I have this bizarre problem with my lips. I cannot wear any lipsticks or lip gloss as it leaves a residue on my lips some time after. It's like a white substance towards the inner part of my lips. I'm not sure what this could be as I have tried exfoliating them. Could you please shed some light on what you think could be the problem.
Thank you so much!!

Not sure could be petroleum or the like. Is it gungy?
I'd suggest using Shizen's lip serum under your lip gloss/stick it will keep your lips supremely hydrated.

You could also use more natural alternaltives to lip colour

I'm not sure what it is. All i know is it looks icky! The shizen and i.d products look good.
I just don't want to purchase them and find i have the same problem though.
Sarah do you know which products do this to you? I find it is anything I put on my lips.
Thank you!

None as I always have this problem!
I have tried several brands of lipsticks and lip glosses but they all do the same thing.
I think my make up looks incomplete without a little gloss but i cant wear it. its no gloss or white lips! Lucky my lips naturally have some colour to them.

Hi Wildfire :waving:
Sometimes I get this if I wear a decent layer of gloss and don't smudge it all day (by eating or whatever) so by arvo there's that white stuff on the inside! Gross hey! I also get if if i put a thick layer of balm on before bed
I'm not sure what it is, but instead of skipping on the lip colour, why don't you try some lip tint/stain - they don't tend to leave any residue

hmmmm unusual. I do find that with some brand that it happens.
you could try a lip stain: http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/adorebeauty/viewItem.asp?idproduct=7766
or penciling in your lips with a lip liner and adding a touch of gloss or lipstick colour over the top....
hmmmm a mystery if it happens with all brand with you- may well be an odd chemical thing with your saliva or lips that doesn't sit well with the ingredients.... ???
