Can anyone PLEASE recommend some products that will help with dry, damaged frizz prone long hair.

My hair is highlighted Blonde, so a product to help with brassiness would also be great.

Any advice at this point would be most appreciated as I have tried so many shampoo & conditioning products some recommended by hairdressers that just didnt work on my hair. And I am tired of wasting $$$$

Cheers.

I can reccommend John Freida Beach Blonde spray. I really calms down frizziness but won't weigh your hair down- and it smells dreamy!

Also make sure you get a trim every 6-8 weeks. This is really the only way to remove current damage and prevent more from occuring!

I've heard good things about Schwarzkopf's Oil-nutritive shampoo, conditioner, and repair butter. All very reasonably priced and suitable for dry, curly, frizzy, damaged hair.

For products that help with braziness, Bumble and Bumble from Mecca Cosmetica are a good range and they have shampoos, etc., for all different kinds of colour and hair types.

I can recommend the Tigi Curls Rock shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner and curl booster. I rate all those highly when it comes to taming and moisturising curls!

Frizzy what have you previously tried and not liked? (So we don't recommend something you have already tried).

Also, how long is your hair (long hair is harder to control in terms of damage and frizz) and do you straighten or blow dry every day?

I would suggest you use something like Terax Crema as shampoo and conditioner - these products have made such a huge difference to my long hair. I also highly recommend you buy a leave in conditioner which will smooth the hair but also protect it.

The first thing I would recommend you do is clean off your hair thouroughly, chances are that if you have been using lots of different conditioners etc you have got a lot of silicones on your hair, some get washed out but a lot just hang on!
If you don't want to buy yet another shampoo just add a tsp of baking soda to your shampoo, make sure its as plain a shampoo as possible, mix them together in your hands and work through your wet hair as normal, make sure that you really work it through to the ends well, (this was my problem for years, I always struggled with dry ratty ends that just felt like they should be cut every few weeks, since doing this once a fortnight I have had no problems and have not needed a hair cut since August last year as my ends are fine!) this will get all the stuff off your hair so things will work as they should.
You may have to wash twice with a baking soda mix each time but you will feel a difference, rinse it really well and apply a deep conditioner (Terax is brilliant!) leave it on for at least half an hour then rinse.
You will be shocked at how soft and smooth your hair will be feeling :glee:
I have told many people about this and it has helped loads! :champagne:

I should mention that baking soda is also know as Bicarbonate of soda, DON'T use Baking powder!!!
