How far are you prepared to fake it? Seems a lot of women are turning to outside help to ''enhance'' their features and looks if the international beauty expo in Melbourne last weekend was any indication. Every second exhibit was devoted to the artificial, or so it seemed.

The responses to that blog are pretty interesting! I am torn... I think it's ok to make an effort if you want to enhance your features, and if you genuinely get joy from doing stuff... but I also see why people think it's fake and I must admit, I get SO SICK of fake tanning and trying to look browner/thinner than I really am gets very tiring. Perhaps why I appreciate winter so much???

I dunno, I don't fake tan, I used to get acrylic nails but stopped as they were too much hard work (and too many $$). I've even stopped colouring my hair! :shockedhair:

I'm very similar Rosie. I don't fake tan, I never have and never will have acrylic nails and I'm growing out my hair for the length but also so I can get rid of this permanent dye, so I can have my natural colour back.
I am very low maintenace but like to think/hope that even though I don't follow trends of having a tan, etc I am still attractive.
I like natural beauty in myself and others, I have never liked the 'fake' lor dolled up ook.

I love getting 'dolled up' but I also like a natural look. Make up and skin care should be fun, and versatile, both to suit the wearer and the wearer's outlook/values/ethics. Whatever floats your boat, I say.

However, they will be prying false eyelashes and blush out of my cold dead hands :chuckle:

I'd like to add that there is nothing wrong with wearing a face full of makeup (I do when i go out) but to me it has to suit you and play up your natural features - not change you entirely!
