James & I went to see this last night at the Princess Theatre (the tix were my Christmas present from my dad). Meh... not very impressed. Marina Prior was amazing - and in incredible shape for her age - and Lisa McCune and Shane Jacobson were really good too... but Garry McDonald seemed miscast and Ian Stenlake had no charisma at all. Bit disappointing really :(

My Mum and Dad are going to see this on the weekend Kate!
Priscilla was fantastic so glad I went to that instead by the sounds of it.
Ever since you posted this thread Kate, I have got the song in my head! :chuckle:

Oh how disappointing! I saw Guys and Dolls when I was 9 and LOVED it! I also saw Gary McDonald as Fain in Oliver Twist when I was little which he was just perfect for. I might see if I can get cheap tickets even though you felt it wasn't the best, just cause I've always wanted to see it again.

Yep - both of them and how they were friends and what happened prior to Dorothy coming on the scene.

I can't wait to see Wicked either. I like the whole idea of the witches being the center of the play.
