Hello, I have long hair extensions (real, Remy hair) and have been conditioning them with Terax and using a leave in conditioner. They get horribly tangled and unruly at a moments notice and I have been told have been affected by the use of a purple, de-brassing shampoo that my hairdresser had used on my real hair (purple shampoo has stripped extensions of a protective layer). I'm looking for a styling product that will weigh it down a bit and give it definition to stop it tangling so badly, was thinking of the MOP C-System paste or something. Can you help??!! Thanks :typing:

Hi there,

now I am not an expert with hair extensions however I do have the link to an article I wrote that will help and I think you will be fine with hair care products that don't contain protein.

Here is the article:http://beautyiq.adorebeauty.com.au/index.php?news=122

you could look at the kusco murphy lavender hair cream for nourishment and weight:http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=555

for tangles and extra conditioning you may find the MOP conditioning mist helpful: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=2746

the c straight may be good for you if you have longer straight hair: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewitem.asp?idproduct=10871 it will help with definition and frizz.

I hope that helps a little!

Good luck. You will notice that most of our products on the website have ingredients listings so you can always check to ensure that any hair care products that you are keen on don't contain protien or anything else you need to avoid

Well today I went and had my consultation for Hair Extensions. I then left there and went and hat my hair cut and foiled.

Here's the verdict: $1,400 for premium human Hair Extensions plus another $140 per 8 weeks to get them adjusted, plus a truck load of products to maintain them. They make you sign a contract to say if you don't follow the maintenance rules they are not responsible for what happens to your hair.

They think I am a fantastic candidate for these extensions (naturally darlink). I knew they would be expensive and I am prepared for that but then I think of all the beauty products I could buy with that money and they suddenly become less desirable.

They even have clip in extensions to show you what you will look like with the real extensions. Oh how I love the way it looks! Maybe I might wait and get it done for the wedding, that makes all the outlay a bit more justified!!

Would be a great surprise for the wedding as well, and would add someting to the photo memories. I am trying to imagine you with them now !

It just felt so weird having thick hair again.

I have lost 11kg in weight over the past month so I am really hoping I can lose another 11 by the wedding which isn't unrealistic considering it is still nine months away. Just have to hope those doctors don't put the steroid dose up again!

I wish! I am seriously scared of meeting Alex Perry to have my first dress consultation in a few weeks. I just imagine him giving me the once over saying NO NO NO NO NO this girl is just all wrong for my dresses!

He is doing my bridesmaids dresses as well and of course they will be pink!

Just always wear your sunnies on top of your head and he will think you're kindred spirits!
