I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend some good fragrance free products that won't compete with perfume.

I'm loving my perfume but annoyed when I use something else (eg hair creme) that competes with the smell. I've been looking for either fragrance free or low fragrance products.

One thing I have found that's quite good is Rexona 24/7 deoderant (Cotton)

Thanks! :).

Hmmm, interesting thread. Pretty much all of my facial skin care is fragrance free (other than what the ingerdients smell like), but I love love love my body products to be scented.

I like my Ultraeuticals body bar- which is a body cleanser that you use in the shower. It initially has an orange sherbert kind of smell, but you defiantely can't smell it once you're out of the shower.

Another fave is St Ives body moisturiser. It does have a vanilla fragrace (I think it might come in a scent free version as well), but again once you've put it on the scent dissapears.

Speaking of deoderant- I use the Nivea Pearl one and that doesn't compete with fragrance at all.

Hi KeLLsTar :)

This can be a tricky thing - you are probably aware of this/already do this but one of the easiest ways to use products that do not compete with your perfume is to use a matching perfumed body lotion - most perfumes make these and some lines make hair mists, soaps etc in matching scents.

Another idea is to pick out the base notes of your perfume (ie vanilla or rose or amber) and buy products that are subtly perfumed with the same base notes.

If you really do want to go the fragrance-free route, try soaps and washes and moisturisers from derma/chemist brands - Hamilton do great quality body lotions and body washes without perfume, Neutrogena do hyper-allergenic, fragrance free soaps, and I think Ego do a fragrance free deodorant. Also try Simple, DermaVeen and Avene (all from chemists)

With hair it is a little harder...Redkin do a hair serum/gloss that is basically low-fragrance. With shampoos I know Ego does a fragrance free range but have not tried it so cannot vouch for it. Also maybe Klorane shampoos?

For me I can't go past Clinque Water Therapy Whipped Body Cream. It comes in a big jar, has no scent and moisturises really well. It absorbes super easily as well.

I know this is no help, but personally I like all my products to sort of mishmash together. I don't mind my perfume being mingled in with my body lotion and shampoo. I think it all mixes in to create a nice personal scent.

Other than that, I second what Saph said about picking bath & body products with a similar note to your perfume. I do this all the time. I'll pair a musky body wash with a perfume that contains a lot of musk, a floral shower gel with a floral perfume, or a fruity one with a fresh fruity fragrance. Love it!

I like some things to smell good - like body lotions. If I don't have an exact match, I will go complementary.

I don't use anything on my hair, but my shampoo at the moment smells like orchids & coconut milk, but the scent doesn't linger long after a wash.

Most soaps/body washes fade after a little while too. Mind you, that could just be me.

Thanks for your recommendations everyone.

I'd love to be able to have maching lotions etc, for the perfumes I have but don't think that would be possible right now, I think the best option would be to get the non-fragranced ways.

Fragrances used to be subtle but I'm finding in the last few years that manufacturers are going "fragrance crazy". From soaps, to shampoos, even fabric softener & toilet paper. They're getting stronger and stronger.
