View Full Version : What are you going to do/ did you do on the weekend?
Okay I am starting a new 'weekend' thread as we have a what did you do today thread, but I didn't do all this stuff today :chuckle:
I don't want to get in trouble for rambleing in other threads either :whipcrack:
SO! On Friday S had to work late- so I went to where he was and thankfully he didn't take too long to finish up what he was doing because I was really annoyed that we couldn't leave straight after work. We headed off at about 7pm and got KFC on the way to the Blue Mountains.
We arrived at about 9pm and S got to lighting the fire while I tried to fill the jacuzi. The problem with that was that the water pressure was SO weak and by mid-night it still hadn't filled. So we left it half full and went to bed.
In the morning we woke up and went to Leura for brunch. I had delicious French Toast and Bacon with Maple Syrup. It was so yummy. I dragged S around the shops and I bought some candles. This shop in Leura called Moontree was seriously the COOLEST candle shop I've ever been to- it's spread over 3 floors and is very atmospheric.
We made our way back to the cottage and started to fiill the jacuzi again- then we had to heat it, which took another 2 hours- so FINALLY we got in and stayed they for a few hours... ahem.
I then showered, washed my hair, prettied upand went to dinner at the restaurant owned by the same people that owned the cottage. OH MY GOD. I can't recommend this place enough. S even liked it, and that's saying something-he is very fussy. I had white chocolate creme brulee for desert and it wasTDF. Seriously I can die now as I have eaten the yummiest thing ever in the world. The place is called the St Mounts Trattoria in Blackheath- go there!!
Then we stumbled back home to watch Pirates of the Carribean on TV, but I fell asleep. Maybe because of the Chandon that S bought me :hearts:
We woke up this morning and jumped in the spa again, packed up went to have a really expensive and disappointing lunch and then came home and S went off to work again.
Altogether it was an excellent anniversary weekend and I am sad that I am back on my couch. Ohh well.
Ohh, I also had the little 'talk' with S. I told him that I would probably never be able to have babies anyway- but I would like to try. He said he understands and he thinks he can deal with that :clapping: Ahhhh, happy again!

Yeah, that was the good thing...that the heating action was not attached to the tap. You put cold water in and then it heated up seperately. So it stayed warm for as long as you wanted. Was awesome once it got going.

Mmmm the creme brulee sounded lovley VeeE!
My weekend mostly consisted of gigs. My bf played at the arthouse on the weekend. Best gig I've been to in a while. Although I was highly wasted so ya know.
And Saturday was awesome too. At like 12.30/1am one of my favorite Melbourne bands played under this bridge in Clifton Hill. It was awesome. They ran some lights and their gear through a generator and played their last show! It was fantastic. No cops showed up or anything. Usually with "illegal" shows like that they get busted pretty quick but nothing happened. We all managed to hear some great music and just have a good time with no one to ruin it.

me: worked both Saturday and Sunday. It rained all weekend (i LOVE the sound of rain, but its frustrating when you've got to go out!) - nothing stands out for the weekend. Oh, Mum and I had a big talk about me moving (finances, health etc) and she wants to take me shopping for clothes (a black cardigan, a couple of tops - for interviews etc)

Yes the Bf thing is coming along very nicely, i think the reason it has worked so well so far is because we don't really see each other during the week and then on weekends we are both busy doing our own things for most of it and also because we both like to have a laugh. :glee::glee::glee:

I worked Sat morning then came home & cleaned the shed out. I don't know what I was thinking?
Sun we went into town to see some exhibitions, The Moran Portait Prize at the State Library (very good) and the Archibald etc at the State Gallery. They are just a stroll across the park from each other and it was a nice day :spin: I packed lunch so we had a picnic in the park, the kids got to run around & we laughed at the old men on their soapboxes. The gallery had some great activities on to keep the kids interested. An Indian dance performance and later interactive storytelling which was a bit like theatre sports and was indeed quite hysterical. It was run by 2 actors from "Thank God You're Here". They were very good. :clapping: Kids fell asleep in the car on the way home, which is always nice.

On Saturday I have to go to Melbourne for lunch. It's my MILs 70th birthday and we are going to some all you can eat joint (oh joy, I can't wait :explode:). I have managed to convince all and sundry that we need to come home after lunch (even though it is a 3 1/2 hour drive) otherwise we would have to go the in laws place and watch the footy (too loudly) and not speak because the footy is the world.... Can you tell I don't want to go.
Oh yeah and...my sister-in-laws (2 of) cannot organise a thing for a gift for her. It's mother's day too. They thought they might give her a bunch of flowers (between them). They both come from double income families. I really shouldn't be b!tchy about it. It just annoys me so much to think that people are so selfish. :shakehead:

I am going to a ball tomorrow night!:penguin:
It is our annual ball for around 300 at the Grand Hyatt. This year's theme is Moulin Rouge. I am going as a ring-master. Have a gorgeous bright red sequened top hat and am hiring tails tomorrow. Will wear it with a slinky top and long black swishy skirt. Think I need to drag out the red OPI to match!

Its classy
Im thinking...dark denim jeans, black country road top that sort of balloons a little at the waist (good to disguise my bloated stomach), grey long coat and red heels

TMI SPOILER----
I am having a visit from Aunt Flo for the first time in over two years and the cramps are gawdawful, so I intend to sit on the sofa with a pot of tea and the footy on the tube and my laptop and maybe play some World of Warcraft. It is nasty rainy here anyway.
That is all.

a 39 is about a 9 but as they're a pointy and depending how wide your foot is, could be a tightish fit.
