I am quitetly confident should I experience "a weekend as a male", it would feel as foreign to me as his "weekend as a female". I am not surprised by this articule, but am amused reading his dissection of "beauty".
Just love the Bloggers name " Lipstick is my Crack ". :chuckle:

He makes a point though about the industry being wrapped up in what you 'must have now' and products that cost a fortune, when there are so many people in need and have nothing. But I guess thats like everything... *sigh*

I think he has a point about the industry.
I think he is off base with what it's all about though. Is he telling us that men aren't capable of vanity? They are, and it would be just as foreign to us as women's stuff is to them.
I wear makeup because I like the pretty colours, and the artistic side of it. Anyone who knows me knows I don't care how people think of me based on appearance - the only person whose opinion on that I care about is mine - if I think I look bad, then that's it - I feel bad.
I use skincare because it makes me feel good - my skin feels soft and hydrated. I know wrinkles will come, and that's OK. I may scream every time I see a new one, but a lot of guys I know do the same when their bald spot gets bigger.
