Do you ever buy a new piece and then can't figure out how to wear it?
You try it on with everything in your wardrobe and it takes you a good while to finally find its perfect combination? What about those pieces you are still struggleing with? The ones you love and are dying to wear but you just haven't worked it out yet. Post em here and we'll give it a red hot go for you. Sometimes another pespective is a relavation.
I'm going first!
I have a green sleevless (padded) parka with a detachable faux fur lined hood. I adore the colour but as I am short I worry that padded is not a good idea on my frame. I read it is in for Winter so hope to be able to ressurect it. Sure I could do the sporty thing but I like to dress outside the square a bit. Any ideas?

Yes, I agree with fusspot. Making sure your boots have heels will give you height and a nicer shaped butt. The feature is your vest, so all the other lines should be clean. I know you like out there dressing, but your not a Christmas tree and if you do too much you will look too busy.
Can you tell I love Trinny and Sussanah?
It's funny because my job list for the Easter weekend included tidying up my wardrobe and making a list of missing elements. Now I'm inspired. Thanks.

:chuckle: Bring it on! I love Trinny & Sussanh.
I have been wearing it as a feature with black skinnys and a plain top with black ballets but I think you are right about the boots over the jeans. Will give it a go. ;)

I think it would look really good with slim black jeans/pants and a fitted, knitted turtle-neck skivvy - maybe also in black. Or perhaps dark denim fitted jeans and a white or ivory skivvy - green looks fab with shades of cream and ivory. I think that keeping your other items very slim and fitted is the trick to counterbalance the puffiness of the parka.
It would also look great with riding-style boots and jodhpur-style pants ticked into the boots - you can really play up the country/European element with the jacket.
What shade of green is it? What colour is the fur? :)

Sorry, maybe I should have just posted a pic to begin with. I really love the colour, that's actually why I brought it. I would not normally buy something like this.

That colour is sublime - I adore green! I think the ivory skivvy or black would definitely work - do you like skivvies? I'm now also thinking of a cute but sophisticated ski bunny look - definitely some tight jeans but the green would also work with bone or brown pants and mittens.
Or even over very tight black dress or skirt - a stretchy wintery fabric with opaque tights and ankle boots...

Or...(now I'm excited, lol)...with a tight skirt/dress even a mini skirt/dress and really woolly or ribbed cream tights and brown/caramel boots.

That's a great idea Saph! Would look so cute with ribbed tights and boots. Great colour M.

I agree with Sapph. A great mini some stockings and a pair of boots would look great.

If you wanted to add something funky, I think a simple head scarf would look great. But Im not sure if thats something you would wear. But I think the suggestions so far are great! If the jeans were dark, and you had a dark top underneath, you could get away with cream coloured boots because it wouldnt be fighting the colour of the green, but would give your out fit some punch to it!
