Dont know many Victorians who dont follow it! Has a lot to do with being brought up around it. We lived only blocks away from our oval. Went to high school just behind it and watched practice every Thursday afternoon. We lived it!:rollthoseeyes:

I frankly have no sympathy for the guy. Between his past sexual harassment charges and his current violence towards his girlfriend and his violence towards others he deserves all the punishment he gets!

Does the girlfriend need to take any responsibility here??

Women stay in abusive relationships for a variety of reasons, they don't deserve to be punished though! He is the one who beat her up.

I certainly didn't mean that anyone deserves to be treated like that. He has (allegedly) harmed her many times and if she stays with him through it I just don't have a whole heap of sympathy. I imagine there would be some perks in staying with Wayne Carey (particularly if she is as keen on coke as he is) and it just makes me wonder why she would stay with him.

I agree she should get out. However it sounds as though she might have some huge issues with drug and alcohol abuse also. Lets just hope that as human beings they can both get the help that they need in order to move on and live decent productive lives.

It always amazes me that people who have the world at their feet seem to always come undone with drug and alcohol abuse at some point.

Abused women do not think in the same way that non-abused women do. And addicts don't think the same way as non-addicts do. It's sad, but it's a fact.

My brother went to Crows game on Saturday and managed to get into the change rooms afterwards. He and Mum are die hard Adelaide fans.

He has jumpers signed by the entire team. One od Andrew Mcleods jumpers, a pair of Riccuito's boots etc etc.

Mum, Dad and my brother went to a game in Adelaide a couple of seasons ago. Mum and brother had their Adeliade gear on and Dad had his Essendon scarf on. They were waiting for a cab to take them to AAMI Stadium when a bus pulls over. It was crowded with Adelaide Crows fans. They pulled Mum and my Brother onto the bus and left Dad on the side of the road! :chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:
