I recently had my first perm done and I'm not sure how I should be managing it. I have been told lots of different things - wash it everyday, wash it sparingly, with product, without.. what do you think?

Oh Goshlings:shockedhair: Is she kidding that she recently had her first perm? Are perms making a comeback? God I hope not!!
Perms scream 1980's horror memories for me! But at the time I thought I was so cool because I got a spiral perm and that was special because they put the rollers in a different way! I got a perm even though my hair was naturaly curly! I was also super cool because I started using Joico products after my first perm and that was a seriously big deal because it was $13 and came from the hair dresser!

I've never had a perm. I've thought about it, cos I would love love love to have curls. Can you get a perm that gives you a nice curl (ie not 80s spiral curls?)?

If you could ask that would be great! Might be my next style when it gets a little longer (if I decide to grow the fringe out).
I had a perm when I was about 14 :redcheeks: :redcheeks: Most stupid thing I have ever done in my life! It was a nightmare!
Yes, I think you can go to the hairdressers and get loose curls, as I've enquired about it before, the hairdresser said that it doesn't last very long though - they 'drop' very quickly compared to the tighter ringlet perm.
