Hi,
I have been thinking about starting to do this for the alleged benefits in removing toxins, helping with dry skin exfoliation and general skin toning.
Does anyone here do it or have you done it in the past?
What brush did you use and where did you get it from?
What, if any, benefits did you notice?

Gilly there have been some threads on this before.
I personally have done it in the past and it made my body detoxify so much that I started to breakout on my legs really bad. That was just due to all the crap in my body. It was pretty wack.
I want to get back into it. I can't remember where I got my brush from but it was a natural bristle one.

Blimey! toxin city :chuckle:
How long did you do it for before you noticed the detox?
I think the Body Shop does a good brush, not too hard or scratchy ( i am a wimp!):redcheeks:
Did you follow a routine or did you just do it randomly?
Sorry for all the questions :redcheeks:

Nah I did pretty well actually. Maybe like once a day (most days) for like a month?? But yeah, all the toxins started to come out and I got freaked so I stopped :chuckle:

I have been doing it for 2 days now and I must say I don't think my brush is hard enough! I have lots of little bumps under my skin from waxing and I thougt this would help to get rid of them but I just seem to have bumps with dry bits on top of them :shakehead:
Also when I am brushing I don't get any pinkness at all on my belly, this is a seriously fat area, but is it just the fat stopping the "circulation" or should I get a firmer brush?
Or am I expecting too much too soon? :chuckle:

When I dry body brush, I try to do it a few times a week. Sadly in my case, I never keep going after the first week. Not because it doesn't work, it's because I get lazy.
I use two brushes from the Body Shop. The cactus brush and the pink synthetic brush (I use this one on my chest). Both great brushes. I want to get the one from Perfect Potion - you can remove the head on it.
I always notice my skin looks and feel smoother. Looks firmer as well.
I do it before I go in the shower - it's a great wake-up call. Nice and ivogorating :)

:waving: I do it most mornings before my shower and in the shower I use a puff ball, to keep down the ingrown hairs from waxing. It definately helps and I think saves me money on body exfoliators. I don't know about the detox, I haven't had any obvious results. I got my brush from e-bay.
I try to do it when I remember or have the time. It's harder in Winter as I just want to go straight into the warm shower/bath rather than standing in the cold dry brushing!
