For a few weeks, I've been banging onto anyone who'll listen that shoulder-length-ish is the New Length. Look at Madonna! Kate Moss! And now, Gwynny! A woman who has had the same, long hair since The Sliding Doors crop that was the Pob of its day. Reasons why it's so lovely and desirable, and not at all a 'nothing length', and why it is especially great for those who have long hair and who have possibly been trapped in the...

Gwyneth is looking hot!
She looks good, but to me that lenght of hair looks like she trying to grow it and it hasn't reach the desired length.

OK, so, I love Gwyneth probably more than you should love a celebrity. Anyway. Part of her "thing" was that gorgeous long hair! I am just not a fan of this middle-length (probably because I've spent half my life with it). I agree with whoever said it looks like she's growing it out. Don't love it, Gwyn!
Although I will add that some people who are obsessed with their long hair look SO much chicer and sexier when it's cut dramatically shorter. I got mine cut from waist-length to shoulder-length and people couldn't stop remarking on it for like two weeks.

While she looks SO much better without the looooong hair dragging her face down, I have to agree with VeeE... the hair here isn't great.
The cut looks a little scraggaly (is that a word)? Maybe she just didn't brush it or something when she got snapped :P
But maybe I should stop bagging out celebrites and go get my own ends trimmed :redcheeks:

Nah Sunlii, you're totally allowed to bag em out even if you're looking like a homeless hobo! It's just the rules.
Gwyn looked awesome with the waves in her hair when she was wearing that iconic black-shirt-and-jeans combo. She should wear it wavy more often instead of dead straight (although I do dig the dead straight sometimes too).

I love her hair. I must admit I absolutely adored it when it was really long but heck Gwynny would look fabulous with a crew cut she is so hot.
How much does little Apple look like her Mummy?
I think she looks fabulous! :clapping:

I like it too! I actually like the slight wave in it, adds more body. though when its straight she also looks great, ive always liked her style though. Simple yet so stylish!

She has natural style - long hair or none.

I agree that at times she leans towards the bland end of the dressing scale but I maintain she has natural style - think of in the 90s when she was quite a classic but innovative dresser. She was the queen of the minimalist movement. I also loved that peachy orange frock she wore at the Oscars a couple of years ago and the gorgeous cream gown she wore when pregnant with Apple. Those were more unusual choices that worked to her favour.

Blythe does look amazing - can't recall seeing her in anything recently other than the Meet the Parents movies - but she has amazing bone structure, and her skin looks fab. She looks pretty much the same as she did 30 years ago. *jealous*

Yes - If I want to look like a mix of Cate Blanchett, Catherine Deneuve and Grace Kelly now, I want to look like Blythe in my older years, that's for sure. :chuckle:

Hehehe isn't it funny how we base our "beauty" role models on people with the same hair colour/complexion whom we could conceivably emulate? I always think I'd like to look like a mix of Catherine Zeta Jones and Rachel Weisz!

Well its a more obtainable (slightly) dream, isn't it? :chuckle:
PS Good choices Ozz - if I was a brunette I would choose them too. Love Rachel W - so elegant.

:chuckle: Ozzy that is so funny because all my life I have had people mention this - I once had a boyfriend who carried a magazine cut-out of Gwenyth in the film Sylvia in his wallet as a joke because he thought I looked like her character in that film (I had shorter hair then) and liked to pretend he was dating Gwyneth. At least I think it was a joke...
Anyhoo :redcheeks: Friends and even strangers in the street have told me this and I can sort of see it...but she comes up trumps, alas!

This is actually almost exactly how I want to cut my hair too - but uhh, yeah after reading the thread, remind me to not post any pics!
I am hoping my hair is long enough to give to charity once it's cut, if I can get the courage to actually do it.

OMG I love Julianne Moore too. Once in group therapy (stop laughing.......ok, ok, laugh if you must) we had to pick who would play us in a movie. I picked Julianne Moore, not because she looks like me but just, I dunno, I kind of like her attitude and her approach. I also like the mix of movies she's done - offbeat arthouse PT Anderson, mixed with comedy, drama, thriller etc. Plus she's in my #1 favourite movie of all time, The Big Lebowski!!

I always wanted to look like Kelly Kapowski from "Saved by the Bell" or, Scarlet O'Hara - and thinking about it, they both have dark hair and green eyes like me.

Julianne Moore has that gorgeous milk skin and red hair - and she holds herself with real poise. I also think she is an excellent actress. That's why I like her anyway ;)
