Hi, im 21 almost 22 years old, and my skin has been terrible beyond words for a bit over a year now.. i had bad skin around 11years of age and lasted a year or 2 but it went away, and i only had a few scars on my cheeks from the acne.. but just since before i turned 21 my t zone has lost control.

basically, i have very sensitive skin. i tried a Clarins moisturizer once, and i ended up with tiny puss bumps all over my forehead... of course i decided to pop them all... they got infected, stayed for a year and scared, and come back often.. i have them now... then. my chin... blackheads, painful blind pimples, that have turned into sores.. its like, it gets infected and heals around the pore, but doesn't quite heal fully because that seed is still in my skin. at the moment my skin has visible black heads around the nose and just on the skin under my eyes closer to the top of my nose (the really soft sensitive bit), my forehead as i mentioned has sores and bumps, and my chin looks like a mine field.. yet my cheeks are fine. ... i have tried SO many cremes ... my doctor put me on doxycyline.. but nothing.. ive been a vegetarian for about a year as well.. no meat/fish at all...

my question is, does anyone else have the same problem, and how did they treat it? my routine atm is, neutrogina cleansing wipes to get my makeup off (clinique almost there and maybeline green stick concealer). then, nivea sensitive skin cleansing gel, then ive been using natio spf30 moisturizer for men, i stole it from my bf, but it feels the nicest on.. i dont know if its contributing to my bad skin tho... i brought clean and clear moisturizer, but my tzone was dry and flaky afterwards, but im scared to keep using it in case my it l irritates me, i did a patch test on my arm tonight.... ive been looking online at dermatologica... but what about thalgo? help im so lost, and i have no budget!

please help me guys!

Hi Mel,

firstly do you know which ingredients in particular have tended to cause a reaction at all? Have you used anything with AHA in it before? I am just wanting to be cautious at first before I recommend some harder acting ingredients.

I am away until next week and I can add to the routine then but for now here are a couple of things that should sit in the safe zone to get you started

AM
cleanse with triple action cleanser:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=390

then the ultra hydrating gel : http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=4976
this will hydrate while not feeling greasy.

The Becca primer is fantistic as it's light and it's soothing because of its zinc base but also has an SPF 30+- essential for protection and to prevent pigmentation which can easily happen with healing spots exposed to sun!: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adoreb...dproduct=11020

PM
cleanser then the skinceuticals phyto corrective gel to add hydration and to calm aggravated skin while balancing oil :http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adoreb...idproduct=4355

then the ultra hydrating gel.

Let's fill in the gaps next week!

clean & clear is quite 'harsh' , i wouldn't be using it if u r sensitive , were the neutrogena wipes medicated as well ?
