Spotted a new body-lotion-with-a-bit-of-tanner by Nivea in the supermarket today so picked one up... I am making it my mission to try them all - have already tried Johnsons (smelly) and Dove (not bad as a top-up for Fake Bake but too yellow on its own). Will report back :)

Let us know how it goes! I'm a fellow faired-skin-girl and I tried the Johnsons Holiday skin. Yes it's a bit smelly and a tad orangey too for my liking. Always on the lookout I am.:D

It's going pretty good so far - no orange-ness, and my partner couldn't smell the fake-tan smell on me so that's good too. It's not very moisturising though, not as creamy as Dove or Johnsons. But the colour and the smell are thumbs up so far!

I have also been hearing good things about the Garnier one, I will have to try that next :)

I'm trying to use up my Johnson's Skin one as quickly as possible so that I can try the L'oreal one called Nutrisummer, haven't heard much about it so I'm going to be brave and guinea pig. Today I bought Palmer's Cocoa Butter Leg Perfecting Gloss. So far, so good. It's a little hard to rub it all in but once you have the smell is beautiful, you're legs looks fantastic and slightly bronzed and it also has a growth inhibitor in it. Best of all it was on sale, $20 down to $12!!

one thing for stress- you can keep it in your hand bag while you shop!

resue remedy. little drops of flower essences that you drop on your tonuge when stressed. non chemical all a la natural!

you can put 10 drops into a water bottle if you want to just sip it as you go on stressful days.

a lot of chemists have it and I would love us to have it here- a beauty essential!

I'm with Alison - I've been using Bach Rescue Remedy ever since I was 8 years old and I love it, gets rid of stress like nothing else, although I do agree with pinkcupcake, there's nothing like shopping to get rid of the blues ;)

Hello!! Still stressed but the cold sore didnt eventuate (phew!). I too am a fan of shopping and rescue remedy. I have the drops in my bag all the time. They have a new "pastille" form or soft lolly-looking thing. It is equivalent to four drops of sprays of liquid. I never delve in my handbag for these as it takes me forever (if ever) to recognise or admit that I am stressed!

I am changing jobs after 10 years in current one. Lots to do, finish and pass on before I finish up at the end of the week. This weekend is ME time - shopping, facial (my own) and reading my glossy mags! Tomorrow afternoon I will walk around the corner to get my Adore order, that's always fun. Trying out the newish Clarins waterless cleanser. I have one in Dior and really finds it finishes off the cleansing process.

Ciao girls

Went shopping today girls, Gave my credit card a severe workout! Oh well i'm worth it. lol.
This is what I purchased:

Insolence perfume by Guerlain - it's a sweet one of course!

Gloss Box By Cargo - This contains about 14 single use lip gloss wands in assorted colours. They are ideal for travelling.

Color Cards By Cargo - These are flat (like a business card) single use eye shadows that come in a cute little tin with 28 assorted colours.

Vitamin C Face Scub by The Body Shop
Vitamin C Eye Reviver by The Body Shop - The new Vitamin C range is well worth checking out. I have been using the time relaease face capsules also and would say they are equally as good as my Dermalogica Multi Vitamin Capsules and are only a fraction of the price.

Sexy Summer Super Balm By Pout - Beautiful little pot of balm in a gorgeous tan little container. Contains a bit of shimmer and is really moisturising!

Chanel No 5 Hair Mist - not usually a fan of Chanel No 5 but just wanted to say I have a perfume especially for my hair!

Addict 2 eau fraiche by Christian Dior - New addition to the Addict family. Has a lovely light floral scent and comes in a pink frosted bottle.

Juicy Tube Charms By Lancome - 3 minature juicy tubes with but little silver charms hanging off them.

Prada Sunglasses - nice black ones I've had my eye on for a while!

2 Scented Candles by Tocca - just because I love candles!

I also bought my god daughter a bottle of Barbie Perfume. She's five and I think it pays to start them on a beauty routine early. Hehe

Today I purchased a Skeem candle in a little boutique. I got the Pinot Noir one and it smells beautiful. It was only $31.00 and comes in what I would call vintage inspired packaging. It burns for 90 hours. I only just realised that Adore also sells them! Hoping that Adore will get more scented candles in the future!

If anyone should feel the guilt about not finishing products, it should be me!! She with the 20 (yes it was 17 in the hand cream thread but I found another at the bottom of my handbag and another two shoved in a cupboard! )opened hand creams!!. My opened and unopened products take up any drawer, cupboard and box at home, including my linen cupboard in which there is no more space to pack away clean towels! It's funny though, each time I come across items that have been stored for a while it feels like I've just been shopping! Mmmm... forgot you were hiding there!:o

I am so thankful for FINALLY finding other people who don't use up all their products. I am absloutely hopeless when it comes to finishing things because I always buy more and want to try the new ones and forget all about the old ones! I always have friends and family telling me how wasteful I am and that I don't need anymore products! Finally I know I am not alone and I can't tell you what a relief it is to have found other people who are similar to me! My friends were starting to make me feel abnormal! Now I can tell them I have new friends who are exactly the same as me if not worse;)

Hey Jaime, how did you go with the Alpha H products you bought?

So far I have quite enjoyed using the products, but I'm not overley impressed with the anti-age serum. It's really difficult to get it out of the sachet and it dribbles everywhere. It's also really really yellow, I wasn't expecting it to be so yellow and I had to be extremely careful in making sure it was all rubbed in.... otherwise you look like you've had an accident with yellow dye! But apart from that little gripe, I'm quite happy with the products.
Yesterday I bought the Garnier body summer lotion, and it's really good! It has a pleasant fruity smell to it, can't comment on the results yet coz i've only used it once. It absorbed in the skin really quickly.

Luisa Brown
05-11-2006, 10:46 PM
Hi Jaime, the yellow you describe is most likely the carrot oil in the Hydra Defense serum. Admitedly, having a sachet would make it difficult to control, no such problem with the bottle and dropper. The carrot oil contains betacarotene which converts to vitamin A in the body so it has great benefit to the skin. I remember when I bought this I was told to just use a few drops with my moisturiser. I infact use it by itself on just-damp skin at night, pop a few drops on your fingers, rub fingers together and press onto your skin. Just dont a have a gorgeous pillow case on your pillow! Hope that helps as it really is a great product :)

Luisa Brown

Hard to go into Priceline and NOT buy anything. Usually it's a top up of make-up wipes and big cleansing sponges for my mask removal. It's also a good chance to "play" with the budget cosmetics! :p

I love going to Priceline! I find it hard to walk past a priceline store without stcking my head in to suss out what they have on offer! I generally by all my cotton wipes, sponges, cotton buds and the occasional pack of face wipes from there. They also stock a cute little range called Sugarbaby which I love! I adore the pink packaging! It is so inexpernsive but really effective. I love the shimmer powder puff and the cheek and lip stains. The have gorgeous (non sticky) lip goss and really cute eyshadows. If you are a girly girl and you haven't checked out Sugarbaby as yet, pop into priceline and check it out!:)

Ultra Self Tan 50ml, Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF30+ 50ml,
Ultra Lip Protect SPF30+ 4g and

plus a body exfoliating mitt and a cosmetics bag.

Just purchased the Alpha-H Liquid Gold from Adore based on the many reviews both on the site and the obvious fan club for them on the forum! Really, really, really hope it works as I have gone through so so many products, samples and facials to try and get rid of scarring and uneven skintone, and spent a heck of a lot of money on the money (something which can be quite difficult being a uni student paying bills and rent but not wanting to sacrifice anything for half decent skin! hence why I'm a fan of cheap things that work or home-made beauty recipes).

Lady Allison (Staff)

Liquid gold is great and you are more likely to get results by makining sure you have a full skin program expecially for your skin.

If you need help feel free to email me as I do the 'ask allison' column here at adore and help you guys out with specific skin care advice as you need it.

Thanks a lot Allison, actually I was wondering, when I get the Alhpa-H Liquid Gold, do I use it both morning and night, everyday or what?? Thanks Kate, the Liquid Gold arrived this morning perfectly on time, with Alpha-H samples and a Santa chocolate! (had two heart appt. at hospital so this made my day :D ) It also had written about 5 times in different places how to use it, so helpful, should have known Adore would have had it downpat anyway!

Pinkcupcake, loving the mousse blush, want to go back and buy it in Pink Frosting, and maybe the bronzing one too. Also, how are you finding your Alpha-H Classique Skincare kit? Thinking about purchasing the Active skin one myself...

pinkcupcake
13-11-2006, 04:59 PM
Hi Melita,
I am finding the Alpha-H Classique skincare good. The balancing cleanser leaves my skin feeling baby soft. Other forum members have said that they have changed the formula of the Liquid Gold and that it is not tingly on their skin as much anymore. I found it very tingly when I put it on my skin so I am not sure if I am a bit sensitive to it or if I might have got one from the old batch! Either way I find it very good. The Rejuvinating Cream takes a while to absorb on my skin but I am only using it at night so that doesn't matter so much. Overall I am really happy with the Apha-H range and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.
I am so thankful for this forum and the members input as I wouldn't have tried the Alpha-H range if I hadn't heard all the rave reviews about it.

I thought you would love:hearts: the Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush! I have purchased many top end blushes and I think the Maybelline ones are equally as good if not better. I think this will become a 'cult' product in the various beauty awards in the future!

Hi Melita,

With the liquid gold it is advised to apply it in the evening after cleansing and follow with a moisturiser. In your case with the break outs you mentioned I would advise the balancing moisturiser in the range which you can also apply in the morning and follow with sunblock. Make sure you are exfoliating 2-3 times a week with the microcleanse (which is brilliant!) and the 15 % glycolic mask makes your skin feel like a baby's bum!

The Active kit has most of these products in it!

hope that helps

Vitamin C Intensive Night Treatment by The Body Shop (just loving the vitamin C range eventhough I have never been fond of The Body Shops skincare)!

Avene Thermal Spring Water (sooths and hydrates). It also won an InStyle Beauty award this year.

On The advice of forum users I purchased the Kosmea Rose Hip oil eventhough I have another type from The Organic Pharmacy on its way somewhere!

Sarah Jessica Parkers Lovely Liquid Satin (more like an oil but supposedly the same fragrance as the original)

Glitter Eyeliner in silver by The Body Shop (great for the festive season).

Pinkcupcake, tell me what the Midnight Charm fragrance smells like? The EL eyeshadows sound like great value, do they blend well?

The midnight charm fragrance is quite unique smelling. It is light, fresh but very pretty. Not sure what the ingredients are but I like it. I will spray it again and consider it then report back.

The Estee Lauder eyeshadows blend well and have quite small particles. I have always found them easy to blend and they certainly last well but I would have to say that the Dior 5 couleurs palettes are my very favourites ever!

Hi Pinkcupcake!

You wont be disappointed, the Water Comfort cleanser is fabulous. My skin is normal so chose the peach one - just loving the smell as well! You could perhaps use the combination skin one in the warmer months and leave the normal one for colder months but I suspect you could alternate both when you feel like it. The normal one certainly doesnt leave any residue behind so should be fine for you!:waving:

Yes, Laura would be so into that! I have picked up many inexpensive things for her Christmas stocking - my only problem is I am usually half asleep trying to wrap them all and it's getting more difficult to find "hiding spots" each year! Please refer to my Budget Skincare Star Performers thread! Posted it in the wrong thread:rolleyes: !!

Oooh I am so excited that people are buying things I have recommended! Makes me feel a bit special!! Can you imagine all the things I am going to have to tell you about when I get back from Melbourne next weekend! I am going to go off! I can just imagine what I am going to be like in the new David Jones Beauty Hall. My Parents and all their families and my friends are giving me money to buy my Birthday (Christmas Eve) and Christmas Presents. They find me exceptionally hard to buy for as I have so much stuff. I am also going to buy my self many treats.

Oh and I am getting a new Louis Vuitton Handbag (from Crown) a Necklace from Tiffany & Co and a wallet from Chanel (all presents). I also think I might be getting another Maltese Puppy from my brother as there was a suspicious message left on his answering machine!! I already have one little boy named Billy. I am counting down the sleeps! Very excited! My family say I am like a two year old at Christmas! lol

Your post on the Tasmanian skincare should stay in that thread as it sounds like really great value! I am interested in your cleanser, going to check out their website.

My, you need to get your walking shoes on with all that shopping in Melbourne! I bet you will have so much fun picking out your goodies. Just make sure your put on your "pleading - I had to buy my WHOLE family presents" when you get slugged for excess baggage!! Have tons of fun xo

Today i got an early Chrissie present from a friend who is going overseas for 6 weeks. We exchanged gifts and said that we wouldn't open them until Christmas! She had only been left my house for ten minutes when she rang me and said she had opened hers, It was sooo funny because I had opened mine before her car left the street! lol

She got me a really good present:

The Milk Man Suit Case By Philosophy (contains chocolate scented lip gloss, lotion & shower gel)
Sterling Silver key ring from Tiffany & Co
Louis Vuitton Organiser!

This was a combined pressie as it's my birthday on Christmas Eve!

She got my Maltse a Batman outfit! lol

What strength did you get Jaime? Please make sure you only use it on spots and not more liberally xo

I got the 2.5%. I will be careful using it, it's quite strong stuff...but I have quite persistant breakouts. I used it as a spot treatment last night on a blemish, and within half an hour the redness had reduced quite considerably. I know it can slightly bleach your skin over time and you have to be really careful in the sun...

Luisa Brown
05-12-2006, 03:03 PM
Good girl! Good strength to start with. Keep applying just to your spots. They do make a 5% too but please avoid the 10% - way too strong. Careful what you clean your skin with, make sure it is gentle. Problems occur when people are using a strong preparation and then a topical treatment. Good luck!

Triple action would be fine, like the fact that it has triclosan (an antibacterial agent) in it. If skin starts to become a bit dry or irritated have a break and use the Cetaphil for now. Let me know how you go.

The little brown bottles are also plastic which are perfect for travel as those of you who have used Aesop products will know the glass bottles can be quite heavy. This little pack in absolutely perfect for a long weekend away. I am taking mine to Melbourne on the weekend!

hey pinkcupcake, well this is the first i've bought this black eyeliner with glitter so i hope it's good. The reason i wanted it was because it seems to be all the go i went onto www.maccosmetics.com and they have a new limited edition range and one of the products was a glittery eye liner and i couldn't afford it so i remembered bloom had a version of it. Apparently Body Shop have a version also.

I wanted something special to wear for new years thats different and special compared to what i usually do. I can't wait to use it.

Think I will give them a ring and try and sort it out!

lip gloss - very sticky but good colour

Princess if you don't like the stickyness of the glosses try out Pouts lip polishes or lipslicks as they aren't sticky at all.

Hi Bubbles,
Firstly the Mario Bedescu products are beautiful. I am a huge fan! The enzyme cleanser is great. It contains alpha hydroxy acids so it removes any dead or duling surface cells whilst you cleanse. My skin is combination and just loves the enzyme cleanser. It's $32 for over 230ml. It will last you for ages. It is also fantastic at getting makeup off. If your skin is a little sensitive I would ask advive from the Kit girls before purchasing it. Kit is fantastic for giving samples so don't be afraid to ask for a little bit to take home and try. I have purchased so many products from them after being given a sample to try first.

Mario Bedescu has been around since the 60's so the brand must be doing something right.

I laso love the Korres products. I have the Guava body butter. It is beautiful smelling. I also got the quince one on the weekend and that is also gorgeous. I have a couple of Korres skincare products (scrub and mask) and they are also wonderful.

In reference to feeling bad about not buying your son something when you shop for yourself buy him some little twig products from Adore. They are gorgeous and you can use them too! Lol

Today I bought myself a beautiful bottle of Chanel No 5 Bath oil. It comes in a 400ml bottle and smells divine. I love the massive Chanel bottle too. It's $126.00 but in my opinion worth every scent. I have had the bath oil before but in a smaller bottle. I can't wait to put it alongside my Jo Malone Bath Oils in my gorgeous bathroom!

Today I was supposed to be shopping for other peoples pressies but I just had to get myself a super bargain when it popped up (despite my Mum telling me I was not allowed to buy another thing for myself:rolleyes:)!! So was at Myer and they had a fragrance sale and I happened across a Ralph Lauren Pure Turquoise gift pack. It had the largest bottle available with body lotion and shower gel and was normally $146 but was reduced to $69! So of course I had to get it (after all I was intending to get it sooner or later so really I saved by getting it now on sale).

After buying a few pressies for other people I decided I would have some sushi and a drink and it wasn't my fault I passed a shoe sale whilst doing that! I ended up buying a pair of summer flats and some new fluffy pink slippers but again I can justify this because it was a sale and therefore I really did save!

Got my big bag of goodies in front of me! Went to the mecca of cheap beauty thrills today, the Bourke St mega Priceline to "stock up" on the basics. Left almost $200 at their register!

I bought,

More Mark Daniels In Detox shampoo (so cheap and a great clarifying shampoo)
New Demake up soft peeling pads (cotton pads with a slightly abrasive side)
Several KMS 125ml tubes of shampoo ($3.99!!!) thanks for the tip from another post!
Loreal Elvive colour protect shampoo ($4.95!!)
Innoxa Peach mini hand cream (got one of these at the beach and it has a great smell and $.
Andrew Collinge Perfect Endings leave in cond spray for long hair.
Charles worthington takeaways (hairspray and cond treatment)
Loreal Blush Delice in Sugar Plum, I smashed mine and now have all colours, these are so fab!
New range called Premium Spa. (Had a voucher from Shop til U Drop that I could have used but left it at home, never mind they are so well priced!) Got Rosehip and geranium body butter in a great travel tube and a big jar of it too! Honey and Ginger body butter, Honey face and body mask and of course ANOTHER hand cream with ginger and organge called SOS hand treatment.
I had a good look at the Red Earth and Bourjois displays, heavenly. The Red Earth has a real funky edge to it, love the combinations and packaging. I bought the most amazing dark black/bronze eyeshadow in a pot. ($16)
At Bourjois I bought my usual 3D effects lip gloss (colour #5) for $21 (much cheaper in Hong Kong!) and a fab dark green eye liner called khol and contour.($16). Liked one of the blushers but it had sold out as had many of their items, hope they re-stock soon.

Went by the Australia on Collins building (sigh!) and nipped into Crabtree and Evelyn. Massive sale and bought a couple of beautiful room sprays and a La Source Body Silk, a lightweight spray on body moisturiser. Not all that keen on their other stuff but great to stock up for future gift giving (didnt do any of that today!

Infact, I took Laura and two friends to the Immigration Museum for their Kids Fest Bollywood day, they had heaps of fun with henna tattoos, scarf making and Indian dancing. Stephen came too and as we walked to Federation Sq I slipped down the groovy lanes off Flinders St to the Mall!

PCC the mega Priceline is on our list of play spots when you next come up!:D

Well back to my local Priceline today as I picked up the catalogue on the way out (silly girl!) of the other store and saw a 30ml bottle of Guerlain's Shalimar for $24!!!!!! I have worn this forever and am almost out and thought what a bargain!

While there though managed to spend over $100 again!

So in addition to my Shalimar, I bought,

This store had a HUGE selection of the KMS products and I bought heaps! They are great sizes (125ml tubes for the shampoos and cond) so great for a few days travel and just to try out their range.
Priceline Brand wipes in Vit E and Re-Balance
Priceline Vit E and AHA Scrub $4.99!!
Palmers Body Moist with self tan. After not using a self tan pretty much since they came on the market (!!) I have decided to try this on my lily white legs!
Palmers Olive Butter Formula (nice and pasty)
Nivea Visage Eye Make up remover (usual staple)
Nivea Vital Re-Hydrating Wash Cream. This is a new range for "mature skin"! Contains Primorose Oil and Silk Proteins and although designed to "effectively dissolve make-up", will try it out in the shower. It is a rich creamy cleanser, prefer them to the foaming type.
TN Dickinson Witch Hazel (replacing one I have, great for after extractions or if skin is feeling a little greasy)

Well now I have to find a spot for all my bargains! Pcc, promise I will cull something from "what do you have in your shower" before I pop these in!!

Has anyone used Mirenesse products? I have tried some of their Powerlift Range, but found them too strong for my skin.

They have sensational cosmetics and today I purchased a gift pack which includes the piano eye shadow in slate ( 6 shades of creaseproof shades from shimmering silver cream through to slate grey/black ) a lip plump gloss and lip lining pencil for $59.50 reduced from $ 160.

Pharmacy in Chapel Street Prahran.

I don't think they were aware what they were selling.

When I arrived home this afternoon, I applied the shadows to test their staying power.

They are still as fresh as when I applied them. There are 3 varieties; Slate (Shimmering Silver/Cream to Grey) Rose (Shimmering Cream/Beige to Deep Blush) Brown (Shimmering Cream to Chocolate)
with the same lip shade being Nudey Pink with Lip Pencil.

I received a little get well pressie from my brothers girlfriend yesterday. Here's what I got:

White Chocolate & Raspberry Bubble Bath
White Chocolate & Raspberry Body Butter
White Chocolate & Raspberry Bath Fizzies (packaged like little chocolates)
White Chocolate & Raspberry Soap (like a block of chocolate)

These products smell amazing and apparently only cost $2.50 each from Target. They are a valentines day promo! They would make such great little pressies also.

Also girls the room sprays in Olive & Green Tea, Lavender and Vanilla in the 200ml vintage bottles with atomisers are now on sale at Target. I got my Mum to get me all 3 as they are only $9.99 each and smell fab. These would also make great gifts and they look awesome and very expensive looking!

I popped into one of those cosmetic store today, that tend to sell discontinued product. I picked up a few big names for a fraction of the price. It was called Cosmocosmetics.
Christian Dior Crayon Eyeliner (black) with smudge tip & sharpener $15
Guerlain Loose Kohl Powder $20. I am so in love with this! The packaging is just beautiful, it even comes in its own velvet pouch & its really really black with miniscule sparkles. :carrot:
http://www.guerlain.com/index.asp?page=gbasp/maquillage/&logo=1
Sally Hansen 18hr Protective Hand Creme 28g $3
White Eyeliner $2
They had some Stila gear too, might go back for that. Has anyone got the lipgloss? Is it sticky?

I picked up a nice soft navy crayon in The Reject Shop for $3 - Cover Girl Smoothers in Indigo

As I have an Arabian Nights party to go to this weekend, it was the perfect opportunity to try Mehandi tattooing. I got some Henna paste in Tree of Life $4. Wish me luck

To top my day off, my Adore order arrived packed with clearance gift packs.
Aesop's Republic of Indispensables

Medusa you really shopped well today. Some delicious products!

I recently purchased the complete Eleusian Zeolite Spa Range; Body Wash, Exfollient, Firming Gel & Body Sculpting Mousse. These products are amazing! I have used the Body Wash and Body Cream in the past but using the complete system has changed the quality of my skin and the results are quite astounding. I have always used good products and my skin is in good condition, however this range has taken it to another level.
Without a doubt the Exfollient is the absolute best I have ever used.

Well done Toastie! I know a lot of people who have debit cards! They are so good because it really isn't credit (therfore no racking up of debt) and the fees are minimal. If I didn't have a credit card I would definitely get one. I probably should have one as opposed to a credit card then I would actually know where the heck all my money is going, instead of paying the entire damn thing off at the end of each month!

Soap Kitchen used to have a shop & salon in Newtown Sydney, but now they just operate online. They only stock natural skincare, make up, remedies & cleaning products. Its run by 2 guys who I have always found most helpful. I email them any questions & they get back to me with a list of reccomendations. Quite often they throw in some samples too. :glee:

From a local shop called Cosmocosmetics. I had never really been in there before as they are one of those shops that sells all the old discontinued stuff no one wants. They had these packs in the window & caught my eye. I went in found many big name make up brands hiding up the back in a glass cabinet. Got a few things (see earlier post). Will be keeping my eye on this one. ;)

The eye shadows are nicer than they look in the palette, in fact everything is. I have never used Stila before. The lipgloss is really nice, like lip balm but with sheen. What I thought was a charcohl eyeshadow actually had more of a purple hue to it on my skin.
I almost didn't get the Vanity Fair kit as I don't wear lipstick anymore but it is light & sheer more like a gloss. The only thing I don't like it the cardboard packaging, even the lippy is cardboard. Not sure how long that is going to last in my bag? :(

Today I went a little crazy in Priceline because they had all of these products by Premium Spa reduced. I bought a big Frangipani and Coconut candle with three wicks (smells great and is great for blackouts), some premium spa "perfect tan" sos self tan lotion, and a pack that had frangipani and coconut sugar body scrub, coconut and vanilla body butter, honey face and body mask and ginger and orange sos hand cream treatment. I was particularly interested in the hand cream as it boasted to be "packed with the healing power of licorice extract, exfoliating agents, cocoabutter, organic jojoba oil, aloe vera and sunscreen. And it all only came to 21 dollars! Gotta love a bargain. Can't wait to try them out.

Today I had a brow appointment at Estee Lauder in David Jones city store, and I got Projectionist High Definition Volume Mascara in Red Brown. Its more of a dark chocolate brown colour than just a basic brown. I also purchased Estee Lauder's Disappear Smoothing Creme' Concealer in shade 02 Light.

The mascara was $42 and the concealer was $46, but because I had my eyebrows done I only had to pay $38. You gotta love that :hearts:

I also bought some new lipgloss. Perfumeria Gal Fragranced Lip Balm in Red Currant. I mainly bought it because I like the little tin it comes in and it smells like lollies.

Just bought from Adore Propoline Hair Mask for Dry Hair & Spilt Ends.

Good girl Luisa! I can see your guard is slowly coming down! Lol!:chuckle: !!

Well lets see what have I purchased or had purchased for me lately:

Michael Korrs Island Hawaii fragrance - got this as a gift from my friend who has been away.

Purchased another bottle of Guerlain Insolence and got the gift with purchase (because for some reason the gifts arrived in Hobart even though Hobart doesn't sell Guerlain so they are giving them away with fragrance). The gift is really good actually and comes in a cute little gold bag!

More Dermalogica from Adore Beauty. Love the precleanse so much that I ordered another (eventhough I am not even half way through the current bottle). Also got the mulit-vitamin power firm eye and lip treatment.

La Mer face masks and Cream De La Mer 60ml - This stuff is seriously brilliant on my skin. After having had a couple of anaesthetics in the past month my skin was quite dry and dehydrated. The La Mer really helped my skin settle. It's expensive but I don't mind paying for it when it provides results this good.

Ozkat, perhaps your skin is not quite ready for it. I would personally recommend it for older, drier skins. I know when my skin is ready for a week's treatment with it. I have been using the Ultraceuticals A serum and skin felt a little prickly so used the La Mer instead last night. Joy!

-NS8 Active Dry Skin Complex for my heels, on Medusa's recommendation (the box included a thick booklet explaining their ingredients and approach to skincare - kudos to them for that).
-Gardenia Perfume Oil from the Body Shop (I just got into a gardenia mood, I have weird moods sometimes where I get obsessed with a certain scent).
-Born Lippy Cool Mint lip balm from the Body Shop - it's the newie and as much as I bag out Body Shop lip balms, I have every single one and am always the first to get a new one! It's quite nice and tingly.

Today I was in priceline and they had the whole sugarbaby range on sale for $7 a product. I only bought 5, as I had to restrain myself. But I picked up some cute things:hearts:

So much for my minimalist approach I couldn't help myself at the shops this afternoon. I bought The Body Shop Ginger Shampoo and Honey Conditioner. Plus I bought the new volume mascara at the Body Shop too!

I started out minimalist today in your honour Alice...but willpower quickly gave out too! Bought the U/C mineral foundation in Beige and U/C dark circle cream, plus they gave me a full-size Ultra Milk Cleanser as a GWP. Fantastic. Haven't tried it yet but will report back in a couple of days.

Then popped into Mecca and bought Stila eyeshadows in Moonlight (shimmery cream/ivory) and Cloud (shimmery suede brown) and Lip Glaze in Fruit Punch (watermelon pink).

A pal is also bringing back some treats back from Sydney for me tomorrow - Pout Lip & Cheek Stain in Rose, Benefit Dandelion powder and Benefit Gilded gold highlighting pencil.

Haven't splurged like this for ages but credit card still going under a big rock, methinks!

A small purchase for me today, two nailpolishes - Revlon in Oooh La La Lilac and a L'Oreal one in a midnight blue colour.

I hide my credit card, I've lowered my credit card limit so I don't spend on it anymore, I use it only in emergencies! ... I am trying to be a good girl!!! That is part in parcel with my approach to go minimalist! ... It is kind of working because I have convinced myself that I needed to buy my TBS shampoo/conditioner because I was going to have to buy some soon anyway ... current shampoo/conditioner are 3/4 empty! ...

Hit Hair Warehouse for a new shampoo but of course came away with extras!

Mastey Restore shampoo & Smooth conditioner pack 480ml bottles $30 (I think I got the cond for free?) - sulfate free. Never heard of this brand before anyone tried?

They had a $10 clearance table so I grabbed;
Fudge Skyscaper hairspray
Fudge Skrewd curl enhancer
Fudge Oomf Booster thickening lotion (for my boy)
MOP C-system Conditioning Mist, light styling spray
All newbies for me so any reviews or tips much appreciated.

I am in love withthe Eau Fraiche. I like original, but I like this one even more! It smells quite similar, but it is a bit more citrussy. It really is just a nice fresh smell which will be lovely for these last warm days leaving Summer.
I got the mascara at Myer in Chatswood.

Mastey Review
I am really happy with my new Code Red (for damaged hair) shampoo & conditioner. My hair feels great, soft & silky and lighter somehow? My scalp is fine as well, no irritation. I don't need to use alot of product for my long hair & it rinses easily without stripping it.
Check it out, they do a whole range of styling products as well.

I bought A'kin shower gels in Jasmine, Orange Blossom and Lavender. Haven't used any of them but I think tonight before bed it will be the Jasmine, followed by a few spritzes of Diorissimo to help me have sweet dreams!
