Hi,
I am so pleased!
I have bought a car so I can stop having to take hubby to work for 6am, come home, then go back to the same place for 9am when I start!
Its a Toyota Echo and its a lovely pinky metallic, apparently the actual name of the colour is Spice, I love it!!
Its really nice to have some independence again after 2 years of either walking everywhere or having to juggle when I can have the Holden which of course involved getting up at 5am to get hubby to work!!
We have wanted to get another car for ages but have not been able to afford it, but now I am working its not a problem. YAY!!! :glee::champagne::glee:

Very exciting Gilly! It's such a good feeling to be free to go wherever you want, whenever you want.

Awesome Gilly! :clapping:
I wish I had a new car... mine is a hunk of junk. But it's so reliable that I can't justify ditching it for a new one.

1991 Holden Apollo. It's permanently grubby and has a big dent in the boot (which I did not put there - *cough*James*cough*) and no hubcaps.

Last month J smashed up my beautiful 4wd dodging a Kangaroo (or so he says:rolleyes:) late at night on his way back from Hobart. Of course no one was with him to varify his story. Over 18 thousand dollars worth of damage (and it really wasn't much damage to the naked eye) later and a trip to the body works I have my car back!!

Must have been a big roo!
They can do massive damage though, even to big cars.

Well the story is that he smashed the car avoiding hitting the roo! He took the car down into a ditch and then swiped a tree in the process. Air bags went off, alloy wheels damaged and several panels needed fixing and re-baking with specialised paint!
Oh my gosh! At least he is okay though, worse things can happen in the dark trying to not hit animals. :hugs:

He is fine, walked away without a scratch but with some very bruised pride! :chuckle::chuckle:
