I like the buy your own lipstick advice. I always tell Brides to buy their own, but they usually end up stealing one of mine! :chuckle:

I just tried to give the article 5 stars but only 2 come up! Stupid me!

Anyhow Check, check and check! I will be following all the advice in that article. My make-up Artist is still a mystery. I have three excellent makeup artists who want to do it so will have to mke the big decision soon I guess. Those who attended the adorables weekend may spot a familiar face at the wedding. Nuff said!

Intriguing you two!

I think the tips are excellent. Also, I reckon the MUA should do the trial outside or in natural light so the bride has a good sense of how it will look on the day.

I will be wearing bright pink lippie on my big day though, a big no! He he.

Keep the tips coming though y'all, I have my bridal assessment at make up school in a couple of weeks!

Which lippie are you going to wear?? Pink looks awesome on you so I think it's only right that you go pink!

I think the M.A.C Heatherette lipstick in Hollywood Nights (should be called Las Vegas nights), with the matching lip glass.

And thanks!

Hey, got any tips for dealing with bridezillas? Would love your advice!

Hahahahaha. I had one bride who wanted to sleep in and she wouldn't come out of her bedroom! She came out about an hour before she had to leave. All you can do is laugh it off with the family! I haven't experienced any grumpy bitchy brides yet. I think most Aussie brides are pretty happy on their wedding day.

Excellent, that bodes well...

Maybe I'm watching too much Foxtel and getting scared of the uber-bridezilla!

Yeah brides are mostly fine, but RBB, I tell you- Beware the Bridesmaid!

Oh yes Vee. Sometimes you would think it was the bridesmaid day with all their fussiness and pain in the butt complaining. I feel sorry for the bride sometimes as she is not nearly half as fussy as some of her "maids." And that is exactly what they are maids- get over yourself and just help the bride by not complaining and be happy!!!!Your day will come.

Yes I had one BM (from the same wedding as the sleepy bride) who saw one of the other BM's with her make-up done. She said she wanted her make-up to look just like that. I explained to her that it was a very strong smokey eye and while it suited that girl (italian, dark olive skin, dark hair and eyebrows) it might not suit her (blonde, blue eyes, translucent white skin). I said I could do a similar look, but with browns and bronzes and it would look nicer on her. She said no, she wanted to look just like the other girl. So against my better judgment I gave her a black smokey eye. It wasn't nearly as dark as the other girl- it would have looked SO dumb, so I made it less severe without telling her.
Anyway- I give her the mirror after and she freaks out that it's too dark  You just can't win with some people!

Goshlings! There is no way I will be being a bridezilla! My maids won't either. Of course I hope to look nice which is why I will have several trials before hand.

Although my bestie would wear her R.M WIlliams boots if she could, :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

I'll never forget my wedding make up trial , i didn't want to do my own nor did my maid of honor [also a MUA] & i didn't want a counter girl , i wanted a freelancer but as we were not near where i live , i was having trouble , anyway the h/dresser said they have someone they use , so i went ahead .....................

well this girl had done a 6 week course [yes no big deal but she didn't have that WOW factor] at the end of my trial i had , wrong type of foundation for my skin type , not enough concealing , no contouring & YELLOW eyeshadow with thick BLACK kohl pencil around my entire eye , not a good wedding look & not the browns i had asked for :shakehead::chuckle:

all worked out on the day except my M/O had to re-do a bit of hers
