Pregnancy can be the best and worst time of your life.
The best - for the obvious reasons - there’s nothing like feeling your child move inside you. That first kick, the first squirm and imagining what your child will look like. As a friends said to me “it’s amazing how much you can love something even before you have seen it.”
But with all those joys comes stretch marks, swollen ankles, insomnia, exhaustion, random pains and hideous spider veins. It’s no picnic for the body.
For many women there’s also the fear that the ingredients in beauty products could cause birth defects or even worse - miscarriage. So what should you avoid? Will anything prevent stretch marks? And is organic the way to go?

Like the blog says, it's great in the whole feeling the baby move thing, but really not good in the way the body (and self esteem) takes a hiding.

But it must be worth it holding that baby in your arms?

i couldn't see the link :whistle::shakehead:

cornstarch powder is the best thing to use anyway as it is digestable , & def the best for babies / kids

was it about how it goes into your lungs or was it based on the not sweating toxins out one ?

When I became pregnant and esp when the baby was born was the time I got really serious about natural products. Babies are such precious little things with this divinely soft skin. I couldn't understand why so many people chose the slather their newborns in Mineral oil? When I told other mothers what it was they didn't seem to care as it was produced by a trusted manufacturer, so I started buying them natural products as gifts for their new babies and they were all amazed.
I also started to use natural on my own skin and found the products were the first to calm down my crazy hormonal skin that even doctor's & beauticians were at a loss to help.
