You don't often see it but maybe you should. Hairdressers deal with water, chemicals and coffee machines all day and their hands take a beating, as one young apprentice discovered when contact dermatitis flared. He now washes heads with disposable gloves firmly in place.

I'm being lazy tonight, this is what I said on the blog:

I wear gloves at work to wash the glasses (bar attendant) otherwise my hands look awful.

I also use sunscreen on my hands year round. I've been doing it so long it's habit.

I also wear gloves to handwash delicates, and when peeling vegies. I am a wuss!!

I do all these things in an attempt to keep my nails from flaking and splitting, and my exczema from flaring up. If there is water involved (bathing is the exception) there are gloves involved.And you won't catch me near a potato without gloves, the starch is instant exczema.
