express! You should ring them - I've ordered about 4 or 5 times from them previously & have had to call them about 4 to 5 times regarding my order, because there's always been some sort of issue.

Also, they shouldn't be charging people's credit cards until the order is about to be shipped.

Yeah copy me too. I think we all ordered on the same day. Mine got an extra stuff up so I am expecting my order to arrive at least a week later than all yours. Byt again would be good to note on my complaint letter that my friends got their orders on X date why was mine so much later???

I was told over the phone that i received 2 eyewander that i ordered........ WELL THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK NOW. I had my hopes up. Oh well less money on my credit card. I relaly didn't get a lot over all.

I called them yesterday to see what happened to my order & they e-mailed the warehouse & got back to me today - my order has been dispatched from the warehouse, so hopefully should be getting it soon. That was about the 6th time I 've spoken to them. It was so frustrating because a couple of times I missed their call, so I called back, but they said they'd have to call me back. And I never got a return call, so I had to call them! Phew - hopefully this saga will be over soon!

mine was sent registered post. I would ring them and check when they sent it, and if they say 'not sent yet' I'd be kicking up a stink! This is ridiculous!!

M I agree with Jaime, it is RIDICULOUS (that needed caps) that yours, Luisa's and bluemelon's packages haven't arrived. I was angry enough at two weeks, I can imagine annoyed you must be! :explode:

there's no reason not to send it. If an item is out of stock then so be it, but send the rest already!!

Me too! All I can say is that after all this time I had better be getting everything they said I would. Would you belive they actually refunded my credit card for those items that were out of stock on the 4th Oct? So, now the 18th , soon to be 19th, and I am STILL WAITING! Grrr!

Good news is - finally received my order today after 3 weeks :)

Bad news is - they forgot to include one of my items :flames:

I am spitting chips. I am so sick of having to contact them. The item they left out was one of the items to replace my 2 out of stock ones. I got one, but not the other. Peeeeeeeved majorly!

And get this - one of the eyeshadows I ordered doesn't match the name. I ordered Miss Canada, which is meant to be a deep pebble shimmer & light grey shimmer, and although the pack says Miss Canada on the back, the colours on the inside are a bronzey colour and a light taupey beige (ie what Miss United States is supposed to be - and it's actually the product I am missing :chuckle:) So even though I've got Miss Canada & am missing Miss United States, it's actually the other way around :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

I'm feeling a bit like this right now :rollthoseeyes:

FINALLY got mine today too - 23 days after ordering!

Funny thing was my invoice was printed out the day after I ordered. I still cannot understand WHY it took so long!

That said, although I didn't get the four things I really wanted, the presentation and colours of the items I received are fab. Looking forward to trying.

blush stick in Rampant Rose - more on the peachy side than I expected but still a nice colour
Illuminator in After Glow - teeny bit too dark for me, but I'm happy to mix it with moisturiser if need be

I know how you are feeling Medusa! Mine also was promised to be sent express after all my waiting, turned up with ordinary post. You have to keep ringing them. Ring them this morning and no doubt they will say they are awaiting to hear from despatch. Tell them you will be ringing back in an hour for the result. This has been an experience to remember!

I think you can actually ring the post office and have it transferred to another post office that's more convenient for you - save you a long trip.

It was quite a drama at the post office as they couldn't find & I had to go to yet another post office but eventually I had the hot potato in my hot little hands. Phew! The box says 19th october. Is this the shipping date or the delivery date? Also I see that the it was shipped only half an hour away from me & yet took a whole bloody month to get here! :flames:

Upon opening I had mixed emotions. I was happy to see everything was in good condition unlike PCC's order. I was surprised to see 2 items I was told were out of stock. I was disappointed to receive 1 item in the wrong colour. I was confused about getting 2 of something I had only ordered 1 of? I was relieved to find that most of it was there but perplexed as to why there was no invoice or picking slip?

Here's the rundown
Lipslick - Party Girl (soft nude matte) its not really matte, just a natural look which is what I was after.
Lipslick - Calender Girl ( Holographic pink shimmer) I really like the vanilla smell of these lipslicks.
Lipslick - Naughty Girl (shimmery mid lilac) took a chance on this as it had no pic. Looks dark in the bottle but is ok on.
Lipgloss - Pop my Bubble (bubblegum pink) The colour is very sheer but very glossy.
Lipgloss - Be My Baby (pastel pink blush) almost clear.
Lipgloss - Tickle my Fancy (Pale pink Shimmer) looked more apricot on the site but is in fact a soft pastel pink frost.
Lip Liner pencil - 36C Warm Rose Pink. Ordered 1 got 2 :rollthoseeyes: Luisa if you don't get yours, you can have one. Lip coloured.
Eye pencil - Eye Miss You (black with green shimmer) love the packaging & dual ended with smudger. Colour good too.
Dual Mascara - Flash Lash. One end black & the other is supossed to be Sapphire but I got Jade??? Still nice but would prefer the blue. The colour is metallic.
Highlighter - After Glow & Love Glow. Was told these were sold out. :question: Look good, maybe I don't need the MAC Strobe Cream afterall? :rolleyes:
Flush Blush - Sherbet Shimmer (champagne) got this to replace the highlighters above. Nice & portable though & good to smaller applications. Very much like the Nars Multiple in Copacabana.
Cake Desserted Island Moisturizing Body Glaze - oil spray. Feels nice & non greasy but I am undecided on the smell. Is supossed to be vanilla & coconut which I can smell but also reminds me of fake tan. Little bit scary. Will need a home day for full application testing.
Perfume Samples - L'Artisan Parfumeur in Timbuktu & Tubereuse. Penhaligon's Lily of the Valley.

Geeze! I have to say that I am not shopping with them again! No way!! If they can't even handle four hundred orders in a month then what's the point of them being in business. If they treat all their customers in the way that they have with Pout saga I am surprised they have any customers at all.

I think the best way to get the message across is to talk with your credit cards girls and don't shop with them again if you are unhappy with their service!

Did get some great bits in my order in the end but certainly don't think it was worth all the drama. I have enough Pout now to last me three life times!

Dagnabit, you got the Sherbet Shimmer - I missed out on this. I did get the Love Glow Illumuniator, which I like, but seems to have an irridescent pink frost shimmer in certain lights which I wasn't expecting...hmmmm....not OTT but a bit 80s! Gorgeous packaging though.

I've only used it a couple of times, might bring it down to Melb with me for possible swapsies. Prefer my Benefit High Beam I think.

No nothing. The box only has the postal sticker on it, which I might add only states my first name so made tracking it down that much harder. :shakehead:

None of my stuff was in it's boxes, and the plumpling glosses had been taken out of the big plastic bubbles they are usually packaged in.

None of mine came in boxes! I have spoken to them about the few items of my 39 that were in less than perfect condition and they have refunded my money and I get to keep the items.

What a stuff up but I guess all we can do is learn from our experience and let our feet do the talking. I am going to miss Pout but thank god one of my besties lives in London so she can still get me my essentials.

Must say I am super impressed with the Pout foundation I got. It's gorgeous!!
