I hate the smell of plain air, and I want EVERYTHING to be scented!! I have plug-in air thingies everywhere, and I always pop some essential oils in the mop water when I'm cleaning. I also choose cleaning products based predominantly on their smell!! I have been known (after looking around to make sure no one is watching) to unscrew the top of a bottle of Spray n Wipe or a bathroom cleaner to assess its smell before I buy it! I'm also really picky about laundry detergent and I buy it solely based on its smell (if you must know, I buy Dynamo liquid - I love "detergent" smell and I hate those floral smells like orchid, frangipani or even worse, "sunshine"!).
BTW I will add that I am a bit of a clean freak and my house is always pretty spotless, so I don't have "dirty" smell masked by air fresheners...I hate that! (Gawd that sounds a bit full of myself doesn't it?? :chuckle: )
"sunshine"
GAH! Sunshine is not a smell!!!! I would like to ask the people who come up with this to bescribe to me what sunshine smells like.

LOL yeah I guess it doesn't!! Well there are whole perfume categories of "marine" and "ozonic" scents - I guess it is up to the imagination of the perfumer to evoke the scent rather than mimic it....cos yeah I can't see a true mimic of "water" being all that great to wear. Having said that, some perfumer made scents of "plain air" and "spring water" not too long ago and the sold like hotcakes.

Well, see to me they are not saying that fragrance smells of sunshine, but rather you can waer it in the sunshine 'cause it's a summery fragrance- where as some home product are like Fragrance: Sunshine.
See what I mean?

Yea I agree Veee:chuckle: All those artifically frangranced frangrances all smell the same to me. I love the smell of bleach (for cleaning not to sniff :shakehead::chuckle:) its such a clean smell and eucalyputs oil too!! But cant stand all those airfreshener/carfreshener/washigpowder smells.
I just adore Perfect Potions ranges of Oils and room sprays. Soo much nicer thatnchemicals (hahah says the bleach lady!!)
To me sunshine smells like a hot summers day:the beach, sunscreen, juice, and green grass.:glee: IS IT SUMMER YET??!!! :tears:

Oh I loves me some bleach. Love when you walked into your freshly cleaned, sparkling white bathroom and you get hit with a wave of lemony bleachiness! It screams "I'm clean, if not a bit dangerous to your health!". Mmmmm.

Ummmmm........ the smells have gone into my laundry liquid. I mean, it's not a bad smell, but I am not liking it at all. I want my clothes to smell 'clean' not 'old ladies house that's been closed forever, and refreshed with carpet freshener every week'. :typing:

I love the smell of plain old fresh air! Especially in Canberra winters when it comes straight off the mountains. Crisp, cold, green - beautiful. Makes you feel good to be alive.

I love my aromatherapy oils but I agree with RBB, you simply can't beat FRESH air especially after the rain.

Yeah, but it's only really effective in summer, when they smell like sunshine :penguin:
