The flapper era of the Twenties where Clara Bow and Louise Brooks dominated the silent screen in moody black and white glory meant brows were plucked into a fine long shape to be fashionable.
This shape morphed into an extended semi circle in the thirties when Jean Harlow and Greta Garbo were the salient divas of the time. ‘Thirties’ brows were plucked into thin arches or shaved off entirely and...

loola, Laura Mercier's new Brow Definer is a pretty cool wax type thing. Bit of colour, bit of control.

I get my eye brows shaped/waxed almost every 3 to 4 weeks. I am particularly anal about this! I have to have really good eyes brows, this is often one of the first things I notice about a person and I always make an effort in this regard!

My beautician is good, but the real reason I go, is her skill with my eyebrows. I'm not confident and I love the way she does them.

I don't normally wax my eyebrows. I got them waxed once and have just plucked them lightly since. I'm not sure about their shape, but I would like them to be darker. I'm a bit shy of eyebrow pencils though, I'm always afraid they'll make my eyebrows look painted on and silly!

I could use a good shaping too, have never had it done professionally. I'm hopeless with eyebrows.
M.A.C has a good coloured eyebrow wax.

I have used Smashbox Brow Tech for nearly 2 years and really love it. The Brow Brush makes application a cinch.

I buy from Priceline an eyebrow dye kit, comes in (I think) 3 shades. Pretty simple to mix up in the bowl provided with the packaging, after mixing it is quite a thick cream so quite safe when used with care and the box lasts me over a year.

I know a woman whose brows are tattooed on - long thin almost straight lines above where her actual brows sit. Her natural brows are waxed away weekly. Let us call that look interesting............
