Hey All.

Tomorrow might I am going to a 50s Rock 'n' Roll themed party. I have my outfit sorted, a pink satin skirt, with a black poodle on the front and a black kiniites sweater with flat black Mary Jane style shoes and white ankle socks... have made scarves for my hair and to wear around my neck. Problem is, I have no idea about how to do my makeup!!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :waving:

Hey Angela - sounds like heaps of fun!

The 1950s is my absolute favourite era. I have a cupboard crammed full of New Look and wiggle dresses, but alas, nowhere to wear them!

For make up to suit your outfit (more good girl than bad girl, by the sounds of things) I suggest:
- Medium coverage foundation and set with powder
- Groomed brows, slightly arched
- A matte neutral wash of eyeshadow across the lid
- Thickish liner across the top only
- Either a half set of false lashes or a few individuals at the corner, if you're comfortable applying them; then mascara
- A rosy flush on the cheeks; more on the apple
- Well defined matte lips (make sure you line first) in a bright colour. Maybe a fuschia pink or a red-pink.
