Hi Mars,
I need to know more about your skin. Can you describe the rosacea and the pigmentation- what it looks like and where?
what have you been doing to care for your skin so far- can you let me know your routine?
any other concerns that I need to be aware of also?
:glee:
:typing: Hi , Thankyou for your reply. Well were do I start, I have slight rosy cheeks, and a red nose. I have been told its not pigmentation. My skin is in otherwise good condition. Its not oily or dry. I have just been using Olay to moisturise, and noticed lately my face has been on the dry side. To cleanse , I use an all in one cleanser / toner, (Nutrimetics). To cover my red cheeks/ nose, I use foundation everyday, with concealer. The best that's worked for me is the Cover Stay by Revlon. I'm thinking long term it will not do justice to my face. I'm in my late 30's, and want to continue looking after my skin. Do you have any suggestions, because there are SOOOOO many brands/products out there, I don't have a clue where to start. I don't mind spending the money, as long as it works. Any ideas would be great. Sorry for the long story. :waving: Mars

So it sounds like you have some burst capillaries from the rosacea and you've has a very simple routine so far.
You didn't really mention flushing or irritation, just the redness? It's helpful to know if there's been any irritation.
When it comes to the redness I can help to control any flushing if it's there but the capillaries will need laser if you want to remove them.
It's also really important to be using a sunscreen daily to prevent the caplillary damage from worsening.
I have some ideas but i want to know if you get flushing and when this happens... just a bit more info and I can fine tune what I have in mind...

:clapping: Hello, and thank you for your reply. I don't get any flushing or irritation. My skin is in good condition, I'm not keen on laser at this stage. I do use a sunscreen on my face especially in summer, as I do tan quickly. I was hoping that there's a magic serum to calm the redness and a make up to hide it for day time. Thank you again:waving:

hmmmmm I wish I could give you a capillary miracle.
You mentioned rosacea but flushing is a very common part of it and from your brief messages it sounds like it may just be a case of capillary damage.
I can definitely recommend a routine to keep the skin looking calm and free from irritation that makes the redness appear worse. I can also introduce some vitamin c into your routine to ensure you skin is strong and it too helps with redness and irritation.
you didn't say you had any other skin concerns or issues such as oil or dryness or fine lines so I can assume you are maybe in your twenties and have normal skin then? I will base the routine around normal skin for now.
I can also recommend some make up for coverage- let me know your preferences with texture and what you do and don't like and I can definitely recommend coverage products.
here is a good strenthening/ anti-redness routine.
AM

:chuckle: Thank you so much for your great advice. I will have to check out all of the products you mentioned. I'm actually in my late 30's , and my skin is actually in good condition - normal, apart from the redness. I'm sure the fine lines will start to appear any time. But I'm quite happy overall. I have just started to us I.D Bare Minerals make up - Its fantastic. I also use a Napolean Concealer, followed by the I.D Minerals, the coverage is o.k for now. Again thank you. :waving:
