Do you not like curves? I go to quite an old gym in SA and I was wondering what it was like.

I do like Curves alot i think its a great gym, really gets you involved. I just think i would work harder at a gym where i can just get on the treadmill or bike for 20 minutes or such. I am 17 and although Curves is good for all ages i think its a bit better for girls older than myself.
You chose how hard you work on the machines at curves and i sometimes find myself bludging a bit, where as at a normal gym its harder to bludge which is what i need! :chuckle:

Hey =) thanks for that. i did look up that website and have had a look at the leisure centre, it does look very good and im considering it its just too far to walk from the station and i dont have my Ps yet! & also it is rather expensive.

Yeah Curves is pretty cheap compared to a lot of the gyms in my area. I agree that the cardio at Curves is not that hard, which is why I play netball as well as working out.

i found that it is easy not to work hard in the cardio / weights area of a normal gym as well , classes r good for motivation though
there used to be a gym at Carlton , Col Jones or something , not sure if that is too far up the line for u , or even if it is still there , i think curves is a cheaper gym

Well, im still abit unsure of wether i want to stay at curves but i think i will.
The other night one of the Curves Staff Girls made it a good work out by giving us a different aerobics move on every recovery board, it made me work really hard & felt like i was working out.
I now do these moves on my own on the recovery boards & feel it is a much better work out.
Curves is very cheap compared to other gyms, one reason i will stay.
Fernwood does look good but i think it is expensive too.

I only pay 30$ a fortnight, I think that's pretty cheap!
Mine is the cheapest you'll ever find! $20 a month! :clapping: It is the Hastings Gym (Victoria). I'll be using it when I live with the boy for 6months.

They don't do special rates, they do rates depending on what you want, so if you wanted PT and food help you'd pay more.
