t’s a make or break world out there and any courageous gal who has owned a hair crimper in her time knows that the big bad urban Amazon ain’t the place for trial and error in the fashion and beauty stakes unless you are oozing confidence like a juicy tube lip gloss.
Many times I’ve ogled a magazine thinking how awesome I’d be if I just had that something-something. A new look, however, does not come with the guarantee of aesthetic success and for most of us, flirting with a new façade is a sort of our odd way of working out who we are and where we stand as a physical window display of all the goodies that lay inside.
As I flick through my favorite subscription, my little friend the grey hound is suggestively staring out at me with smoky doe eyes in all her glossy mag glory. I sit in awe for a bit and after weighing up the potential of this photographic magnificence I soon realize that her get up, that seems to have all the promise of awesomeness, may not look quite as grand on my humble..
