Hi, I am 46 yo and am getting a little bit confused about my skincare routine. Do I still need to use a moisturiser on top of all my anti-ageing treatments? My current routine is: After cleansing, I apply eye cream then an anti-wrinkle cream and then a lifting cream. I have been using a moisturiser on top of all this but do I really need to? It all takes so long to do! Also, after applying each treatment do I need to wait for each one to 'sink in' or can I just put the next one straight on?:redcheeks:
Are the other treatments more like serums? I would say yes you still need a moisturiser if so...
Also, I think you're meant to let things sink in, but I have to admit I am a bit naughty with that! :redcheeks::chuckle:

How does your skin feel after your treatments are applied? If it feels soft and moist then the job is probabley being done. If it feels a little tight then I would moisturise to keep it soft.
I try to find something to do inbetween serum and moisture, like tidy or put away or straighen towels, anything to keep me entertained because I remember reading on this forum to allow time between them.

Yeah it would depend what the anti aging treatments are like. Are they serums? A dry/silky cream? I personaly would still put moisturiser over but it would depend how my face felt. If it fells moistened enough I probably wouldn't bother.

Thank you all for your replies. Looks like I will have to continue using moisturiser. It all just takes so long! I have always spent as little time as possible in the bathroom - probably why I need the anti-ageing treatments now!:(

It all depends on the specific products and how they are best recommended.
Generally a serum is applied followed by a moisturiser and of course sun screen for day time!
Every product line is a touch different and it all depends on ingredients.
If I know the range I may be able to assist there, ideally the therapist who recommended them should explain in detail (if they are salon or counter brands).
A lot of moisturisers do have age delaying ingredients these days... again depending on the brand and product so you wouldn't need to double moisturise...
