My favourite jeans have died!! They have a tear in the bum, but not on the seam, it's right on the bumcheek - and therefore, I fear, irreparable. Arrgghhhh!!!!! These were my HG jeans - I've had them for five years and I could always put them on no matter what. They fit well, gave me no muffin top, and were comfy as anything. They were my faithful wardrobe standards!!! Nooooooooooooooooo I'm so sad!

I know, I'm so stressed. I have other jeans but none like these - they had gone all lovely and soft around the waistband, so they were truly "fitted" to me, but they still had good firmness and shape around the bum.
BOO-HOO!!! Now I have to go jeans shopping!!! :shakehead::shakehead: :( :( :( :( :tears: ( <----- that's me on a day of jeans shopping - it gets progressively worse as the day wears on)

No that's just the thing!! They are from Jeanswest and the exact same jeans are still there, same fit, same colour, same size - and THEY'RE NOT THE SAME!! I tried some on a few months ago and they feel completely different. Mine have been TRAINED to fit my body, trained I tell you!! And I just don't have the patience to train a whole new pair. Let's face it, my world is over.

Oz you are a CLASSIC!!!! Now these aren't technically jeans... but I found amazing pants recently at Jag. They are in their denim range and they are black, the softest feeling pants you will ever feel. Soft denim. They fit so well - high-ish without being nanna, but no ass crack when you bend over. They have a straight leg - not too skinny, not too fat - flattering. I am in LOVE with them. And only $100 too. Try them out - you won't be disappointed!!

No they are definitely not like the tencel ones! Hahaha. My dad's partner thought they felt a bit like moleskins - that sort of soft - but they are thinner. Hard to describe. But they look fab and feel soooo good. They just don't have that 'tight' feeling that denim does.

Phew. Thank goodness for the departure of tencel. last thing we need is a reappearance of that!! Tragic! hahaha.
Hmm I am intrigued now. Jag always has a lovely fit too so i'll definately be checking them out!

I do have a lot of Jag things and I love them too, but unfortunately we don't even have a Myer here!! Not until 2009! It is a sad state of affairs indeed.
Currently I am wearing (in a vain attempt to break them in) my tier-two, b-grade jeans. My old Second-Choicers. They have to step up to the challenge now. But they're still a bit stiff and don't quite fit right. Oh, and we have muffin top issues. But I'm determined to make them work.
Ahhhh, good old Tencel. EVERYONE had tencel jeans at my school. "You know, they're made out of bark?" So fancy!

I always wear my jeans out on the legs. My favourite jeans recently got a big hole in the inside seam where my legs rub together!
I have a few pairs of new jeans now. If I find jeans that are the right cut and are loose in the legs I buy a few pairs as I have trouble getting them. However my new jeans have all got a bit big. I have lost a bit of weight recently and am in between sizes again. It such a pain as even with a belt they are still too loose and seem to sag in the bum. I hate being between sizes it really sucks.

Jeans...jeans....don't get me started. I have about ten pairs. Is that wrong???
Mine either wear out in the butt (almost every pair of Levis, especially the 501s) or I get massive seam splits up the legs. Usually because they're too long so I just cut them off at the ends, and the seams eventually give out from wear and tear.
I'm cool with buying a new pair, mostly because I'm jeans-obsessed; but if I see even a hint of fluro lighting, I'm outta there. Wonder what's worse, butt-hanging-out-of-jeans or bad-changeroom-induced-muffin top? It's a tough one, but I'm gonna go with butt.

I just end up getting soooo depressed! I'm inevitably a bigger size in jeans than in regular pants for some reason, and I hate being in jeans shops where the SA is there forcing you to come out in bad pair after bad pair. It's humiliating.

OMG I feel your pain! :hugs:
I managed to get a major RIP in my Marcs Babydoll jeans when in Canada. Of course I didn't notice straight away so was swanning around the airport and then at my friend's house (with his WHOLE extended family) doing the intros etc, when I tugged down my jumper and my hand hit butt cheek! To make matters worse my luggage had gotten delayed so that's ALL I had available to wear.
OMG :redcheeks::redcheeks::redcheeks::redcheeks::redch eeks::redcheeks::redcheeks:
I was SOOOOO embarassed. His mum, bless her, obviously saw how desperate I was so managed to get them off me, got one of her daughters (luckily they were visiting and were of similar size) to lend me jeans for the day, while she did a quick mending job on them.
I still have them... haven't worn them again but it's so funny as I pulled them down on the weekend and thought maybe if I make some more patchy areas in them to give them that destroyed look they'll look OK and I can wear them again... still deciding on that.
They were my first ever jeans to 'go' on me... my absolute favourite pair are starting to wear a bit thin I've noticed so they will no doubt go soon :tears: and they are from the USA and I can't get any here - not even by mail order :shakehead:

These ones developed a little hole in the inner seam of one of the legs but I thought "meh, it will be easily mendable" but looking back that should have been my first warning that they were about to go! I've decided to take a philosophical attitude - obviously they weren't meant to be worn by me for much longer. Maybe it's a sign that I should switch to skirts! Luckily summer is around the corner and it won't be jeans weather any longer.

If you are thinking of throwing them out - get creative and turn them into a denim skirt! Least you know it'll not have muffin top and still fit around the waistband... and you can get a little quirky with patches etc even....

He he... or turn them into shorts - but you'd still have to do something bout the tear.
Make it into a mini denim skirt... you know how they cut the seams and re-stitch, you might be able to do it so that the tear is covered... hmmm off to the dressmaker with you!! :whipcrack:

Hahaha that is so true. Navy pants scream "corporate ugly"! I would try some higher end older women's shops - cos we all know that old ladies love their navy pants, but the more expensive shops tend to cater for older women who do actually realise that pants don't have to be pleat-front and tapered.
