Hi guys,
I am looking for a mascara that mainly just seperates my lashes. I have really naturally long and curly lashes so those techniques in mascaras aren't what I am looking for.
I really hate clumps in mascara and am currently using Estee Lauder something.
The lady at David Jones told me Lancome is the best for mascara. The lady at Lancome said that I should go with the Definicils. But when she tried it on me, it was still really thick (although she said this was because of the disposable brush she had to use). I just want a mascara that isn't too thick and has no clumps and separates my lashes nicely.
**Also my eyelashes are half blonde so mascara makes an enormous difference on me, But I don't want something heavy that will stick them all together. Just something light and fluffy that separates.
Thanks!!

Hi Seahorse
A great definition only mascasa is Lash Discovery by Mabelline.
Another good one is Telescope Clean Definition by Loreal - this sounds like exactly what you are after.

Oh ok great thanks,
Have you or anyone tried Lancome? Is it all it's hyped up to be or not really?
Does anyone know what the difference is between the Definicil Pro and just Definicil. It says on the website that the Pro has the curved wand, but I don't really understand what this achieves or which would be better suited to me?
Thanks,
Shell

I have used Lancome a few years ago, but stopped as I didnt see a different between their mascaras and the more budget variety. I think anyone can make a great mascara, luxe or budget.

Lash discovery about 12$ and I think the loreal one is $22.
Loola is right, the Chanel one is awesome. I am into big, volumnous, whorey mascaras though :chuckle:

I just went on the Maybelline website and realised I used to have lash discovery a few years ago. Can't remember it being amazing.
I found this new one though.. http://www.maybelline.com.au/PRODUCTS/Eyes/MASCARA/NEW_Define_A_Lash_Lengthening_Mascara.aspx
Looks good.

Yeah I'm a big fan PCC. Mostly because it washes off so easily and leaves no panda eyes, but it is still a good all-round mascara.

That Max Factor Masterpiece one is good for separating. I think any brush like that is good for separating. But that's about it

I went into Chanel and spoke to them about their new Inimitable. They use this new brush that is plastic instead of bristles and I have heard good reviews. I think I will get it!

Hi Seahorse :waving:
The Chanel one is gorgeous; if you want something less exxy, Max Factor has something very similar also with that type of brush. Worth comparing.

I agree completely. I have fair, long lashes and it's the only one I've found that doesn't clump just coats nicely.

My current fave is the Chanel one though the Max Factor Max Masterpiece is a good alternative. I do find the Chanel thickens mine adequately too.
The full and soft is a thickening mascara and remains popular.
If you are only wanting colour I would try the Maybelline Great Lash. I have never liked this one only because it just tends to colour my lashes and not provide any bulk but it sounds perfect for you.
I am personally not a fan of any of the tubular mascaras.

Looks good.
I bought this in Big W for a steal a couple of days ago and it is perfect for a natural, daytime look. Defines and separates (note - does not lengthen or thicken). Very soft plastic brush which makes it easy to get right into the base.

Seahorse also try ModelCo lash extend. My lashes are like yours and I love this.

I agree with the Chanel Inimitable and Maxfactor masterpiece.
I have both and if i had to choose between them i'd probably go for maxfactor because it's a tad better at seperating. :)

My cousin has extremely long and sparse lashes. She tried the Napoleon Madame Curl Curl and found it too runny and smudgy... so I think medium soft bristles like Maybelline Full and Soft

I might have to try this one too. I have Maybelline Lash Stylist at the moment and I hate it! Even if I scrape some of the mascara off the brush it is too thick and the skinny brush has not hope of separating my lashes, let alone evenly distributing the product. :explode:
