I get asked: What's a good skin care product? a lot. It's a kind of insane question, as everyone's skin is different and has different needs, but I have found myself, for the sake of simplicity, advising Aesop B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel lately, which smells and feels a little, uh, strange, but which my skin is very very much enjoying. (Of course, you need sunscreen on top or in your tinted moisturiser afterwards.) Aesop, a Melbourne based brand,...

Oh how I am loving Aesop :hearts:
I got a sample of the parsely seed mask (http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=9319) in my last order and it is LOVELY!! I remember fawning over the stuff from the years ago but just couldn't affford back in my uni days, so I'm totally looking more into their products now.
I just love Aesop. Love it!

Same!!! Any recs from people from what products to try?
The fabulous face cleanser is pretty fabulous indeed! When ever I have a bit of a breakout, I use this and it clears it up in 2 senconds flat (okay, maybe not that fast but you know). I credit this cleanser with changing my skin. Before using it I didn't have pimples as such on my skin, but it was bumpy. You know, not pimple with white heads, but just lotls of little ones. I bought this on a trip to Canberra and the next morning it was almost completely clear and it has stayed that way since.
Oh I love my Mandarin Facial Hydrating Creme. It's perfect for my combination/oily, slight dry on cheeks!
love it! :penguin:

The fabulous Face Oil and Oil Free Hydrating Serum are my favourite Aesop products. Might I suggest anyone wanting to try the range to invest in one of the trial kits. They come with mini Cleanser, toner, moisturiser, Mask and serum and cost less than $50 from Adore.
They are a great introduction to the range and saves you shelling out a lot of $$$ on the full sized product should you not like something.

PCC, one of my pals has just started using the Fabulous Face Oil. In just over a week, her skin has transformed - it is so hydrated, smooth and beautiful.
And I agree, the kits are great value.

I've treid the mandarin moisturiser and its awesome, my skin loves it when it needs a bit of hydration..... but not too much if you know what i mean.
Parsley seed mask and chamomile anti blemish masks are both great too. Really work down into the pores.
I've also tried the lip hydrating oil thingy, sorry can't remember the exact name, but it didn't do anything for me.

Love Aesop. I'm currently trialling some new body oils they're releasing soon - they come in a 3 pack (50ml each) for $68, the pack is called Three Acts and the oils are called Breathless, Contempt and All's Well.

Why Contempt? I dont get it.
Apparently the three oils are each named after a film by French "auteur" Jean-Luc Godard.

If someone is eating a mandarin across the other side of the floor - I can smell it. Probably not the best then.

Loola you could use the A Rose By Any Other Name body wash as a handwash, that doesn't have any mandarin in it.
I heart the Resurrection hand wash, I always get comments on it when I have it in my bathroom at home.

How strong is the rose scent, Kate? Is it subtle?
I got the Sukin handwash which smells like fruit tingles :chuckle:

It's noticeable but it's not a "nanna" rose scent - they combine it with cardamom and pepper which makes it quite spicy. Definitely a unisex rose scent, not girly at all IMO.
The geranium leaf body wash is also divine but I just checked the ingredients and it has mandarin. I've never noticed the mandarin in it but if you're sensitive to it, it may be a no-go.

I think I am best of smelling them anyway before purchase so can go past Myer after work - I love the smell of cardamon so that may work. I love the look of them in bathrooms, it can be a present to myself for my new place.
I normally hate Rose smells too Loo. But when there is one that I like... I LOVE it.
