Hello Everyone
New to all this and was advised on the skin care forum to post here to get some really needed help. I'm 43 (well the end of the month) and have always suffered with my skin been on roaccutane 3 times but still getting bad breakouts. I think I've been trying too many different products and made things really bad.
In the morning I use cetaphil cleanser, witch hazel and neutrogena oil free moisture and at night neutrogena skinclearing blackhead cleanser, witch hazel and neutrogena oil free moisture. I have also tried the oil cleansing method which I read about on another forum. I used caster oil and almond oil but this made my skin worse!! I also steam and use face packs 2/3 times a week. I have so much congestion under the skin and blackheads everywhere please help as my self confidence is at an all time low :shakehead:
Many thanks xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi there,
are you still on roaccutane??
Have you had hormones checked at all to pehaps ensure you are dealing with it from the inside out also?
I can certainly make suggestions and put together a clearing program, I just need to check on that medication first.

Hi Lady Allison
I have not been on roaccutane for a few years now as having been on it 3 times and the problems still coming back I do not wish to go down that route again. I have had blood tests done in UK and hormones are fine so they say. I am not on any other medication.
I am very interesting in hearing what you think would be suitable for me to help with this on going problem. Do you think taking anything would also help?
Many thanks xx

Hi there,
here is an intensive clearing program. Being that you are not on roaccuane it means I can recommend more freely as there are a few ingredients you must avoid when you are on the medication.
Am
Cleanse morning and night with ultraceuticals gentle cleansing gel: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=1821
Follow with the ultra c sheer cream: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=4734
Leaves a matte finish and helps to clear.
And on top apply the ultra c eye cream: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewItem.asp?idproduct=10458
Excellent for fine line prevention! Use once a day for the first three weeks then both AM and PM
And follow with the becca primer SPF30+: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=11020
This is so light for a sunscreen! Great for oily skin prone to acne and it’s a primer too!
PM
Cleanse as above
Apply the even skintone serum: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=1829
Start every second-third night and then build up to every night. AHA and BHA combo for clearing blocked pores and exfoliation.
Follow with the ultraceuticals ultra a treatment cream- sheer: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=10699
Super light- excellent for break outs and fine lines
Apply eye cream
Twice a week I would like to see you exfoliating with the MD formulations scrub with glycolic: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewItem.asp?idproduct=3881
Good for clearing and preventing black heads!
You will find the 15% glycolic mask in the alpha h range excellent as a weekly treatment, I find it works to clear while keeping the skin hydrated: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=383
Skip this for the first two weeks so we don’t over load your skin.
The vitamin C and A that I included in your routine will deal with the break outs as well as uneven skin tone! A fantastic combo for results. Give your skin some time to adjust to the new routine, results will be gradually visible over the course of a few months. Eventually I would like to introduce a variation on this routine- a slightly stronger product to get even more results… drop me a line in a month and we can look at it then.
As for taking anything I would suggest consulting with a good homeopath to make sure things are balanced and supported from within also.
Let me know if you have any questions and I can usually respond within the week.

Thank you so much for all your help and recommendations. I will be hitting the website to make my order of the products you recommend. I will let you know how it goes and look forward to (hopefully) seeing improvements in my skin and boost to my self confidence.
Once again many thanks for taking the time to help people like myself. xxx :hugs:
