I'm 24, I have oily skin prones to breakouts (not excessive) with some mild scarring and uneven skintone as a result.

I've tried Alpha-H (it was recommended) with disasterous results. After using the Triple Action Cleanser and Balancing Moisturiser I developed dry rough brown patches of skin around my mouth and chin, which are now peeling. If I got it anywhere near my eyes my skin went red sore , scaly and I end up looking 90. I guess Glycolic acid is not my thing, but I've never had sensitivity problems before.

I use Clinique City Block 30+ every day and don't spend much time in the sun as I have very fair skin so it isn't sun damage, but that is what is is like, the skin discolours, blisters and peels.

Can you recommend any products to me that will clean my skin and keep it clear(er), youthfull looking whilst not causing the severe reaction I had with Alpha-H.

Welcome to the forum!

You poor thing! :) nothing worse than products causing such an adverse reaction!

Lady Allison will be able to help for sure.

Hi there

You can try this

Dermalogica special cleansing gel:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=9617
this doesn't have any glycolic but gives a nice fresh clean.

ulta a sheer cream:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=10699
start on this once a day and you can eventually be using it both morning and night time but just once a day for the first two weeks then step it up.

it's really light and clearing on the skin.

I only recommended two products for now... were you wanting to look into a serum, exfoliant and mask?
