Is there anywhere in Australia (other than in Sydney) where one can purchase Jo Malone fragrances? I live in Adelaide and I'm pretty sure no one here stocks her fragrances. Anything online? I went on her website and they look lovely, so hoping someone can help me. Has anyone tried any of her fragrances?

They have them at DJs in Melbourne now, but that's not much help to you either :shake:
I've tried the Red Roses, I loved it but my partner went "Blecchhh, smells like roses" :chuckle:

Hi Bizilizzy, I thought they were in most Myer/DJs stores but I guess not, how annoying! Do you have any pals in Sydney or Melbs that could post to you? I use the Vintage Gardenia and it's gorgeous, highly recommend it if you like white florals. PS this is my first post, yay!

Bizzilizzi,
Jo Malone has a counter at the new David Jones Beauty Hall in Melbourne. I am sure if you wanted to buy a fragrance they would happily send it to you by mail if you gave them a call. '
The Jo Malone fragrances are absolutely beautiful! I purchased 3 on the weekend. I got Lime Blossom, Nectarine & Honey and Tuberose. I also got the matching body lotions. The fragrances are available in 2 sizes 30ml ($80) and 100ml ($140). The Body lotions are around $50 each.
This is the first time I have purchased Jo Malone Products and I am so impressed. Definitely worth investing in one.

My brother is in Melbourne this weekend and he rang me today whilst at the Jo Malone counter to ask what fragrances I had purchased from there. Hoping he has got me another off my list of must haves from Jo Malone!:D

Only 3 more sleeps until I get some more Jo Malone goodies:dunce: ! I can't wait! I am having a huge fad on Jo Malone stuff at the moment. It's like my new obsession. Can't wait to see what other ones I get!
I am just loving the French Lime Blossom and The Nectarine Blossom and Honey! They are gorgeous! I love the lime best because it's so unusual and I have never smelled anything like it before.

I am such a lucky girl. On Friday I received the best 'get well' gift ever. It left me totally gob smacked!
I received a basket full of Jo Malone products. Included was:
4 x 100ml Fragrances with matching body lotions & creams, shower gels, bath oils and soaps in:
Pomegranite Noir
Grapefruit
Honeysuckle & Jasmin
Orange Blossom - to me smells a bit like orange peel (oh well there was bound to be one that didn't float my boat). I love the others.
I also got a skincare starter kit. I didn't even know Jo Malone did skin care!! I haven't used it yet but I will let you know what it's like.
I was also lucky enough to be given a heap of samples in all sorts of things such as fragrance, lotions, hand creams etc.
I'm starting to get quite a little collection of Jo Malone going now and I love it. The bottles are simple buy pure class in my opinion.
The 100ml bottles are much better value as they are $140, however the 30ml bottles are $80. I guess it would just depend on whether or not you could get through the 100ml.

Hey PCC, I've heard so much about Jo Malones fragrances and really want to have some (lol!). Could you recommend a fragrance for a Jo Malone newby to start off with?

Hey PCC, me again. Can you purchase Jo Malone in Melb? I just looked up her website and it only stated David Jones in Sydney as a place to purchase in Austraylia.

Um, just realised that my last question has been answered in this thread, sort of anyway. Is Jo Malone only available in city DJ's stores (in Melb) or all of them, does anyone know?

Hi BPJ,
Yes there is a Jo Malone counter in the David Jones Beauty Hall in Melbourne. As for recommending a fragrance from the collection for you tell me what your favourite fragrances are that you use now. I will be able to match up something from Jo Malone with similar characteristics.

Thanks PCC,
My fav fragrances at the moment (and currently on rotation) are the Musk and Jasmine by Renee, Dior's Dolce Vita and J'adore, Estee Lauder's Pleasures and Chanel's Allure. I look forward to hearing your recommendation! The prospect of a new product, whatever it is, is always v excitement! :clapping:

Hey BPJ,
I would suggest you have a look at the following Jo Malone fragrances. Tuberose. honeysuckle & Jasmin, Red Roses and Vinatge Gardenia. My personal favourite is the French Lime Blossom. This one is quite sweet but totally different to anything I have ever smelled before. You can go and browse the range at www.jomalone.co.uk you will get acurate infomation here as to what ingredients are included and what family each fragrance belongs to. Jo Malone is exclusive to Elizabeth Street Sydney and Bourke Street Melbourne. I am unsure about other states.

Just wanted to add that Jo Malone also has a skin care line and it is hugely popular in the U.K. Jo Malone facials are said to be sublime. I wonder if there will ever be a beauty service offered here in Aus in connection with the Jo Malone range.

Apparently her Vitamin E Gel is the hottest thing around and I just saw an editiorial for the Hand cream in an Aust magazine.
One would hope that they could set up a beauty room with DJ's (like some other companies have) to do these facials. The facials are quite exclusive in the UK so I am sure that there would have to be some serious pre-requisites for it here - dont hold your breath honey!
Found a great article on her that Vogue UK did: (You will find out that she devised the lemon scent for McDonalds moist hand wipes!)

and another which is quite personal:

Well if Jo Malone facials won't come to Australia I will have to go to the U.K. Luckily have some friends living in the U.K and am planning to go and visit later in the year! Harrods here I come!

hey,
Yeah, David Jones in the City - Bourke St store sells Jo Malone. They have almost the entire range there.
You really have to go and try them, and everyone has such different tastes in scent. I started with the Rose spray, and the Gardenia, and I love them both (I couldn't decide between, so got both!!!). I get heaps of comments about the rose as it smells just like a bunch of roses, reminds me of my grandmother and smells so vintage! Oh, and roses are my favourite! I also purchased the Rose bath oil I was so in love with it, and I save it up for a special treat at the end of a day - it really is a beautiful, sensual and luxurious bath oil (no suds and no drying...it's gorgeous!), and I must admit that although it's a rather large bottle, I am a little heavy handed with it!
I love her candles too, beautiful, and the room sprays are also good! Next time I will get the tuberose spray as it smells like winter, all cosy, cuddly and soft smelling.

Have any of you Jo Malone devotees tried Blue Aguava & Cacao? Saw it in a US mag. It has notes of cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla bean, white lily and aguava flower. Sounds amazing. Not sure if it is new?

No, I havent tried it....that I can remember. Tried so many in the store that if it was there it didnt make an impact - and that was just before christmas in dj's melbourne city.
What did they say about it???

Has anyone tried these Body Lotions??? Am not generally a fan of BL's as I forget to use them, but I received the lime basil and mandarin body lotion with my little parcels a few days ago, and I'm loving it!!!:clapping: Smells VERY refreshing, and sinks in and smooths out almost immediately, it's beautiful. And the scent lingers wonderfully!! I'm off to buy the full size, if I can stop myself trying new fragrances!!!!
OH BTW, te reason I can tell is that my normally scaly legs are still soft and smooth after two days!!!
PSS at least if im buying these I can save the emu's (by not buying anymore emu oil....)

Says: "for a sexy and very self-confident person; sultry gourmand and oriental notes; a hedonistic edge and a nod toward youthfulness"
I really want to smell this one, pcc is it availale here?
What are the prices on the Jo Malone fragrances like?

I'm awaiting a set of six Jo Malone samples from ebay (orange blossom, grapefruit, vintage gardenia, amber & lavender, nectarine blossom & honey, and lime mandarin & grapefruit), I'm almost going mad waiting for the mail every day!
I'll render my verdict once they get here...hopefully I'll be able to try them all out before committing to a bottle!

In dj's they sell the 30ml for $80 and the 100mlfor $140. The larger one is much better value, but still somewhat expensive. I bought two of the 30ml because I couldnt decide on just one - I think this is what they count on!!!
Ebay isnt much cheaper with postage etc in my opinion.
FYI: the packaging is stunning though, and keepable!!!

Well my Jo Malone goodies got here today!! Six beautiful little bottles, some better than others, lol! Here are my opinions:
Vintage Gardenia - Gooorrrrrrgeous. Have already ordered my full size bottle.
Nectarine Blossom and Honey - Ditto! Really sweet and fruity but not overbearing. I want the bath oil of this too, because it really smells like something you'd want to bathe in.
Lime Basil and Mandarin - Yuech. I was disappointed because I'd heard a few celebs say that they wore this, but it actually smelled like B.O. on me. Looks like my dog has a new fragrance!
Grapefruit - Very crisp and acidic. It would be lovely layered with something like CK One or a jasmine-based perfume but is a bit plain on its own IMO.
Orange Blossom - Smells JUST like orange blossoms. Again, would be beautiful if layered with something else but is a bit too literal on its own. Having said that, if someone was wearing it I'd probably love to sniff them!
Lavender and Amber - A very very warm masculine fragrance. I can't quite picture a woman wearing this.
I think I'll be spending a bit on my next trip to a "real" department store in a "real" city that actually SELLS Jo Malone! Kudos to her for the packaging - I know us little beauty addicts are suckers for a lovely box with tissue paper.
PCC - I'd LOVE to have a JM facial, it's all I've been thinking about all day!! Do let us know how her cosmetic products have gone for you.

I have the Vintage Gardenia, and I like it too! I'd love to get the nectarineblossom and honey as a bath oil as well now!!;)
The lime basil and mandarin I have as a body lotion, and am loving the invigeration that it gives me, a real wake up!! It doesnt linger too much, so I will be repurchasing this in the lotion - not something I would wear as a perfume either!
I have the ginseng day cream, which is beautifully scented - great to put on just before bed! And it feels quite luxurious on (as do all of her products). I've also been using her green tea eye creme, and a colleague today who just found out my age couldnt believe it and asked if I'd had botox!!:shockedhair: Biggest compliment on her products for me (never thought about botox, and she is only four years older than me!!!):D

Agreed. In my opinion JM scents are way overpriced for their lasting time. I absolutely adore Nectarine Blossom and Honey but I'm lucky if it lasts over an hour. French Lime Blossom has a similarly short life on me. For the $130+ price, you would think a fragrance would last longer than that......
