I just stumbled across this website www.boxvoyage.com
The idea is that you can order from US websites who don't ship to Aus and then boxvoyage will ship it across. I think its a great idea although I have never tried it. I would be interested to know if anyone has or would think about using this service. I'm always drooling over the Sephora site so I might just give it a go some day.
What does everyone else think?

Yeah there are a few sites that do this. I think it works out pretty expensive unless you plan to do it often as there are all these membership fees etc.

There is no membership for boxvoyage, I think its run by ex-aussies. They got married in Sydney the website says. The one feature I thought looked good was they will wait for more than package before sending, so you could have a spend up as a once off and its gets shipped all at once. I think it would be quite costly though. Good if you are desperate for something I guess.

Aren't we all desperate for Sephora? Curse their no international shipping policy!
Wish I had mates in the states.

Me too, you would think they could do international. How hard could it be?

Most of their suppliers would have international distributions agreements that would prevent them from shipping outside the USA. So it's not about the actual postage.

I think it's the sort of thing best for items that you can't get here at all.

Sephora, when are we getting one in Aus? I like the cult brands that aren't so mainstream.
I wish I had my current beauty obsession when I was in France. I really didn't appreciate Sephora enough!

I have a Access USA account. It gives me an address in the States that I have stuff shipped to. Cost wise:
Membership $60pa (or $7 per month); Postage - often based on a size postage Plus for wach shipment you need an $8 customs invoice. An example - I had 3 pair of shoes and 3 golf clubs shipped for about $70. Dear - yes, but when the purchase price is so cheap, it makes it fairly attractive. You can also hold your shipment until everythign that you want shipped has been received by them so that it all comes in one parcel to you (ie 1 customs charge).
I just wish I had more money to spend ;)
