Oh my god how many nail polishes is that? Was there a special if you buy all of them?
There are 7 nail polishes in the pack for $99!! Too cool!

Thanks for putting up the link. I think I need brighter colours though in summer... hmmm... or not...
I like bright colours on my toes and pale colours on my fingers in summer! I can never do brights on my hands... whenever I do I take it off the next day 'cause I get sick of it!

I am so behind on the nail polish trends. I am only just getting into dark colours.
I put in my first order earlier in the week for OPI nailpolishes... I got;
LPAD
Black Onyx
Mrs O'Leary's BBQ
Light My Saphire.
I can't wait for them all to arrive so I can play with them... I haven't used OPI before.... :glee:
You will love OPI Angela, they are the only nail polishes I buy!! I mean I would buy Chanel but they are double the price and not doubly nice!! IMO.

As I am having a huge M.A.C Phase at the moment I have recently purchased a few polishes from .M.A.C! I only wear polish on my toes and just a coat of clear on my fingers (and a french mani for special occassions). The four I now have from M.A.C are:
Nightfall - Metallic Charcoal
Nocturnelle - Black
Dark Angel - Dark Purple
Spicemix - Metallic Burgundy

I love the names too M!! Whenever a new collection comes out, checking out the names is one of my favourite things to do! I have often wondered whose job it is to come up with the names. And what a job it would be to come up with the colours!! To gain inspiration from the colours of a country or region and then translate them to a cohesive collection - fun!

Just got my order from Kit today which included the new Havaianas polishes in Mango and Blush. They look awesome in the bottle - can't wait to try them on. Very spring/summery colours.
Also, I was just browsing OPI's website & they have released a small collection for Halloween 2007. Anyone daring enough?? http://www.opi.com/Halloween07.asp

Love the glow-in-the-dark one!!! Halloween is soooo fun, I really wish we celebrated it here. If anyone ever gets the chance to be in the US during Halloween, do it! They go to a huge amount of trouble for it and it's just excellent fun!

I know...I wish Halloween was bigger in Oz too!
That glow in the dark one did catch my eye also. I do have one polish which glows under certain lights - it's a Christian Dior one that came out a few years ago. It's a nude/beigey colour with gold glitter, and when I would go to a nightclub, certain lights would make my nails glow. I'm not sure if it still works - haven't been clubbing for a while. It's probably past its useby date lol!

VeeE I guess it's cos there's nowhere (NOWHERE - I had to get a salon to order this colour in for me!) to buy OPI here and I've generally been pretty happy with your Revlons and your Napoleons and what-have-you!! For great quality I love Christina Fitzgerald but her colour range is pretty limited unfortunately. But yeah I will take note of how the OPI lasts and report back accordingly!! I've had mani/pedis with OPI heaps of times and haven't noticed much of a difference in the lasting time, but we'll see!!

My fingernails have started to chip (also my first colour OPI) and they are quite short but it could be because I type all day long... i did however put the OPI Sensitive and Peeling on as a base coat and then again as a top coat (as it's super shiny!) so hopefully that will help... chipping is only minor and only I can see it (but I'm my own worst critic of course!) :whipcrack:

I think this is why Mum has asked for a petrol voucher for her birthday - her man lives a 5 hour drive from here, and due to family stuff, he is rather restricted in his ability to travel for the next few months. So she is travelling, and with prices like they are, she is looking for any and all assistance. He does offer to pay for her petrol, but she is proud, and won't take it.

D'ya reckon this will inspire a surge in footcare? If the prices go sky high, will it mean more people will be hoofing it, and will therefore take more notice/care of their feet?
And back on polishes, can someone recommend a light polish (preferably OPI) that isn't sheer, and has a bitof shimmer? I prefer metallics, and I :hearts: my 2 OPI's, but I want something lghter to wear at work.

It is, but unfortunately our cities are not designed for walking and bike-riding! We've been designing from a car-centric POV for 70 years and if you live in the burbs, walking everywhere is not that plausible unfortunately. :shakehead:

I got a couple of colours from the OPI Indian collection yesterday - Charmed by a Snake and Yoga-ta Get This Blue.
I've already got Brisbane Bronze from the Australia collection, but Charmed is more of a golden bronze compared to BB, which is more of a reddish bronze.
And YGTB - wow, what a colour. It is a beautiful rich cobalt blue, and has the teeniest amount of aqua shimmer to it. But this one is definitely a true blue, no matter which way & in which lighting you look at it. I never thought I would buy or use a blue polish, but I've got it painted on my thumb right now & I can't stop looking at it!

Has anyone used any Versace cosmetics before? Cosmo Cosmetics just got some in. I got a nail polish to try, only $10.
Versace's Heat Nail Laquer in V2045W which is an irridesant dark purple.

M, I have seen the range in Myer. The products are beautifully packaged but not my colours.
Let us know how you find the nail polish!

I got the Rimmel Black Cherries that CeeJaye posted about. Still Rimmel blue on my nails at the moment, but will change to the new one in the next few days. Next planned purchase is Rimmel Zeitgeist (probably spwlt that wrong).......

Another Rimmel - the chemist I was at didn't have the Zwhatever one, so I got Pink Icing instead. That gives me: Fuel (blue) Black cherries and the pink. And 2 OPI's and a sparkle-filled hot pink (which is for toes only).
My collection is growing..............:glee:
