From April 4, David Jones in Rundle Mall will be introducing 5 new brands to their cosmetics department - Giorgio Armani, Kiehls, Molton Brown, SKII and also a very standout-ish MAC counter. Some great additions I think.

Do those of you interstate already have these brands in your DJ's stores?

Great new additions for Adelaide BM. :glee:

These counters exist at DJ's Melbourne and I particularly love Georgio Armani. This is a really top end Brand, from the beautiful packaging through to the pigments and textures.

Pout has been discontinued in Australia so unfortunately you won't be getting Pout. I was devastated when it was discontinued.

Not a MAC store rosie, but theres a large MAC counter in myer (city store). The weather in adelaide would be suited to what you're looking for, and its not too far away from tassie for you to visit when necessary

Myer, M.A.C. DJ's and the promise of Adorables - I might let him think he's won this one when all the other nonsense is over, and we are 'seriously' looking to move.

Mr12 & I are already looking, but hubby is just blue-skying.:typing:

We have Harbour town now, a discount shopping plaza thingy. With seconds stores and stuff. I got a wild pair of bright pink points there a few weeks ago. The shopping isn't all bad.

:chuckle: Is he still there? I know the Renaissance Centre closed a few years ago, but I'm pretty sure I saw him doing his thing somewhere else though. Oh how I used to dodge that area so I didn't have to go past him! But we've still got a very unique character who walks the streets of Adelaide, dressed only in Speedos and white gumboots, or a white leotard. He just walks the streets & doesn't talk to anyone, but he has become an icon here. I can't mention his name obviously or post pics, so you guys just have to come to Adelaide to see him! ;)

Loola - I miss John Martin's too! I used to shop there all the time!

In terms of shopping precincts, there are a few (but not as good as Melbourne though!):

- Rundle Mall obviously; then there's also Rundle Street which carries on from Rundle Mall - there's a few great shops there & also lots of cafes

- King William Road, Hyde Park and Unley Road, Hyde Park (just outside the city on the south side) - sort of like Melbourne's Chapel Street (but on a much much smaller scale).

- Burnside Village - about 15 minutes east of the city & a very exclusive suburb, with all upmarket/designer shops (and that's where our only Mecca store is!).

- Harbour Town - the factory outlets next to the airport.

- Westfield Marion - our biggest Westfield, which is about 25 minutes south of the city. Has a DJ's and Myer.

- The Parade, Norwood (5 minutes east of the city) - lots of boutiques and cafes

- Jetty Road, Glenelg (by the beach) - lots of cafes and shops

- O'Connell St and Melbourne St, North Adelaide - also has boutiques and lots of cafes/restaurants

There's quite a few other places, but I think they're the main ones.

:chuckle: Yes - that's so cool that he has a website. My cousin followed him around one day, just to see where he goes & what he does. He just walks the city streets & does nothing! And I like how he has 2 different outfits - one for summer (the Speedos and the gumboots), and he wears the leotard during the colder months.

Yeah - people always think I am English - then I tell them I'm from Adelaide and they pat me on the head and say "Oh...I'm so sorry..."

South Australian's were free settled unlike the Eastern states with convicts, they acredit this for the difference in accents, aristocracy etc.
