I am 23 and until recently have had no problems with my skinI have a 9mth old baby and have been on medication for post natal depression. My skin has started to get lots of dry spots, as well as pimples around my chin, nose and forehead. Overall my skin feels very dehydrated and I am in need of a simple and affordable program that will clear up my problem spots and give my skin some life. Until now I have used a foaming facial wash morning and night, followed by a moisturiser and I exfoliate and do a mask weekly.
As I am a mum it needs to be time effective as well as cost effective and I have no idea where to start, please help!

Hi :waving: Scrap the foaming cleanser, it's drying. I have dry skin, ane I confess, I use one in summer, because I find it strips off the ick easier than creams, but that's it (I work in a takeaway shop, and my skin reflects that).
I am sure that some of our resident experts will have some great suggestions.

Hi Roxy! I agree with Rosie. I have combo skin and thought I should only use a foaming cleanser. How wrong I was. Couldn't figure out why my skin was dry but still producing pimples. Turns out the cleanser was stripping all the good stuff that kept things balanced.
Maybe switch to a milky or cream cleanser with gentle exfoliating ingredients (like AHAs or BHAs).
Allison is the expert though, she'll be able to give you some excellent advice and recommendations.

Hi Roxy,
It sounds like the new medication is contributing to the skin changes there but let's make sure what you are doing with you skin makes you feel good and your skin feel nice and hydrated and clear.
I am going to go super simple here to keep it affordable:
Cleanse with ultraceuticals ultra milk cleanser:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=1826
milky but lathers a touch.
follow with ultra A treatment cream:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewItem.asp?idproduct=1832
clears and hydrates and is age preventative.
(skip this step just for the first two weeks)
Follow with the ultra protector SPF30+:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewItem.asp?idproduct=1831
PM
cleanse as above
follow with ultra a treatment cream.
we are starting you on this once a day to begin with so your skin gets used to the active ingredient
I would suggest an eye cream both morning and night time. Let me know if you need a recommendation for that!

I have been using the products for a week now and they feel great. I've been using ella bache lubricating eye cream, is this a good eye cream?

I'm sorry I've not used Ella Bache at all...
I am glad to hear that everything feels good right now.
dont' be too stressed if your skin feels out of sorts in the first month as it adjusts
